Description

    FIELD OF THE INVENTION
  • This invention relates to Pai-Gow poker, Caribbean Stud and Texas Hold'm; More specifically, this invention is a new betting system that gives patrons more options to spread their bets on designated wagering spot. The traditional Chinese Pai Gow playing method requires players set the cards into two groups and win both groups in order to win the game; players place a blind bet before the five cards are dealt. Caribbean Stud retains the traditional five cards poker hand for player betting on the odds based on a payout chart and play the five cards hand against to house dealer's five cards hand or fold the hand; the house dealer's five cards has to meet a qualification, contains at least an ace and a king, in order to compare the five cards with player's five cards. Texas Hold'm draw poker allows players peek their own two cards, three community cards called flop, one community card called tune, then decide to continue play the game or not. Three Kings Poker is five cards poker game has all three features above.
  • BACKGROUND OF THE RELATED ART
  • Pai gow poker is played with a standard deck of 52 cards plus a joker. The dealer deals out seven hands of seven cards each. The players have the right to be the banker position, and the first hand deal to the player or dealer is depending upon the result of a random number generator, such as dice or an electronic device. The remaining of the hands is placed in the remainder of the player and banker positions in a clockwise direction. The player then arranges his or her seven cards into two hands, a two-card hand and a five-card hand, based on traditional poker ranking system where the five-card hand must be ranked higher than the two-card hand.
  • thus, the highest two-card hand is a pair of aces, and the highest five-card hand is five aces (the four aces and joker). After all players have arranged their hands, the banker turns his cards over and arranges them according to a fixed set of rules known as the “house way.” The player's five-card hand is compared to the banker's five-card hand and the player's two-card hand is compared to the banker's two-card hand. If there is an exact match between the five-card or two-card hands, called a copy, the tie goes to the banker. If the player wins one five-card hand or two-card hand and loses the other, a “push” results and no money exchanges hands. If the player wins both the five-card and two-card hands, she is paid even money, less a commission of typically 5%. If the player loses both the five-card and two-card hands, she loses the money wagered.
  • Pai Gow tiles is played with a set of 32 tiles. The dealer arranged 32 tiles to eight stacks of four tiles. The first stack is placed in a player or banker position depending upon the result of a dice roll. The remaining of the stacks is placed in the remainder of the player and banker positions in a clockwise direction. The player then arranges her four tiles into two pairs and places them face down with the higher-ranked pair placed horizontally and the lower-ranked pair placed vertically. Rankings are determined from a table of all possible combinations of two tiles. After all players have arranged their tiles, the banker arranges his tiles according to a fixed set of rules known as the “house way.”
  • The player's high pair is compared to the banker's high pair and the player's low pair is compared to the banker's pair. If there is an exact match between the high pair or low pair of player and banker, the situation is called a copy or tie. When tie is happen, the winning goes to the banker. If the player wins one pair and loses the other pair, a “push” resulted. If the player wins both pairs, she is paid even money, less a commission of typically 5%. If the player loses both pairs, she loses the money wagered.
  • Both Pai Gow poker and Pai Gow tiles do not provide patrons the optional wagering spot and choice of fold their hand or continue to play.
  • Sklansky U.S. Pat. No. 5,382,025 discloses a modification of Texas Holdem whereby players do not compete against one another and whereby players have the opportunity to select their two card hand from a plurality of hands dealt face-down.
  • U.S. Pat. No. 4,836,553 and U.S. Pat. No. 4,861,041 (both to Jones et al) disclosed variations which are collectively referred to as Caribbean Stud. In the preferred method of play described in the '553 patent, the game commences with each player placing a preliminary bet (“ante”) at a designated location on a table layout. The house dealer deals five cards to each player and to himself, all face down except for one card in the hand of the dealer. Having viewed his hand and assessed the chances, each player can elect to retire from the round at that point (to “fold”) in which event the player forfeits his amount of the ante to the house. The alternative is for the player to make an additional bet—typically prescribed by house rules to be double the amount originally anted—whereupon the dealer reveals his entire hand. Provided that the dealer's hand has a poker value of at least Ace-King, the game progresses with the dealer comparing his hand to that of each pair and paying or collecting bets as appropriate. Poker hands of two pair or better are rewarded by payment of better than even odds on such hand of a winning player.
  • In another variation of five-card stud poker for casino play, disclosed in U.S. Pat. No. 5,901,858 (Andrews), it is carried out with one or more “royal” decks of twenty cards each—namely the 10's and face cards of each suit. Only three cards are dealt face down to each player and only two to the house dealer. One of the dealer's cards is displayed as a face-up community card for consideration by each player for use as the fourth card of the player's ultimate five-card poker hand. Having viewed his three cards and the community card, each player has the option of either standing on the “bet” wager which he initially placed on the game table or, if optimistic, placing a second (equivalent) “additional” wager on the “play” position and turning the three cards of the hand face up. The dealer then turns up the second of dealer's two cards as a second community card. The negative five-card poker hand of all players is evaluated and payouts are made according to a payout table.
  • The above poker games gave players more options to use as strategy.
