Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • The present invention relates generally to infant and toddler child care devices, and more particularly to portable toddler potty seat for young children.
  • 2. Description of the Related Art
  • A plethora of toilet-training devices exists in the marketplace. More specifically, toilet-training devices heretofore devised and utilized for the purpose of facilitating the potty training of children are known to have a variety of structural configurations, yet there remains a void of options when it comes to storage of toiletry supplies on these devices.
  • What is needed is a portable toddler potty seat that substantially departs from the conventional concepts and designs of related art devices, and in doing so provides a place for a young child to relieve him/herself away from plumbed toilets while at the same time providing the caregiver easy access to hygiene supplies to clean up behind the child when the child is finished with waste expulsion activities.
  • Thus, a portable toddler potty seat solving the aforementioned problems is desired.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • The portable toddler potty seat comprises a lightweight potty seat/chair on wheels with a retractable handle. This allows the potty seat to be easily mobile in the house, a vehicle, the park, or any other locations a toddler travels. The seat also includes a removable case pivotally attached to the back of the potty seat in which to store items necessary for a complete bathroom experience, such as wipes, plastic bags, hand sanitizer, first aid kit, etc. The pivotally attached case can be removed and placed in the passenger area of a vehicle, if desired, while the potty seat is placed in the rear of the vehicle.
  • These and other features of the present invention will become readily apparent upon further review of the following specification and drawings.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the portable toddler potty seat in travel ready configuration according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 2 is a front perspective view of the portable toddler potty seat showing the front storage flap open according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 3 is a rear perspective view of the portable toddler potty seat showing the rear storage flap open according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the portable toddler potty seat in a bowl ready configuration according to the present invention.
  • FIG. 5 is a side perspective view of the frame and tank showing the divot-pin engagement structure to make the tank pivotally removable according to the present invention.
  • Similar reference characters denote corresponding features consistently throughout the attached drawings.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • As shown in FIG. 1, the present invention comprises a wheeled lightweight portable toddler potty seat 10 with a retractable/telescoping handle 15. The seat 10 also includes a removable storage container 20 pivotally attached to the back of potty seat frame 30 in which to store items necessary for a complete bathroom experience, such as wipes, plastic bags, hand sanitizer, first aid kit, or the like. The pivotally attached container 20 can be removed and placed in the passenger area of a vehicle, if desired, while the potty seat is placed in the rear of the vehicle. Side handles 62 may be disposed on frame 30, extending upward from the frame.
  • As shown in FIGS. 1-4, the frame 30, defines a rear portion and a seat portion. A toilet bowl 40 having an open upper end and a closed lower end is attached to the frame under the seat portion. Wheels 50 are disposed on a rear portion of the bowl 40, the wheels facilitating easy transport of the device 10.
  • A lid 60 is disposed above the seat portion, the lid being pivotally coupled to the frame 30.
  • The container 20 is removably pivotally attached to the rear portion of frame 30, the container 20 refillably containing a quantity of baby hygiene supplies accessible to a user. As shown in FIG. 5, a rear portion of frame 30 has laterally opposed inner sidewalls that each include a divot channel 500, the divot channel 500 removably and pivotally engaging tabs of container 20. A grab handle 25 is disposed on front portion of container 20. A hinged cover 24 a is disposed over rear internal compartments 22 a and 22 b of container 20. Contents of the rear internal compartments may be held in place via two of a plurality of bungee style straps 24 c. Hinged cover 24 b is disposed over front internal compartments 23 a, 23 b and 23 c of container 20. Contents of the front internal compartments may be held in place via three of the bungee style straps 24 c.
  • It is to be understood that the present invention is not limited to the embodiment described above, but encompasses any and all embodiments within the scope of the following claims.
