Abstract
An office desk includes two U-shaped frames and a top is supported on the two horizontal portions of the two frames. Each frame has two legs extending from the horizontal portion thereof. Two bars are respectively connected between two distal ends of the two legs.
Description

Although such structure can be firmly support the top and the modern office appliances on the top, the whole desk is bulky and is less of fashion. - In accordance with one aspect of the present invention, there is provided an office desk which comprises two U-shaped frames each having a horizontal portion and two legs extending from the horizontal portion. A top is supported on the two horizontal portions of the two frames, and two bars are respectively connected between two distal ends of the two legs.
- The primary object of the present invention is to provide an office desk wherein the top is supported on two U-shaped frames.
- The present invention will become more obvious from the following description when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings which show, for purposes of illustration only, a preferred embodiment in accordance with the present invention.
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view to show a conventional office desk;
- FIG. 2 is a perspective view to show an office desk of the present invention;
- FIG. 3 is an exploded view to show the office desk of the present invention;
- FIG. 4 is a side view to show the office desk of the present invention, and FIG. 5 illustrates the two side members each have apertures defined therethrough.
- Referring to FIGS.2 to 4, the office desk of the present invention comprises two
U-shaped frames 10 each having ahorizontal portion 12 and twolegs 120 extending from thehorizontal portion 12. Atop 11 is supported on the twohorizontal portions 12 of the twoframes 10. Eachleg 120 has a threadedrecess 121 defined in a distal end thereof and twobars 13 are respectively connected between the two distal ends of the twolegs 120 by extending bolts through thebars 13 and engaged with the threadedrecesses 121. - Two
connection members 13 each have twopassages 131 defined therethrough so that the twolegs 120 extend through the twopassages 131 in each of the twoconnection members 13. Each of theconnection members 13 has a plurality ofapertures 132 for ventilation purposes. Twopads 15 are connected to each of the twobars 14 so that thebars 13 are located higher than the ground to avoid moisture. - A
document tray 17 and akeyboard tray 16 are conveniently connected to theframes 10 by extending bolts through theframes 10 and engaged with the posts of thedocument tray 17 and the rails of thekeyboard tray 16. - The
top 11 is supported on thehorizontal portions 12 of the twoU-shaped frames 10 and eachframe 10 has twolegs 120 so that thelegs 120 have better structural strength than the connection between the conventional top and legs. - While we have shown and described the embodiment in accordance with the present invention, it should be clear to those skilled in the art that further embodiments may be made without departing from the scope of the present invention.
