Abstract

The invention discloses a structural arrangement, which includes a rectangular steel frame consisting of I-beams and having a base structure, a top structure, the top structure being supported above the base structure by means of vertical pillar members; the base structure consisting of steel tubes; and the top structure consisting of steel tubes.

Description

    FIELD OF INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a structural arrangement. More particularly, the present invention relates to a structural arrangement for constructing buildings such as housing.
  • BACKGROUND TO INVENTION
  • Various structural building methods and arrangements are used in the market of which some require steel, metal, glass, concrete and wood.
  • It is an object of the invention to suggest a novel structural arrangement.
  • SUMMARY OF INVENTION
  • According to the invention, a structural arrangement, includes
      • (a) A substantially rectangular steel frame consisting of I-beams and having a base structure and a top structure, the top structure being supported above the base structure by means of vertical pillar members;
      • (b) the base structure consisting of steel tubes; and
      • (c) the top structure consisting of steel tubes.
  • Also according to the invention, a building construction, includes
      • (a) a substantially rectangular steel frame consisting of I-beams and having a base structure and a top structure, the top structure being supported above the base structure by means of vertical pillar members; and
      • (b) the base structure consisting of steel tubes; and
      • (c) the top structure consisting of steel tubes.
  • The base structure may form the floor.
  • The top structure may form the roof.
  • The structural arrangement may be used for pre-fabricated structures.
  • The I-beams may be 120 or 180 mm I-beams.
  • The beams may be welded and/or bolted together.
  • The steel tubes may be 80×80 mm steel tube.
  • The structural arrangement may be in the form of a cube.
  • A number of structural arrangements may be positioned next to each and/or on top of each other or to be positioned adjacently to or superimposed on a similar arrangement.
  • The structural arrangement may be converted and completed into and/or as a part of a housing or building by way of known building and construction methods and equipment.
  • The structural arrangement may include walls.
  • The walls may be made from drywalls, concrete, Magnaboards™, bricks, MDF boards or any other suitable material.
  • The base structure may be sturdy to enable the structural arrangement and/or the cubes to be transported by truck.
  • The structural arrangement may enable a building or housing project to expand and/or grow as required or needed.
  • The base structure may be supported on concrete foundation blocks.
  • The base structure may be located about 60-70 cm above ground.
  • The concrete foundation blocks may be located at the corners of the base structure.
  • The structural arrangement may enable the construction of a one level building or house and installation of a second level thereon within a single day.
  • Services such as electricity cables and/or water pipes may be located within the beams and/or tubes.
  • A completed cube may weigh between 1 to 1.8 tons.
  • The structural arrangement and/or cube may be removable.
  • The structural arrangement and/or cube may be removable located on the concrete foundation blocks.
  • The walls may be slotted into steel tubes along the sides of the structural arrangement.
  • The I-beams may be IPE-beams.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
  • Referring to the Figures, structural arrangements in accordance with the invention, generally indicated by reference numeral 10, is shown.
  • The structural arrangement 10, includes
      • (a) a rectangular steel frame consisting of I-beams and having a base structure, a top structure, the top structure being supported above the base structure by means of vertical pillar members;
      • (b) the base structure consisting of steel tubes; and
      • (c) the top structure consisting of steel tubes.
  • The base structure forms the floor.
  • The top structure forms the roof.
  • The structural arrangement can be used for pre-fabricated structures.
  • The I-beams are 120 or 180 mm I-beams.
  • The beams are welded and/or bolted together.
  • The steel tubes are 80×80 mm steel tube.
  • The structural arrangement can be in the form of a cube.
  • A number of structural arrangements can be positioned next to each and/or on top of each other.
  • The structural arrangement can be converted and completed in to and/or part of a housing or building by known building and construction methods and equipment.
  • The structural arrangement includes walls.
  • The walls can be made from drywalls, concrete, Magnaboards™, bricks, MDF boards or any other suitable material.
  • The base structure is sturdy to enable the structural arrangement and/or the cubes to be transported by truck.
  • The structural arrangement enables building or housing projects to expand and/or grow as required or needed. In a practical example, a couple starting their lives can have a one bed room house. As they need more rooms we can produce them in factory and install it in one day in the house. The only simple work that it will have on site are the simple foundations and any pipe work that can be needed for swage and water.
  • The base structure can be supported on concrete foundation blocks. The concrete foundation blocks can be located at the corners of the base structure.
  • The structural arrangement enables to construct a one level building or house and install a second level thereon within a single day.
  • Services such as electricity cables and water pipes are located within the beams and tubes.
  • A completed cube weighs between 1 to 1.8 tons.
  • The structural arrangement and/or cube are removable.
  • The structural arrangement and cube are removably located on the concrete foundation blocks.
  • The walls can be slotted into steel tubes along the sides of the structural arrangement.
  • The I-Beams may be IPE beams.

Claims (23)

1. A structural arrangement, which includes
(a) a rectangular steel frame consisting of I-beams and having a base structure, a top structure, the top structure being supported above the base structure by means of vertical pillar members;
(b) the base structure consisting of steel tubes and the base structure for in a floor; and
(c) the top structure consisting of steel tubes and the top structure forming a roof, wherein the structural arrangement is adapted for use in pre-fabricated structures.

5. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, in which the I-beams are 120 or 180 mm I-beams.
6. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, in which the I-beams are welded and/or bolted together.
7. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, in which the steel tubes are 80×80 mm steel tube.
8. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, which is in the form of a cube.
9. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, which is adapted to be positioned adjacently to or superimposed on a similar arrangement.
10. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, which is adapted to be converted and completed into and/or as a part of a housing or building by way of known building and construction methods and equipment.
11. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, which includes walls.
12. The arrangement as claimed in claim 11, in which the walls are made from drywalls, concrete, MAGNABOARDS™, bricks, MDF boards and/or any other suitable material.
13. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, in which the base structure is sufficiently sturdy to enable the structural arrangement to be transported by truck.
14. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, which is adapted to expand and/or grow as required or needed for constructing a building.
15. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, in which the base structure is adapted to be supported on concrete foundation blocks.
16. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, in which the base structure is adapted to be located about 60-70 cm above ground.
17. The arrangement as claimed in claim 15, in which the concrete foundation blocks are located at corners of the base structure.
18. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, in which adapted to enable the construction of a one level building or house and installation of a second level thereon within a single day.

20. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, which when completed weighs between 1 to 1.8 tons.
21. The arrangement as claimed in claim 1, which is adapted to be removable.
22. The arrangement as claimed in claim 15, which is removably located on the concrete foundation blocks.
23. The arrangement as claimed in claim 11, in which the walls are slotted into steel tubes along the sides of the structural arrangement.
24. A building construction, which includes
(a) a rectangular steel frame consisting of I-beams and having a base structure, a top structure, the top structure being supported above the base structure by means of vertical pillar members; and
(b) the base structure consisting of steel tubes; and
(c) the top structure consisting of steel tubes.
