JEROME O. MILLARD, OF PULTNEYVILLE, NEW YORK.
IMPROVEMENT IN MEDICINE-CASES.
Specification Torming part of Letters Patent No. 191,607, dated June 5, 1877; application filed April 30,1877.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, JEROME G. MILLARD, of Pultneyville, county of Wayne, and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Medicine-Case, of which the following is a specification:
Figure 1 is a plauview of my improved medicine-case with the cover opened. Fig. 2 is a transverse section.
Similar letters of reference indicate corre' sponding parts.
The object of my invention is to provide a convenient and compact case for the use of physicians for carrying remedies.
In the drawing, A is a box, of suitable dimensions, having a middle partition, 13, and covers a at each side, that are hinged at b to the body of the box. The space on one side of the partition is divided longitudinally by a partition, 0, and the space at one side of this partition is subdivided into smaller spaces for receiving bottles d by the partitions e, the space at the outer side being filled with small vials f, placed in removable pockets 9.
Upon the side of the partition B, opposite the partition 0, a number of pockets, h, are formed for receiving the vials i, and a tray,j, having pockets k for receiving vials, is fitted to the box above or outside of the pockets h.
The entire interior surface of the box and covers'is covered with felt, velvet, or other soft or yielding material.
The handle 0 ot'the box consists of an oblong ring, which is pivoted in cars l that are attached to the box by means of screws.
The case is arranged to accommodate vials of different sizes, and is constructed so that every compartment may be readily opened. The whole forms a compact and convenient case for containing a number of remedies.
In withdrawing all claim upon the lock in the present application, I desire to reserve the right to fllc a new application on said lock, and do hereby signify such intention, making it a matter of record in the case.
Having thus fully described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent A box having a middle partition, B, and two covers, a, the partitions c and 0, pockets h, and tray j, having the pockets 7:, all constructed and arranged substantially as shown and described.
JEROME CARPENTER MILLARD.
