i EYE-WATER.
SPECIFICATION forming part' of Letters Patent No. 284,385, dated September 4, 1883.
Application filed March 8, 1883. (Specimens.)
.To aZl whom it may concern Be it known that I, GEORGE W; Soor'r, a citizen of the United States, residing at Defiance, in the county of Defiance and State of ounces; sulphate of zinc, three ounces; alum, A
three ounces rose-water, two ounces; sulphate of morphia, one-fourth dram; hydrastis canadensis, one-half ounce; ,pure soft water,
one quart.
These ingredients are to be thor oughly mixed, and then bottled for use.
This preparation is to be used to bathe the eye, and can be diluted with Water, the quantity being governed according to the nature and severity of the affection. In serious cases it may not be necessary to dilute it at all, and
it will act to secure rapid relief to the patient.
-I claim as my invention- The herein-described medical compound for the treatment of diseases of the eye, comprising sulphate of iron, sulphate of copper, sulphate of zinc, alum, rose-water, sulphate of 0 morphia, hydrastis canadensis, and pure Water, all compounded in about the proportions In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I have hereto affixed my signature in presence of two witnesses.
