Abstract

A package may include a first side having a first receiving space; and a second side with a second receiving space. The first receiving space and the second receiving space are separated by a separation layer, so a first object disposed in the first receiving space does not interfere with a second object disposed on the second receiving space, and wherein the second receiving space also includes a second separation layer to further assure that the second object in the second receiving space does not interfere with the first object in the first receiving space. In one embodiment, the first object is a facial mask and the second object is a heating material. In another embodiment, the first object is a facial mask and the second object is a coolant.

Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • The present invention relates to a package, and more particularly to a package for a cosmetic facial mask.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • For decades, facial masks become more and more popular because of their versatility and ability to be customized with various skin treatments to meet a variety of skin health and beauty needs for each individual person. Currently, each facial mask is usually enclosed in a specific package in which the temperature is similar to the temperature outside the package. In other words, the temperature of the facial mask is close to the outside temperature.
  • It is inconvenient under such circumstances because in summer, the user may want to use a cooler facial mask, and the user may have to put the facial mask (with the package) in the refrigerator before using it. On the other hand, during wintertime, the user may need a warmer facial mask and the user may put it into hot water for a few minutes before using it.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 8,372,130 to Young discloses a temperature controlled cosmetic treatment facial mask with area-specific treatments, as shown in FIG. 1. More particularly, the mask may include a self-heating or cooling substrate to provide temperature control to the facial mask and each mask may include heating areas, cooling areas, or both. The temperature of the mask is controlled by a computer system by analyzing the user's skin and the treatment the user may be needed. However, this mask is not designed for the user to carry in his/her own purse because the entire system is too bulky. The user may have to use this system in a treatment center or hospital. Furthermore, Young discloses a mask with wires inside that may generate heat when the electrical current passes through. Even though the heat can be controlled by the computer system, safety is still an very important issue when the user needs to put this wired mask on his/her face.
  • U.S. Pat. Pub. No.: 2013/0007945 to Krondahl discloses a heated face having wires inside of the mask. When the user turns heat setting of the mask, the mask is heated. The heated facial mask covers the face in such a way that the soft cloth touches the forehead, cheeks, and heats up around the eyes. Like Young, there are wires inside the mask and when electrical current passes through the wires to generate heat, safety of the mask becomes an important concern because the user has to put the mask on his/her face. Therefore, there remains a need for a new and improved package for facial mask that can overcome the problems illustrated above.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • It is an object of the present invention to provide a package for cosmetic facial mask that can be heated or cooled in the package before being used.
  • It is another object of the present invention to provide a package for cosmetic facial mask that is portable, clean, safe and easy to use.
  • It is a further object of the present invention to provide a package for cosmetic facial mask, wherein the facial mask is in one space of the package, and the coolant or heating material is in the other space thereof, so the facial mask can be cooled or heated without any contamination.
  • In one aspect, a package for a cosmetic facial mask may include a first side having a first receiving space and a second side with a second receiving space. The first receiving space and the second receiving space are separated by a separation layer, so an object disposed in the first receiving space does not interfere with the other object disposed on the second receiving space. The second receiving space also includes a second separation layer to assure that the object in the second receiving space will not interfere with the object in the first receiving space. The first receiving space and the second receiving space are both sealed on the top and bottom portion.
  • In one embodiment, a heating material is disposed in the second receiving space to generate an exothermic reaction to heat up the facial mask in the first receiving space. In another embodiment, the coolant is disposed in the second receiving space to generate an endothermic reaction to cool down the facial mask in the first receiving space. In a further embodiment, the exothermic or endothermic reaction can be triggered when the user applies some pressure on the second side of the package. In an exemplary embodiment, the heating material and the coolant are completely contained and sealed in the second receiving space to avoid contamination.

