Abstract

A pressure control device for a paintball gun incorporated with a gun body, a pressure pipe, a high-pressure tank includes a pressure switch connected to a connecting block of the gun body. The pressure switch comprises a block having an inhaling hole and an exhaling hole at respective ends. The inhaling hole of the block is connected with one end of the pressure pipe. The other end of the pressure pipe is connected with the high-pressure tank. The pressure switch is sleeved with a sliding block. The sliding block has a circular ring along its inner wall to guide the inhaling hole and the exhaling hole of the block. When rotating a ring of the pressure switch, the sliding block will move relative to the ring to block the high-pressure air from passing through. Thus, the paintball gun is protected from triggering accidentally to hurt people.

Description

    BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
  • 1. Field of the Invention
  • This invention relates to a pressure control device for a paintball gun, and more particularly to one that has a pressure switch to stop high-pressure air from passing through and to prevent the gun from shooting accidentally to hurt innocent people.
  • 2. Description of the Prior Art
  • A high-pressure transmitting system of a conventional paintball gun is to have a sleeve A2 connected with a connecting block A1 of a paintball gun A, as shown in FIG. 5. The ring A2 is connected with one end of a pressure pipe A3. The other end of the pressure pipe A3 is connected with a high-pressure tank A4. The high-pressure air in the high-pressure tank A4 passes through the pressure pipe A3, the sleeve A2, the connecting block A1 and into the paintball gun A for firing a paintball. However, this design allows the high-pressure air to pass into the gun directly without any safety measure to protect the gun from firing accidentally.
  • The inventor has derived the present invention to provide a safety paintball gun.
  • SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
  • It is the primary advantage of the present invention to provide a pressure control device for a paintball gun, which is safe to operate.
  • It is another advantage of the present invention to provide a pressure control device for a paintball gun, which is easy to operate.
  • BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
  • FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention;
  • FIG. 2 is a side view of a paintball gun incorporated with the present invention, partially sectioned;
  • FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention showing high-pressure air passing through a pressure switch;
  • FIG. 4 is a cross-sectional view of the present invention showing a sliding block blocking the high-pressure air; and
  • FIG. 5 is a side view of a conventional paintball gun, partially sectioned.
  • DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
  • As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the present invention mainly comprises a pressure switch 2 incorporated with a gun body 1, a pressure pipe 3 and a high-pressure tank 4.
  • The gun body 1 has a connecting block 11 with a threaded inhaling hole 12 therein, and a trigger 13.
  • The pressure switch 2 is secured to the inhaling hole 12 of the connecting block 11. A block 21 is provided in the pressure switch 2. The block 21 comprises an air inhaling hole 22 and an air exhaling hole 23 at respective ends. The pressure switch 2 is sleeved with a sliding block 24. The sliding block 24 comprises a circular trough 25 along its inner wall. The circular trough 25 interconnects with the inhaling hole 22 and the exhaling hole 23 of the block 21. The sliding block 24 is sealed by a pair of washers 26 and 27 at respective ends in order to prevent high-pressure air from leakage when it passes through the inhaling hole 22, the circular trough 25, and the exhaling hole 23. The sliding block 24 comprises threads around its outer surface for threaded connection with a ring 28 thereat. The ring 28 comprises an air releasing hole 29.
  • The pressure pipe 3 has a sleeve 31 at one end to be connected to the inhaling hole 22 of the pressure switch 2, while the other end of the pressure pipe 3 is connected with the high-pressure tank 4.
  • To operate the present invention, as shown in FIG. 3, the high-pressure air from the high-pressure tank 4 passes through the pressure pipe 3, the sleeve 31 and into the inhaling hole 22 of the pressure switch 2. The air in the inhaling hole 22 passes through the circular trough 25 of the sliding block 24 and expels from the exhaling hole 23 of the pressure block 2. The air passes through the inhaling hole 12 of the connecting block 11 and into the gun body 1 for shooting.
  • To avoid pulling the trigger 13 of the gun accidentally, as shown in FIG. 4, due to the fact that the ring 28 is coupled with the sliding block 24 and is confined in between the connecting block 11 of the gun body 1 and the sleeve 31 of the pressure pipe 3, when the ring 28 of the pressure switch 2 is rotated, the sliding block 24 will be linked to move downward. The circular trough 25 of the sliding block 24 detaches from the exhaling hole 23 of the block 21 of the pressure switch 2, thus the high-pressure air will no longer be guided into the inhaling hole 22 and the exhaling hole 23 simultaneously and blocked by the sliding block 24. The high-pressure air remains in the inhaling hole 12 of the connecting block 11 is released from the air releasing hole 29 of the ring 28. This prevents the remaining high-pressure air from being triggered to hurt innocent people.
  • When it is desired to shoot the gun, the ring 28 is rotated in an opposite direction, so that the sliding block 24 moves upward and the circular trough 25 guides the high-pressure air to pass through the inhaling hole 22 and the exhaling hole 23. The high-pressure air can be passed again and the trigger 13 may be pulled to shoot.
