This invention relates to a new and useful device in the nature of and the like, graph and telephone pole.
The object of the invention metal pole for the purpose a pole for clothes lines also adapted for use as a teleis to provide a of providlng longer active use than the usual wooden poles which rapidly deteriorate and fall, damaging life and property.
A further object of the invention is to provide a pole of the class described which may be readily taken apart and transported, and
easily erected.

In Figs. 4 and 5, of the accompanying drawing, I have shown a base or supporting member-consisting of two separate members 87 and 3,8 of square or rectangular shape construction, and a third triangular shape member 39. The base members 37 and38 are. provided with adjacent openingslO and-4:1 respectively, adapted to receive the tongue element 42 of the base member 39 as a. means pound pole, provided with apertures for receiving bolts for attachment to the said side extended elements, and provided with projecting pins engaging in the said apertures for forming an auxiliary rigid connection between the said leg elements and the said side extended elements for aiding in supporting the leg elements together with the arrangement for attaching the leg elements on the side extended elements.

Having thus described my invention what v I claim as new and desire to secure by United States Letters Patent is:
1. In a clothes line and telegraph pole, a
base structure arranged for attachmentto a concrete foundation, and'formed with side extended elements provided with recesses, a plate member engaged in each ofthe said recesses and formed with a plurality of apertures, and legelements for forming a com-v pound pole, arranged for attachment to the 1 said side extended elements, and provided ,with projecting P1118 engaging in the said apertures for forming an auxiliary rigid connection between i the said leg elements and the said side extended elements for aiding in supporting the leg elements .together with the arrangement for attaching the leg elements on the side extended elements.
