SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 286,650, dated October 16, 1383.
Application filed May 26, 1883. (No modelJ To a-Z whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ALBERT L. TALcoTT, of Boston, in the county of Sui-folk and State of lvlassachusetts, have invented certain vnew and useful Improvements in Combination Docket-Cases, of which the following is a speciiication. p
The obj eet of' my invention is to provide a l cheap, simple, and convenient pocket-case for holding matches, car-tickets, postage-stamps,
or similar small articles, each having a separate receptacle or pocket, and also containing an erasable tablet, a railway time-table, anda ealendar,'all being detachable and changeable; and it consists in the construction, combination, and arrangement of the several parts of the device, as ,hereinafter more fully described, andset forth inthe claim.
Figure I represents aperspeotive view, showing my invention in an Open position. Fig. 2 represents a longitudinal section through the saine in a closed position. Fig. 3 .represents a cross-Section of one side portion containing a match-ease or other similar receptacle. Fig. a represents an elevation ofthe opposite side portion, containing receptacle for postage-stamps or horse-car tickets.
Arepresents'one of the outer side portions," having near its end a car-ticket pocket, B, and upon its opposite or inward side portion a postagefstamp pocket, C, while the opposite side portion, A', has a match-receptacle, D, which is retained expanded or open by means of a curved metal plate, E, iitted between the outside material and the lining thereof, and having scroll'edges, over which the material forming the inward face of the inatoh-receptacle D passes, the mouth or opening of which is constructed and arranged near the middle or back folding portion of the 40 said side portions, A and A', as shown. The inward lining forming that portion of the match receptacle D is stitched around its edges to the outside material, leaving a space between it and said outside forming a pocket or receptacle, F, the mouth of whieh is loi cated-opposite the mouth of the said match pocket or receptacle D, and into which is inserted the several detachable slips of paper or card-board forming the railroad time-table H, 5o the erasable tablet L, and calendar P, and a match-igniting tablet 7 may also be introduced, if found desirable, the said postagestamp pocket C being secured upon the inward face of the said lining which forms the 5 5 said railroad-ticket receptacle, as shown.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is-.
' As an improved article of manufacture, the pocket-ease consisting of the side portion A 6o having a carticket pocket, B, and a postage stamp pocket, C, upon opposite sides thereof, andV the side portion A', having the match,-
