Abstract

The invention consists of one six-sided die that has different words on each side. These words are: BET, FOLD, ALL IN, CALL, CHECK and RAISE. Five of the sides have 1 word each and one of the sides has 2 words, which are ALL IN. The die is a cube and each side of the die is of equal size. The die is used to give any poker player an option as to what to do when it is their turn. The die can be rolled freely from the hand, rolled from a cup or put into another device, which allows the die to be tossed around and then read. It is designed as a novelty item for entertainment and no assertions are made as to the value of the rolled outcome in relationship to the cards that are being played.

Description

    BACKGROUND
  • There are a wide range of Poker Dice that have been patented in the past. They deal mainly with duplicating the numbers, pictures and suits from a card playing deck onto the dice. The Poker Player Options Die does not deal with this aspect of poker. It is used only after the player has received their cards and is now faced with a decision as to what to do next. The Poker Player Options Die, which is a novelty item, may be rolled when it is the poker player's turn.
  • SUMMARY
  • During the regular play of a poker game (i.e. Texas Hold'em, Stud, Omaha), standard playing cards are dealt to all of the players and then each player takes a turn deciding what their next move will be with the cards they received. When it is their turn the player will be faced with several options. Six of these options include: BET, FOLD, ALL IN, CALL, CHECK and RAISE. When the dealer is ready for the players turn, the player acts with one of these options.
  • As a form of entertainment, the player can roll the Poker Player Option Die and either follow what the die shows or makes his or her own choice as to how to play their cards. There are no rules as to how, when or where to use the die. It is designed as a novelty item for entertainment and no assertions are made as to the value of the rolled outcome in relationship to the cards that are being played. The poker player will play their cards the way they want and will not rely on the outcome from rolling the Poker Player Option Die.
