Abstract

A cooler bag is disclosed to include a bag body, which has an outer plastic shell, a waterproof inner plastic shell, a sponge layer stuffed in between the outer plastic shell and the waterproof inner plastic shell, a tin foil thermal isolation layer set in between the sponge layer and the waterproof inner plastic shell, two shoulder straps fastened to the outer plastic shell at two opposite sides by which the cooler bag is carried on a person's shoulder, and a top cover panel hinged thereto and openably sealed with a zip fastener, and a storage bag, which is fixedly fastened to the bag body for keeping things and provided with speakers and an earphone plug cable for the connection of a mobile music player for voice output.

Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

1. Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to a bag and more particularly, to a cooler bag, which can be carried on the user's shoulder to keep things cool.
2. Description of the Related Art
Modern people do care much about travel and recreational activities. When going outside for a recreational activity, people usually will carry beverage, ice creams, and many other low-temperature food products. For keeping beverage, ice creams and low-temperature food products cool, a cooler box may be used. However, conventional cooler boxes for this purpose are commonly heavy, not suitable for carrying by a person for a long period. Further, regular bags that are used for carrying things on the shoulder do not provide temperature-keeping or waterproof function.
Therefore, it is desirable to provide a cooler bag that eliminates the aforesaid drawbacks.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The present invention has been accomplished under the circumstances in view. It is the main object of the present invention to provide a cooler bag, which is waterproof and can be carried on a person's shoulder comfortably for a long period to keep things cool. It is another object of the present invention to provide a cooler bag, which is provided with speakers for voice output from a mobile music player stored therein. To achieve these and other objects of the present invention, the cooler bag is comprised of a bag body and a storage bag fastened to the outside wall of the bag body. The bag body comprises an outer plastic shell, a waterproof inner plastic shell, a sponge layer stuffed in between the outer plastic shell and the waterproof inner plastic shell, a tin foil thermal isolation layer set in between the sponge layer and the waterproof inner plastic shell, two shoulder straps fastened to the outer plastic shell at two opposite sides by which the cooler bag is carried on a person's shoulder, and a top cover panel hinged thereto and openably sealed with a zip fastener. The storage bag is provided with speakers and an earphone plug cable for the connection of a mobile music player for voice output.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT

Referring to FIGS. 1-3, a cooler bag in accordance with the present invention is shown comprised of a bag body 1 and a storage bag 2.
The bag body 1 comprises an outer plastic shell 11, a waterproof inner plastic shell 14, a sponge layer 12 stuffed in between the outer plastic shell 11 and the waterproof inner plastic shell 14, a tin foil thermal isolation layer 13 set in between the sponge layer 12 and the waterproof inner plastic shell 14, two shoulder straps 10 fastened to the outer plastic shell 11 at two opposite sides by which the cooler bag can be carried on the user's shoulder, and a top cover panel 16 hinged thereto and openably sealed with a zip fastener 15. The top cover panel 16 has an opening 19, a lid 18 hinged to one side of the opening 19 and adapted to close the opening 19, and hook and loop materials 17 for securing the lid 18 in the close position. When the zip fastener 15 is fastened up to close top cover panel 16, the user can open the lid 18 and access to the inside space of the bag body 1 through the opening 19. The storage bag 2 is fixedly fastened to the bag body 1 for keeping things. Further, the storage bag 2 is provided with two speakers 20 and an earphone plug cable 21 for the connection of a mobile music player, for example MP3 player 22 for voice output from the MP3 player 22 through the speakers 20 via the earphone plug cable 21.
When in use, the user can unfasten the zip fastener 15 to open the top cover panel 16, and then put cooler bags, ice cubes, food products, etc. in the bag body 1, and then fasten up the zip fastener 15 to close the top cover panel 16. Further, a MP3 player 22 or the like can be received in the storage bag 2 and electrically connected with its earphone jack to the earphone plug cable 21. By means of the shoulder straps 10, the user can carry the cooler bag on the shoulder. The tin foil thermal isolation layer 13 prohibits dispersion of low temperature. The waterproof inner plastic shell 14 prevents a leakage of water. Therefore, the enclosed inside space of the bag body 1 is kept cool, and the low temperature or condensed water in the bag body 1 does not affect the speakers 20 or storage items in the storage bag 2.
A prototype of cooler bag has been constructed with the features of FIGS. 1˜3. The cooler bag functions smoothly to provide all the features discussed earlier.
Although a particular embodiment of the invention has been described in detail for purposes of illustration, various modifications and enhancements may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Accordingly, the invention is not to be limited except as by the appended claims.

Claims

1. A cooler bag comprising:

a bag body defining therein an enclosed storage space, said bag body comprising an outer plastic shell, a waterproof inner plastic shell, a sponge layer stuffed in between said outer plastic shell and said waterproof inner plastic shell, a tin foil thermal isolation layer set in between said sponge layer and said waterproof inner plastic shell, two shoulder straps fastened to said outer plastic shell at two opposite sides by which the cooler bag is carried on a person's shoulder, and a top cover panel hinged thereto and openably sealed with a zip fastener; and

a storage bag fixedly fastened to said bag body for keeping things. It is also provided with speaker means and an earphone plug cable for the connection of a mobile music player for voice output.

2. The cooler bag as claimed in claim 1, wherein said top cover panel of said bag body has an opening in communication with said enclosed storage space, a lid hinged to one side of said opening and adapted to close said opening.
