Abstract
A pressure control device for a paintball gun incorporated with a gun body, a pressure pipe, a high-pressure tank includes a pressure switch connected to a connecting block of the gun body. The pressure switch comprises a block having an inhaling hole and an exhaling hole at respective ends. The inhaling hole of the block is connected with one end of the pressure pipe. The other end of the pressure pipe is connected with the high-pressure tank. The pressure switch is sleeved with a sliding block. The sliding block has a circular ring along its inner wall to guide the inhaling hole and the exhaling hole of the block. When rotating a ring of the pressure switch, the sliding block will move relative to the ring to block the high-pressure air from passing through. Thus, the paintball gun is protected from triggering accidentally to hurt people.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention relates to a pressure control device for a paintball gun, and more particularly to one that has a pressure switch to stop high-pressure air from passing through and to prevent the gun from shooting accidentally to hurt innocent people.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- A high-pressure transmitting system of a conventional paintball gun is to have a sleeve A2 connected with a connecting block A1 of a paintball gun A, as shown in
FIG. 5 . The ring A2 is connected with one end of a pressure pipe A3. The other end of the pressure pipe A3 is connected with a high-pressure tank A4. The high-pressure air in the high-pressure tank A4 passes through the pressure pipe A3, the sleeve A2, the connecting block A1 and into the paintball gun A for firing a paintball. However, this design allows the high-pressure air to pass into the gun directly without any safety measure to protect the gun from firing accidentally. - The inventor has derived the present invention to provide a safety paintball gun.
- It is the primary advantage of the present invention to provide a pressure control device for a paintball gun, which is safe to operate.
- It is another advantage of the present invention to provide a pressure control device for a paintball gun, which is easy to operate.
-
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention; -
FIG. 2 is a side view of a paintball gun incorporated with the present invention, partially sectioned; -
FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention showing high-pressure air passing through a pressure switch; -
FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention showing a sliding block blocking the high-pressure air; and -
FIG. 5 is a side view of a conventional paintball gun, partially sectioned. - As shown in
FIGS. 1 and 2 , the present invention mainly comprises apressure switch 2 incorporated with agun body 1, apressure pipe 3 and a high-pressure tank 4. - The
gun body 1 has a connectingblock 11 with a threadedinhaling hole 12 therein, and atrigger 13. - The
pressure switch 2 is secured to theinhaling hole 12 of the connectingblock 11. Ablock 21 is provided in thepressure switch 2. Theblock 21 comprises anair inhaling hole 22 and anair exhaling hole 23 at respective ends. Thepressure switch 2 is sleeved with a slidingblock 24. Thesliding block 24 comprises acircular trough 25 along its inner wall. Thecircular trough 25 interconnects with theinhaling hole 22 and theexhaling hole 23 of theblock 21. The slidingblock 24 is sealed by a pair ofwashers inhaling hole 22, thecircular trough 25, and theexhaling hole 23. The slidingblock 24 comprises threads around its outer surface for threaded connection with aring 28 thereat. Thering 28 comprises anair releasing hole 29. - The
pressure pipe 3 has asleeve 31 at one end to be connected to theinhaling hole 22 of thepressure switch 2, while the other end of thepressure pipe 3 is connected with the high-pressure tank 4. - To operate the present invention, as shown in
FIG. 3 , the high-pressure air from the high-pressure tank 4 passes through thepressure pipe 3, thesleeve 31 and into theinhaling hole 22 of thepressure switch 2. The air in theinhaling hole 22 passes through thecircular trough 25 of thesliding block 24 and expels from theexhaling hole 23 of thepressure block 2. The air passes through theinhaling hole 12 of the connectingblock 11 and into thegun body 1 for shooting. - To avoid pulling the
trigger 13 of the gun accidentally, as shown inFIG. 4 , due to the fact that thering 28 is coupled with thesliding block 24 and is confined in between the connectingblock 11 of thegun body 1 and thesleeve 31 of thepressure pipe 3, when thering 28 of thepressure switch 2 is rotated, the slidingblock 24 will be linked to move downward. Thecircular trough 25 of thesliding block 24 detaches from theexhaling hole 23 of theblock 21 of thepressure switch 2, thus the high-pressure air will no longer be guided into theinhaling hole 22 and theexhaling hole 23 simultaneously and blocked by thesliding block 24. The high-pressure air remains in theinhaling hole 12 of the connectingblock 11 is released from theair releasing hole 29 of thering 28. This prevents the remaining high-pressure air from being triggered to hurt innocent people. - When it is desired to shoot the gun, the
ring 28 is rotated in an opposite direction, so that thesliding block 24 moves upward and thecircular trough 25 guides the high-pressure air to pass through theinhaling hole 22 and theexhaling hole 23. The high-pressure air can be passed again and thetrigger 13 may be pulled to shoot.
