The letter or enclosure 24 is provided with the name and address of the sender, as at 26, and so arranged as to be visible through the opening l2. The name and address of the addressee is also printed on the enclosurajas at 28, to be visible through the opening l2. Thus I eliminate the necessity of printing the return address on the en: velope, which name andaddress may be so arranged on the statement or letterhead as to be readable through the opening I2. Without ,further elaboration, the foregoing will so fully illustrate my invention, that others may, by applying current knowledge, readily adapt the same for use under various conditions of service.

I claim: An envelope having a wall provided with an opening extending and a transparent sheet extending across said opening and secured to said wall, said wall being perforated along two edges of said transparent sheet and'up to said end, said transparent sheet overlapping edge margins of said one wall adjacent said opening, said one wall and said transparent sheet being detached from the envelope at said one end throughout the space between the perforations at the two edges of the transparent sheet.