  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • The detailed description set forth below is intended as a description of the presently exemplary device provided in accordance with aspects of the present invention and is not intended to represent the only forms in which the present invention may be prepared or utilized. It is to be understood, rather, that the same or equivalent functions and components may be accomplished by different embodiments that are also intended to be encompassed within the spirit and scope of the invention.
  • Unless defined otherwise, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood to one of ordinary skill in the art to which this invention belongs. Although any methods, devices and materials similar or equivalent to those described can be used in the practice or testing of the invention, the exemplary methods, devices and materials are now described.
  • All publications mentioned are incorporated by reference for the purpose of describing and disclosing, for example, the designs and methodologies that are described in the publications that might be used in connection with the presently described invention. The publications listed or discussed above, below and throughout the text are provided solely for their disclosure prior to the filing date of the present application. Nothing herein is to be construed as an admission that the inventors are not entitled to antedate such disclosure by virtue of prior invention.
  • Referring to FIGS. 2 and 2 a, a package 200 for a cosmetic facial mask may include a first side 210 having a first receiving space 212 and a second side 220 with a second receiving space 222. The first receiving space 212 and the second receiving space 222 are separated by a separation layer 230, so an object disposed in the first receiving space 212 does not interfere with the other object disposed on the second receiving space 222. The second receiving space 222 also includes a second separation layer 240 to assure that the object in the second receiving space 222 will not interfere with the object in the first receiving space 212. The first receiving space 212 and the second receiving space 222 are both sealed on the top and bottom portion as shown in FIG. 2.
  • When in use, a facial mask can be disposed in the first receiving space 212, while a heating material is disposed in the second receiving space 222. In one embodiment, the heating material can be exothermic compositions that may be sensitive to external pressure. When the user applies some pressure on the heating material in the second receiving space 222, an exothermic chemical reaction begins to elevate the temperature in the second receiving space 222. The heat can be diffused through the separation layer 230 to heat the facial mask in the first receiving space 212. After a few minutes, the user can open the package 200 through a designated opening 250 to take out the heated facial mask, which is particularly useful during wintertime.
  • On the other hand, the user may want to use a cooler facial mask during summer time. Similarly, a facial mask can be disposed in the first receiving space 212, while a coolant can be disposed in the second receiving space 222. In an exemplary embodiment, the coolant can also be pressure sensitive. When the user applies some pressure on the coolant in the second receiving space 222, an endothermic chemical reaction begins to lower the temperature in the second receiving space 222, as well as the facial mask in the first receiving space 212.
  • It is noted that even though there may be chemical reactions in the second receiving space 222, the chemical reagents will not leak out therefrom to contaminate the facial mask in the first receiving space 212 because the facial mask is completely isolated from the chemicals through a separation layer 230 and a second separation layer 240. Therefore, the facial mask in the first receiving space 212 can either be heated or cooled without the concerns of contamination or safety. Furthermore, the facial mask can be heated or cooled without using wires inside the mask, so the user does not have to worry about the safety of the facial mask.

Claims (8)

What is claimed is:
1. A package comprising:
a first side having a first receiving space; and
a second side with a second receiving space,
wherein the first receiving space and the second receiving space are separated by a separation layer, so a first object disposed in the first receiving space does not interfere with a second object disposed on the second receiving space, and wherein the second receiving space also includes a second separation layer to further assure that the second object in the second receiving space does not interfere with the first object in the first receiving space.
2. A package for a cosmetic facial mask comprising:
a first side having a first receiving space; and
a second side with a second receiving space,
wherein the first receiving space and the second receiving space are separated by a separation layer, so a first object disposed in the first receiving space does not interfere with a second object disposed on the second receiving space, and wherein the second receiving space also includes a second separation layer to further assure that the second object in the second receiving space does not interfere with the first object in the first receiving space.
3. The package for a cosmetic facial mask of claim 2, wherein the first object is a facial mask and the second object is a heating material.
4. The package for a cosmetic facial mask of claim 3, wherein an exothermic reaction is generated from the heating material to elevate the temperature in the second receiving space as well as the first receiving space to heat up the facial mask.
5. The package for a cosmetic facial mask of claim 2, wherein the first object is a facial mask and the second object is a coolant.
6. The package for a cosmetic facial mask of claim 5, wherein an endothermic reaction is generated from the coolant to lower the temperature in the second receiving space as well as the facial mask in the first receiving space.
7. The package for a cosmetic facial mask of claim 3, wherein the heating material is pressure sensitive.
8. The package for a cosmetic facial mask of claim 5, wherein the coolant is pressure sensitive.
