SPEGIFICATION'forming' part of Letters Patent No. 2 79,009, dated June 5, 1883. Applicatiomfiled April 16, 1883: (No specimens.)
T0 ail whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, ANDERS PERSSON and Orro StiDERBERG, both of Bangor, in the county of Penobscot and State of Maine, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Emery-Wheels and we do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description'of the invention, that will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same. 1,
Our invention relates to an improvement in emery-wheels and it consists of an improved composition for said wheels, capable of carrying a larger proportion of emery than, is gen erally used in wheels made in the usual manner.
I11 making our composition we use about eight (8) ounces of pulverized oxide of iron, (a mineral found in the ironproducing States, commonly sold under the name of metallic paint,)four (4) ounces ofFrench yellow, (viz.,
yellow ocher,) and eight ounces of Cornish stone, (a pulverized 1nineral= known to the trade under this name.) \Ve then take five ounces of this mixture and add to it one pound of ground emery of the fineness required, mixing thoroughly with alittle water. The paste thus formed we mold in the usual manner, and
subject it to a gradually-increasing heat,up to i ANDEns PERSSON. OTTO SODERBERG.
