PRESS FOR ATTACHING LEATHERS TO BILLIARD-CUES.

Specicaton of Letters Patent No. 27,093, dated February 14, 1860.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, VILLIAM L. ALDRICH, of Atlanta, in the county'of Fulton and State of Georgia, have invented a new and useful Press for Leathering Billiard-Cues, which is fully represented in the accompanying drawings, reference beieng had thereto and making a part of this application.

Figure l represents part of a cue, :Eastened in the frame D, to receive the leather, which is worked by the thumb screw marked A, under lever E. O is the socket for the leather, worked by thumb screw B.

Fig. 2 represents a closed View of the lever, which screws the cue in its proper place, to secure the leather, worked by the thumb screw A.

Fig. 3 represents a thumb screw same as B and C, a socket detached which may or may not be used.

The advantage of this invention is, lst, that a cue may be leathered without springing or binding the cue and much quicker' than by the ordinary way; 2nd, the cue is centered with the socket attached to the thumb screw B, and by this means the leather is fastened to the cue, without injury to the leather or the cue, and is actually centered with the cueg 3d, b this press cues may be leathered instant y without injury to the cue.
