- 1. Field of the Invention
- The present invention relates to a rotary bed which can be directed toward the position of the sun, and in particular the bed is directed toward the position of the sun by rotational means.
- 2. Description of the Related Art
- Generally a bed, which helps achieve a sound sleep and rest, is made up of an upper plate, an installed mattress and a pedestal that is made to stably support the upper plate. Also, in some cultures, the bed usually positions a head of a user toward the east when the bed is installed. While some users prefer their head be toward the east, others prefer their head not be toward the east.
- Many users are different, and frequently set the direction of their head by fate relative to their date of birth and oriental thoughts of the five elements related to a physical feature.
- The oriental concept of five elements is based on metal, wood, water, fire and earth, and it is desired to keep these elements in balance. Everything, including humans, must have a relationship with these five elements. They are even applied to years, months, days, hours, minutes and seconds of an oriental calender. Now, people are able to know their five-element weights from their date and time of birth.
- The direction of their head is set by the position of the sun in accordance with the fate relative to their date of birth and a magnetic field. That is, the fate relative to the date of birth, a magnetic field produced around the earth and physical energy flow, that is kind of magnetic field following through the body, influence the direction the head is positioned.
- If the positioning of a person's head is moderately set according to the position of the sun in accordance with their date of birth and the earth's magnetic field sleep may become the most comfortable and restful for them. If the bed's size is so huge and heavy that once it is installed in the room it cannot be repositioned, restful sleep may be hard to achieve.
- Accordingly, present invention has been developed to solve the above mentioned problem of having to sleep in a bed having a fixed position once installed in a room.
- In order to achieve the foregoing and/or other aspects of the present invention, the present invention provides a rotary bed which can be directed toward a desired position. The rotary bed comprises a bed including a bed frame and a pedestal upon which the bed frame is mounted; and a rotary unit rotating the bed one complete revolution in twenty-four hours.
- The rotary unit comprises a user control for setting an initial position with respect to a position of the sun; a rotational control responsive to the user control for controlling bed rotation; and a motor and decelerator for rotating the bed in a desired direction and speed.
- The rotary bed may further comprise a rotational plate, the pedestal being positioned on the rotation plate, the rotational plate being rotated by the rotary unit. Additionally, at least one set of tracks are embedded in the floor such that the rotation plate rotates on the set of tracks.
- The rotary unit may be mounted within the pedestal such that the bed frame is rotated by the rotary unit. Additionally, the rotary bed my further comprise at least one set of tracks embedded in the pedestal, the bed being rotated on the set of tracks.
- The rotary bed may further comprise a direction indicator on the bed, the direction indicator indicating the rotation position of the bed. The direction indicator may comprise a compass.
- In other words, the present invention is installed rotational means at revolution per 24 hour in accordance with the position of the sun.
- Therefore, the present invention provides a sound sleep, as a user installs a rotary bed which can be directed toward the position of the sun, so the user can sleep in accordance with the position of the sun.
