NURSING BOTTLE HOLDER Filed Aug. 3, 1946 INYENTOR. flariefl. fisher.
I flTTORNEY.
Patented Mar. 22, 1949 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE 4 Claims.
This invention relates to a nursing bottle holder, whereby a nursing bottle may be held in a position convenient for the infant.
An object of my invention is to provide a novel nursing bottle holder, which is pleasing in appearance, which is sanitary, in that various parts thereof can be readily washed when necessary.
Another object of my invention is to provide a novel nursing bottle holder which can be quickly and easily rolled into position for actual use with the nursing bottle.
A feature of my invention resides in the construction of my nursing bottle holder, whereby the device can be left in a fiat position when not in use, thus making it easy to transport or pack.
Another feature of my invention is to provide a novel nursing bottle holder, which can be easily adjusted as to height when in operative position, this adjustable action to height being quickly and easily accomplished, due to the hollow rectangular construction of the device when in use.
Still another feature of my invention is to provide a novel nursing bottle holder which is soft and has no metallic parts which might injure the child.
Other objects, advantages and features of invention may appear from the accompanying drawing, the subjoined detailed description and the appended claims.
In the drawing Figure 1 is a plan view of the padding.
Figure 2 is a side view of the same.
Figure 3 is a plan View of the slip cover.
Figure 4 is an end View of my holder in operative position.
Referring more particularly to the drawing, the numeral l indicates a padding strip which consists of a plurality of sections or segments 2. A seam 3 between the sections 2 permits these sections to bend or fold along the seam, while the padding section 2 remains comparatively rigid, as will be further described.
A slip cover 4, made preferably of a suitable washable material is open at least on one end to receive the padding l. A plurality of ties 5 are attached to each end of the cover lfor the purpose of assembling or holding the padding and cover in the usable position, shown in Figure 4.
A band 6 is stitched to the top of the cover 4 and a section thereof is loose to form a loop 1. The nursing bottle 8 is slipped under the loop I,
' thus holding the nursing bottle securely in position, and at the proper height, so that the child, can use the same. In use, the ties 5 are tied together as shown in Figure 4. The padding I will bend or fold along the seams 3, thus forming a substantially rectangular structure, having sides 9.
The padding strip I is filled with a soft m'aterial such as cotton or the like, and this is sufficiently resilient so that it will tend to retain its position. However, when the holder is assembled as shown in Figure 4, the bottle can be pushed downwardly, if necessary; or if it is desired to raise the bottle, the sides of the rectangular structure can be pushed inwardly, and the holder will tend to retain this position.
If the cover 4 should become soiled, it can be easily removed and washed.
If it is necessary to elevate the bottle, that is, if the upper section of the rectangular holder is to be pushed upwardly, some suitable object, such as a towel, can be pushed into the open center of the hollow.
Having described my invention, I claim:
1. A nursing bottle holder, comprising a cover, padding in the cover, and fastening means at each end of said cover, whereby the ends are secured to form a closed self supporting figure, a loop on one side of said cover, said loop being adapted and arranged to receive a nursing bottle.
2. A nursing bottle holder, comprising a slip cover, padding removably mounted in the slip cover, said padding comprising a plurality of sections and ties on each end of said slip cover, whereby the ends are secured to form a closed self-supporting figure, each of said sections forming a side of the figure, and means on the slip cover to hold a nursing bottle.
3. A nursing bottle holder, comprising a slip cover, padding removably mounted in the slip cover, said padding comprising a plurality of sections and ties on each end of said slip cover, and a loop on one side of said cover, said loop being adapted and arranged to receive and retain a nursing bottle.
4. A nursing bottle holder comprising a slip cover, padding removably mounted in the slip cover, said padding comprising a plurality of sections, each of said sections forming one side of a substantially rectangular figure when the holder is closed, ties on each end of said slip cover, and a loop on one side of said cover, said loop being adapted and arranged to receive and retain a nursing bottle.
