COMPOSITION FOR FLAVORING CIGARS.
SPECIFICATION formingpart of Letters Patent No. 231,682, dated August 31, 1880. Application filed July 6, 1880. (Specimens) To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, HENRY K. REISS, a citizen of the United States, residing at Greenville, in the county of Mercer and State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Com position of Matter to be used for the Flavoring of Cigars, of which the following is a specification.
Myk composition consists of the following ingredients, combined in the proportions stated, viz: New England rum, one (1) gallon; alcohol, one (1) gallon; oil of apple, one-quarter (i) pound; tonka-bean, one-half (5) pound; Valerian-root, one-half(}-) pound; laudanum, one-quarter (i) pound. These ingredients are placed in a common stone jug. Thejug should then be tightly corked and placed in a Warm place and left so for a month. It is then fit for use.
