Abstract

A working boots includes an upper having a front portion and a rear portion, a sole having a toe portion corresponding to the front portion, a heel portion corresponding to the rear portion of the upper and a protection plate extending upright from the heel portion and surrounding an outer periphery of the heel portion and a seam securely sandwiched between the upper and the sole via stitches and surrounding an outer periphery of the front portion of the upper.

Description

    CROSS-REFERENCE TO RELATED APPLICATION
  • This application claims priority from application No. 101200050, filed on Jan. 2, 2012 in the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the invention
  • The present invention is related to a pair of working boots, and more particularly to a pair of working boots having no inner sole and a midsole securely attached to the sole and the upper of the working boots by stitches and a heel protection plate extending upright from the heel portion of the sole.
  • 2. Description of Related Art
  • With reference to FIG. 1, the conventional working boot 1 is composed of an upper 10, a sole 11, an inner sole 12 and a seam 13. The seam 13 is integrally extending outward from a periphery of the upper 10. The inner sole 12 is securely connected to the upper 10 by stitches through the seam 13.
  • Thereafter, the inner sole 12 is connected to the sole 11 by glue applying to a side face of the inner sole 12 or the sole 11.
  • With this kind of structure, it is predictable that not before long, the inner sole 12 will peel off from the engagement with the sole 11 due to worn of the glue. Furthermore, because the seam 13 surrounds the entire periphery of the upper 10, extra unnecessary weight is added to the boot, which cause the boot to break more easily. What's more is that a protection plate might be added to the front portion of the upper 10 to protect the worker's toes, and this extra weight shortens the lifespan of the working boot.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The primary objective of the present invention is to provide a pair of lightweight, durable working boots.
  • Another objective of the present invention is to have a working boot having a seam extending only a portion of the front portion of the sole and a protection plate extending upright from the heel portion to increase protection for the user's heel.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a conventional working boot;
  • FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the working boot of the present invention; and
  • FIG. 3 is an exploded perspective view of the working boot shown in FIG. 2.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
  • With reference to FIGS. 2, and 3, it is noted that the working boots 2 constructed in accordance with the present invention includes an upper 20, a seam 21 and a sole 22.
  • The upper 20 is composed of a front portion 200 and a rear portion 201. The sole 22 is composed of a toe portion 220 corresponding to the front portion 200 of the upper 20 and a heel portion 221 corresponding to the rear portion 201 of the upper 20. Furthermore, a protection plate 222 is formed on the heel portion 221 and the protection plate 222 surrounds an outer periphery of the heel portion 221.
  • The seam 21 is securely sandwiched between the upper 20 and the sole 22 by stitches. It is noted that after the upper 20, the seam 21 and the sole 22 are securely combined via stitches, the seam 21 only surrounds an outer periphery of the front portion 200 of the upper 20 and each of two ends of the seam 21 meets with different end of the protection plate 222.
  • The sole 22 has a slip-proof element formed on a bottom face thereof.
  • In one embodiment, the slip-proof element includes multiple protrusions extending from a bottom face of the sole 22. In a different embodiment, the slip-proof element includes multiple concaves defined in the bottom face thereof. In still a different embodiment of the present invention, the sole 22 is made of a water-proof material.
  • While the invention has been described in connection with what is considered the most practical and preferred embodiment, it is understood that this invention is not limited to the disclosed embodiment but is intended to cover various arrangements included within the spirit and scope of the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and equivalent arrangements.
