From the foregoing it will be seen that I have provided a curler of a simple construction, one

that is light in weight, and one which will readily serve its intended purpose.

While-I prefer to make the curler, especially the curler tube; of plastic composition it may I be made of any other suitable material, as for example, compressed paper.

If desired one end of the tie member may be permanently secured to the curler tube by cementing the same in place or by securing it in any other approved way.

Other ramifications than those above mentioned can be made without departing from the spirit of the invention and within the scope of the said U-shaped structures forming therewith a series of longitudinally disposed tubular members open at their ends.

2. A curler proper which comprises a longitu- I dinally corrugated tube, and a tie member anchored over the endsof said tube, and a key having a longitudinally corrugated body whose corrugations conform to and fit those of said tube to slidably fit into the said tube and a head on one end of said body.

A curler proper comprising a longitudinally corrugated tube having alternately disposed peaks and valleys, the tube in its valleys being notched at its ends, and a key having a longitudinally corrugated body whose corrugations conform to and fit those of said tube to slidably fit into the said tube and a head on one end of said body.

4. A curler proper which comprises a longitudinally corrugated tube, and a tie member anchored over the ends of said tube, and a key having a longitudinally corrugated body to slidably fit into the said tube and a head on one end of said body, said head conforming in shape to the cross section of said tube and forming an extension of the same.

5. A curler proper comprising a longitudinally corrugated tube having alternately disposed peaks and valleys, the tube in its valleys being notched at its ends, and a key having a longitudinally corrugated body to slidably fit into the said tube and a head on one end of said body, said head conforming in shape to the cross section of said tube and forming on extension of the same.

6. A curler proper which comprises a longitudinally corrugated tube, and a tie member anchored over the ends of said tube, and a key having a longitudinally corrugatedbody to slidably fit into the said tube and a head on one end of said body, said head conforming in shape to the cross section of said tube, said head on its outer edge being notched.

7. A curler proper which comprises a thin tube of plastic, the wall of which is corrugated to provide a plurality of longitudinal ,U-shaped-incross-section peaks and valleys, the side portions ofeach peak being substantially parallel, thereby providing outwardly diverging walls for the valleys, and a member fitting within said tube, the outer surface of which member is longitudinally grooved to fit the valley portions of said tube, and including portions projecting into the peak corrugations of said tube to form therewith parallel tubular structures open only at each end of the curler, and a tie member engaging the ends of said tubularmember and lying in a valley of the same for holding hair in the said valley.
