- This proposal represents a kit of devices providing fitness ergonomic utilities for people operating with usage of office furniture. The proposal relates to office tables, desks, chairs utilities contributing to health protection and self fitness for operators at their working places, during their working time, while performing their office duties. The proposal also relates to and deals with isometric body postures, static natural fitness exercises, ergonomic requirements to office furniture. The present proposal uses various cultures of human health, especially, posture - changing in all-day operations with limited body motions.
- The physical and mental states of a all-day working office operators require some effective periodic and systemic body-spirit exercises. The best of them are those which could be provided while operating work duties. Our proposal offers a developed kit of devices connected to the modified or already existing regular office furniture,and allows the operator to be in good physical and mental shape all the working day long, and all the time in general. The devices proposed actually convert the office working time into a fitness gaining time simultaneously with good positive effects to operators health, spirit, general state, and operators work.
- The subject matter of the present proposal comprises:
-
- a combined adjustable device with mobile, easily controlled, turning slewing up and down torso-shield which is a direct chest-support and simultaneously is an actual indirect spine relief and a major posture changer for the entire operators torso including shoulders and arms; said torso shield is connected to the office desk or table;
- combined and adjustable chair devices with two, left and right shin rest—supporters, and a cross-hinged working chair.
- Said structures provide various and multiple operators body isometric positions for periodic and systemic posture changing according operators self feeling and ergonomic requirements thus exercising the entire body with most groups of muscles and supporting own shape, mood, spirit, and general fitness during operating time.
- Many of conventional and new solutions related to office tables, desks, and chairs are described in classes 108, 297, D06 of the USA patent classification.
- Said regular solutions, being traditional improvements, don't help office operators to avoid:
- a) Some stagnation elements in body circulation systems,
- b) Disbalancing negative effects of all-day sedentary office work,
- c) Physical and emotional discomfort affecting direct work duties.
- Any direct prior arts, which propose combined usage of office tables, desks, chairs for various operators' self healing posture changing and fitness obtaining during work operations and including needed devices for said ergonomic health caring purposes, were not found.
- The objects, general solutions, and substance of this proposal are:
- a. Improving the physical and mental fitness of the office operators by providing better ergonomic conditions for their few moving bodies during their work with wide opportunities of isometric, natural, and personal exercises which are allotted by operators furniture additional devices and utilities;
- b. Providing fitness-devices as important parts of office furniture including the most used units like tables, desks, chairs;
- c. To counteract the;,- negative effects that fixed positions and sedentary office work have on operators bodies, spirit and health;
- d. Developing easily controlled and comfortable devices for natural, systemic, and periodic changing operators working postures in accordance to body hygiene requirements and mental state;
- e. Developing said devices primarily for operator's chest, arms, shoulders, spine relief, legs, feet with maximum positive exercising effects on operators entire body mood and spirit, work climate in general,
- f. Improving operators internal circulations, mental alertness, reducing muscle tensions;
- g. Making operators work easier, more productive, and feeling better.
- The present proposal offers:
-
- A combined table shield-device for direct operators torso supporting and indirect effective spine relief;
- A combined chair-structure including left and right shin supporters for bowed legs and a cross-hinged sit for spine posture side-bending-changings in any direction.
- All said utilities are developed and provided by devices which can be built-in with furniture units and/or separated as additional subunits to the already existing, prior produced furniture.
- All said devices, as important auxiliaries to the office tables, desks, chairs, provide wide opportunities especially for PC-operators allowing them to keep their fitness, shape, mood, spirit and health with ergonomic, natural, isometric body-posture-changing exercises during the work in body-comfort personal manner.
- The physical and mental shape of any office operator is keeping by possibilities of natural, easy fulfilled static postures-exercises, which are periodically changing. The regular office work becomes more effective because of simultaneous high comfortable and such needed calm isometric fitness-exercises for entire operators body, spirit, and health in general.
- The office furniture with utilities proposed becomes a kit of effective fitness-stands in the most important for operators health working conditions, bringing real contributions to the operators shape, spirit, mood and work.
- The drawings are schematic, scaleless, and simplified for better clarity of solutions developed. In the drawings closely related units and elements have the same number but different alphabetic suffixes. Numbers of views and sections correspond to the numbers of figures where shown.
