Abstract

This invention relates to a grinding tool, and more particularly, it relates to a diamond grinding disc adapted for grinding. The diamond grinding disc is connected to a grinder via a post to be available for grinding a workpiece. The diamond grinding disc comprises a grinding layer, a transition laver, a back layer, wherein the post is a screw structure upwardly extended from the back layer, wherein the back layer is connected to the transition layer to form integration. The design, setting the back layer and the transition layer as an integrated part and applying soft material on the back layer, solves the problem that the back layer and the transition layer are easily disconnected from each other and prolongs the service life of the grinding disc.

Description

    TECHNICAL FIELD
  • This invention relates to a grinding tool, and more particularly, relates to a diamond grinding disc adapted for grinding.
  • BACKGROUND
  • FIG. 1 shows a diamond grinding disc comprising a back layer 301 and a transition layer 20 connected to back layer 301 by adhesives. Due to the inherent vice of the adhesive, back layer 301 can be easily breaking away from transition layer 20 in the high temperature and vibration environment during grinding. In addition, a rigid construction is formed between back layer 301 and transition layer 20 which is not soft and is not suitable to grind workpiece with curved corner.
  • Moreover, a diameter of back layer 301 is less than that of transition layer 20, which causes the glued contact area between back layer 301 and transition layer 20 to be very small. As a result, back layer 301 and transition layer 20 can be break off easily in the contact area.
  • As described above, back layer 301 and transition layer 20 fail to firmly connect to each other, which seriously affects the service life of the grinding disc. Besides, the scope of application of the grinding disc is narrowed due to its rigid construction.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • To solve the above problems, this invention provides a technical solution to firmly connect the back layer to the transition layer, which prolongs the service life of the grinding disc. Additionally, the back layer is made of soft material such that the grinding disc can have a better softness and can be more widely used.
  • A diamond grinding disc comprises a post located on its top surface, and the diamond grinding disc is connected to a grinder via the post to achieve the grinding on workpiece. The diamond grinding disc further comprises a grinding layer, a transition layer, a back layer made of soft material, wherein said post is a screw structure extended upwardly from the back layer, wherein the back layer and the transition layer are an integrated structure.
  • Furthermore, the integrated structure is formed by hot pressing the back layer and the transition layer. Wherein the transition layer is a sheet body made of thermal insulating material, as a result, the back layer can be prevented from disconnecting from the transition layer even in the condition of the longtime use and bad heat dissipation, thereby the service life of the diamond grinding disc can be increased.
  • Furthermore, the transition layer is made of cloth.
  • Furthermore, the back layer covers the transition layer completely, such that a surface of transition layer adjacent to the back layer is completely enclosed by the back layer. As a result, the back layer and the transition layer can stay connected even if a large shear force is applied thereon during the high speed rotating of the diamond grinding disc. This advantage further prolongs the service life of the diamond grinding disc.
  • Furthermore, the transition layer can be any shape and any size as long as the back layer can completely cover the whole transition layer.
  • Furthermore, the transition layer is connected to the grinding layer by adhesive.
  • The advantages of this invention are as follows:
  • In this invention, the back layer and transition layer are an integrated structure, and the back layer has the same area as the transition layer and the back layer is soft. Thus, the back layer and the transition layer can be connected more firmly, and not easy to be disconnected, and prolong the service life of the grinding disc. At the same time, the grinding disc with softness can be used to grind workpiece with curved corner or other complicated workpiece, which enlarges the scope of application for the grinding disc.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is the schematic diagram of a reference.
  • FIG. 2 is the schematic diagram of this invention.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • Hereinafter this invention is detailed described in conjunction with the drawings.
  • Embodiment: referring to FIG. 2, a diamond grinding disc comprising post 32 located on its top surface, and the diamond grinding disc is connected to a grinder via post 32 to achieve the grinding on workpiece. The diamond grinding disc further comprises grinding layer 1, transition layer 2, back layer 31, wherein the post 32 is a screw structure extended upwardly from back layer 31, wherein the back layer 31 and transition layer 2 form an integrated structure. The back layer is made of soft material, and transition layer 2 is connected to grinding layer 1 via adhesive.
  • Referring to FIG. 2, the post 32 comprises a threaded section. The diamond grinding disc is connected to a nut structure of the grinder via post 32 to grinding the workpiece.
  • Referring to FIG. 2, the back layer 31 is connected to transition layer 2 to form integration by hot pressing. Wherein transition layer 2 is a sheet body made of thermal insulating material, such that the back layer 31 is protected from disconnecting from the transition layer 2 even in the condition of longtime use and bad heat dissipation, as a result, the service life of the diamond grinding disc is prolonged. Preferably, the transition layer 2 is made of cloth.
  • Referring to FIG. 2, back layer 31 has the same area as transition layer 2 so that a surface of transition layer 2 adjacent to back layer 31 can be completely covered by back layer 31, as a result, back layer 31 and transition layer 2 can stay connected even if a large shear force is applied thereon during the high speed rotating of the diamond grinding disc. This advantage further prolongs the service life of the diamond grinding disc. The transition layer 2 can be any shape and any size as long as transition layer 2 can be completely covered by back layer 31.
  • It is to be understood that the above embodiment has been provided only by way of a preferable exemplification of this invention, which cannot be considered as the limited scope of this invention. Namely, further modification and improvements thereto are deemed to fall within the broad scope and ambit of the present invention described herein.
