Abstract
A forgery prevention structure for CD containers includes a window provided on a surface of a CD container and having a plurality of equidistant elongated projections thereby forming a light gate, a sheet of paper with a pattern which is composed of a plurality of transverse lines which match with the projections of the light gate, whereby one can see different lines of the pattern through the light gate from different angles, which resembles a motion picture or variation of the pattern by moving the CD container.
Description
- 1. Field of the Invention
- This invention is related to a forgery prevention structure for CD containers, and in particular to one which can enable the consumer to distinguish whether the goods are genuine or not.
- 2. Description of the Prior Art
- Recently, with the progress in science and technology, the techniques of forging goods has improved, and it is very difficult to distinguish between genuine and forged goods, thereby causing much damage to the manufacturer, and devaluing the benefit for consumers. This is especially true of the forgery of CDs, which is very popular, and seems impossible to prevent. The commonly used way for preventing the forging of CD containers are bar codes, laser labels, or other special marks for the consumer to distinguish. However these methods can be easily imitated by the forger, and therefore it is an object of the present invention to provide a forgery prevention structure for CD containers which enables the consumer to distinguish easily whether the CD is genuine or not.
- It is the primary object of the present invention to provide a forgery prevention structure for CD containers, which can enable the consumer to distinguish whether the goods are genuine or not.
- According to a preferred embodiment, a forgery prevention structure for CD containers includes a window provided on a surface of a CD container and having a plurality of equidistant elongated projections thereby forming a light gate, a sheet of paper with a pattern which is composed of a plurality of transverse lines which match with the projections of the light gate, whereby one can see different lines of the pattern through the light gate from different angles, which resembles a motion picture or variation of the pattern by moving the CD container.
- The foregoing object and summary provide only a brief introduction to the present invention. To fully appreciate these and other objects of the present invention as well as the invention itself, all of which will become apparent to those skilled in the art, the following detailed description of the invention and the claims should be read in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. Throughout the specification and drawings identical reference numerals refer to identical or similar parts.
- Many other advantages and features of the present invention will become manifest to those versed in the art upon making reference to the detailed description and the accompanying sheets of drawings in which a preferred structural embodiment incorporating the principles of the present invention is shown by way of illustrative example.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the present invention;
- FIG. 2 is an exploded view of the present invention;
- FIG. 3 is side view of the light gate;
- FIGS. 4 and 5 show the working principle of the present invention; and
- FIGS. 6 and 7 illustrate other preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- The following descriptions are of exemplary embodiments only, and are not intended to limit the scope, applicability or configuration of the invention in any way. Rather, the following description provides a convenient illustration for implementing exemplary embodiments of the invention. Various changes to the described embodiments may be made in the function and arrangement of the elements described without departing from the scope of the invention as set forth in the appended claims.
- With reference to FIGS. 1, 2, and3, the
CD container 1 according to the present invention is formed with awindow 11 on which there is alight gate 11 which has a plurality of equidistant elongated projections. There is a sheet ofpaper 2 with apattern 21. Thepattern 21 is composed of a plurality of transverse lines which match with the projections of thelight gate 12. Hence, from different angles we can see different lines of the pattern through theline gate 12, which resembles a motion picture or variation of the pattern by moving the CD container. - The projection of the
light gate 12 can be of different angles, and thepattern 21 may be changed with thelight gate 12. Thepattern 2 is printed on a special paper, so that when it is torn off, it will be damaged, and so it is impossible to copy thepattern 2. - Referring to FIGS. 4 and 5, when the consumer buys a CD, it is only necessary for him/her to rotate the CD container to distinguish whether it is genuine or not, as the
light gate 12 is rotated to an angle by means of the association of thelight gate 12 and thepattern 21, a motion picture or variation of the pattern will be shown, thereby making it easy to distinguish whether the goods are genuine or not. - Referring to FIGS. 6 and 7, the present invention can be also applied to
business cards 3, credit cards 4, withwindows - In conclusion, the present invention at least has the following advantages:
- 1. The specially designed light gate is difficult to imitate, and is very costly to manufacture. Even if the forger makes the CD container according to the present invention, it is still very difficult to measure the angle of the light gate, thus making it impossible to manufacture the same CD containers.
- 2. The pattern will be damaged when it is peeled off. It is impossible for the imitator to copy the pattern.
- It will be understood that each of the elements described above, or two or more together may also find a useful application in other types of methods differing from the type described above.
- While certain novel features of this invention have been shown and described and are pointed out in the annexed claim, it is not intended to be limited to the details above, since it will be understood that various omissions, modifications, substitutions and changes in the forms and details of the device illustrated and in its operation can be made by those skilled in the art without departing in any way from the spirit of the present invention.
Claims (3)
