The present invention relates to a soliciting sheet, such as a letter, advertisement, bill or some other written instrument soliciting a .reply or answer. An object of the invention is to provide in connection with the soliciting sheet a return envelope preferably with the name and address of the sender of the soliciting sheet and preferably forming an integral part of such soliciting sheet. A

further object of the invention is to utilize the envelope attached to a solicited sheet as.

an answer or reply form to the matter contained on the sollciting sheet. A still further object of the invention is to associate with such return envelope a duplicate answer or reply forni which may be retained by the recipient of the soliciting sheet as a copy or record of the answer or reply embodied in the return envelope.

To these and other ends, the invention consists of certain parts and combinations of parts, all of which will be hereinafter described, the novel features being pointed out in the appended claims.

Fig. 4 is a' face view of the soliciting sheet illustrating the manner of folding the soliciting sheet and envelope; and

Fig. 5 shows the soliciting sheet ready for mailing.

Referring more particularly to the illustrated embodiment of the invention, 1 indicates the main body of the soliciting sheet which, in this instance, has printed thereon the name and address of the sender of the sheet as at 2 and also has printed typewritten or otherwise inscribed a letter, statement of account, bill, advertisement or any other matter which solicits a reply or an answer.

15 Associated with this soliciting sheet'is an envelope which, in this instance, is formedin one piece with the sheet preferably having a top or sealing flap 4 connected thereto by weakened portions, such as a line of perfora- O tions 5, and lying above the lower edge 6 of the sheet and to one side of such sheet. This Hap is provided with glue or other adhesive at 7 and connects with the front wall 8 of the envelope through a fold line 9. Side flaps 10 lie on oppsite sides of the front wall 8 55 and connect with the latter through folds 11, while a bottom flap 12 connects with a front -wall 8 through a fold 13. These aps 10 and 12 are adhesively secured together at 14 and are of such size that the greater portion of the rear face of the front wall of the envelope is exposed when the top Hap 4 is open. This makes it possible to utilize the top Hap of the envelope as well as the rear face of the front wall for an answer or reply form 15 which 65 will contain any suitable matter and is related to the subject matter contained on the soliciting. sheet, having a portion 15l of the reply printed thereon and blankspaces 15b fill in suitable matter such as a date, his or her name, Vaddress and (or) any other suitable matter depending upon each individual case.

Alsoassociated with the soliciting sheetis a duplicate answer or reply form 16, which, in this instance, is secured by a row of perforations v17 or other weakened portions'to the free edge of the bottom Hap 12 and contains matter 16a in duplicate of that contained 80 on the answerform 15. This duplicate answer form when the envelope is folded lies directly over and matches or coincides with the matter on the main answer form 15 so that a piece of carbon paper may be placed between the two forms and both answer forms made out simultaneously. The recipient 4 tears off the duplicate answer form and maintains it as his record and also tears off the envelope with the main answer form from 9o the soliciting sheet and forwards such envelope to the party sendin the soliciting sheet. The front face of thefqront wall ofthe envelope has the name and address 8 thereon of the one sending the soliciting sheet and this name and address is inverted on the envelope so that, when the envelope is in the position illustrated in Fig. 4, the name and address thereon will be visible. This position will be occupied when the recipient of the 10o 1n other portions in which the recipient may 70 letter opens the same after the latter has been folded on the dotted lines 9.

The reverse side of the soliciting sheet is provided with a name and address portion 20 which is located in the upper right hand corner when viewing such portion and above the envelope. This portion is as wide as the envelope and when the envelope and sheet are folded together, as shown in Fig. 5, this portion will be exposed and will contain the naine and address of the party to whom the soliciting sheet is to be sent. A paster 21 may be pasted over the edge of the sheet after the sheet is folded in order to hold the sheet in a folded position while the sheet is in transit. As all parts are on a single piece of paper,

it is possible to print both sides of all parts v with but two impressions. A user of this soliciting sheet saves labor and material, and cach recipient is sure to receive aV return envelope, an answervor reply blank and, if desired, a duplicate answer or reply blank. These parts cannot become accidentally separated before being mailed by the sender. Printing operations are reduced to a minimum.

Vhat I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent is:

1. A soliciting sheet having a completely formed return envelope in one piece therewith, the sealing flap being connected at its edge to the sheet by a weakened portion and the envelope being provided with an exposed answer form on the inner face of the sealing flap andthe inner face of the ront wall of the envelope.

2. A soliciting sheet having ,an envelope formed in one piece of material therewith, the sealing flap of the envelo e being separated from the main portion o the soliciting sheet by a weakened portion, the side and bottom iiaps of the envelope being secured together and formed to expose the greater portion of the rear face of the front wall of the envelope is secured positions, an answer form arranged on the inner face of the seal- In fact, in any case ing flap and the inner face of the front wall,

being exposed on that side of the sheet of the material on which the main face of the soliciting sheet is arranged, said envelope having on its front wall 1n inverted position the name and address of the sender of the soliciting sheet. I

4. A solicitingsheet having a return envelope in one piece therewith, and an answer form printed on the inner faces of said envelope, and a duplicate answer form secured to a flap of the envelope through a weakened portion and arranged to be superposed over the answer form printed on the envelope.

5. The combination with a return envelope having bottom and side iaps arranged' the bottom flap by a weakened portion and adapted to be superposed on the first mentioned answer form, said envelope having a sealing flap arranged to engage the bottom and side flaps to seal the envelope when the answer form is detached.
