Abstract
An ornamental design and a portable appliance that has been specifically designed to remove Bird droppings from all transportation vehicles and surfaces on land and sea. The device is a multi purpose and battery driven portable BIRD DROPPING removal system “BDR”. This is a hand held device that embraces a “DC” Direct Current powered, A Low Torque motor, driving several gears and then right angled rotating disks that holds a disposable sponge disk pad that is uniquely saturated with a cleaning liquid solution. The rotating saturated disk is specifically designed to wipe clean hardened bird droppings that are deposited on surfaces by removing the bird droppings in a quick time as not to smear the bird dropping on its surface. Even though the surfaces are exposed to the sun and intense heat the Bird dropping remover will separate the bird dropping from the surface without damage to the paint or other surface material. The removal is achieved in part, by utilizing the optimum low speed and low torque rotating mechanism, and at the optimum torque, along with the saturated sponge disk solution.
Description
- An ornamental design, low torque and a portable appliance, that has a specific application of being a BDR and multi purpose battery driven portable cleaning system. This hand held device that embraces a “DC” Direct Current powered motor driving several gears and then right angled rotating disks that hold a disposable saturated sponge disk pad.
- The “BDR” utilizes a spring-loaded push button on/off control in either the right or left hand. Also utilizing an “AC” to “DC” portable power source and/or, a “DC” Direct Current cigarette lighter charger power source to charge the internal rechargeable batteries. The operation includes on/off switching in combinations with a comfortable handle centered to the rotating cleaning disk, which has the effect of optimal and balanced pressure on the automobile surface which in turn allows for quick and easy removal of bird droppings.
- The device is not considered a polisher, or similar device due to the low torque of the motor design that the BDR utilizes, with reduced speed, and rotation by increased pressure applied by the individual utilizing it. This Low Torque effect serves to ensure the car or vehicle surface and other surfaces are not damaged or harmed whilst removing those tough bird droppings.
- Special features include a uniquely designed and detachable bristle brush on the front for ease of scraping and loosening tough bird droppings. This bristle is specifically designed so as to not scratch or harm the vehicle surface and other surfaces.
- Specially designed to fit in small compartments.
- The design offers the advantage of replaceable bristle brush on the front, and specially designed pre-wetted sponges that simply stick on the rotating disk with a fabric adhesive circular disk. Once the wetted sponges are used then they are removed easily and disposed of.
- A unique and portable sealed package of optimally saturated replacement-wetted pads are supplied with the unit. These pads are Fabric adhesive circular disks on one side and sponge material on the other and are pre-soaked in a cleaning solution to keep them optimally saturated until usage. Then sealed in a plastic type container.
- Internal design consists of a different voltage batteries depending on the final product size. Several options are offered at, 4.5 volts, 6.0 volts, 7.2 volts and 9.6 volts.
- As opposed to other devices on the market, this particular cleaning device utilizes a low torque spinning sponge that is optimally pre-wetted to ensure the tough bird droppings can be cleaned and removed. Not utilizing bristles or a polisher as the spinning element ensures that the bird droppings are not spread, but removed and lifted from the surface and absorbed into the wetted sponge.
- The handheld device offers low to medium speed for lightweight handling and minimal vibration.
- It is well known of course, the existence of small appliances such as multiple heads on a spinning axis or polisher or electric toothbrushes. While such appliances are in widespread use, the invention herein is novel and different, in that it offers a low torque, optimally saturated wetted sponge, and mechanism to allow for tough removal automatically of bird droppings on sensitive surfaces like automobiles whilst not damaging the surface. The present invention seeks to integrate the rotating aspects and sponges creating a low torque friction that maximizes the ability to remove the bird droppings whilst not damaging paint, glass or other surfaces.
- The invention relates to a portable device having a single rotating sponge disk centered to the device, such wetted and saturated rotating sponge then has the effect of cleaning surfaces with Bird Droppings on it. The low torque motor has the effect of not harming automobiles surfaces even when hot and out in the sun. The invention was created by the constant need of removing bird droppings from areas where birds tend to live, around beaches, harbors, train stations, ect.
- The various figures supplied
FIG. 1-7 show the aspects of the design and structure. - It is accordingly the first objective of the invention to provide portable cleaning for in particular Bird Droppings that are on automobiles, watercraft, or other vehicles. The device having one rotating mid section utilizing a specially wetted sponges that is Fabric adhesive circular disk to the main spinning unit. The use of standard and available individual parts and the specially wetted pads offer a cleaning device that suits itself to the specific use of removing bird droppings from water and land vehicles surfaces.
- Several prototypes of the invention have been built and tested and has proved to function in the way describe herein. After experimenting the optimum design is attached.
FIG. 7 is a picture of the final prototype device. The prototype device has been tested in many weather conditions and with different motor vehicle types to achieve the optimum low torque performance. This low torque performance is key to successfully removing all bird droppings. -
