T all whom it may concern: i Be it known that CATrmmNcPnULEY, a
- citizen of the United States of America, re-
siding at Lockland, in the county of Hamilton and State of Ohio, has invented new and useful Improvements in a Mask for a s ecification.
Skin Treatment, of which the following is he object of the invention is to provide means for the treatment of the complexion by subjecting the 'face to the heating effects of hot water and likewise to treat neuralgia and similar ailments by providing means whereby moist heat may be applied to all parts of the face;
The invention is described and illustrated in a specific embodiment to which, however, it is not to be restricted. The right is reserved to make such changes or alterations as the actual reduction to pra'ctice"may suggest, in so far as such changes or alterations are compatible in spirit with the annexed claims.
In the accompanying drawings Figure 1, is a perspective view illustrating the invention and its manner of use.
Figure.2, is a vertical central sectional view.
Figure 3, is a transverse sectional view.
The invention comprises a double walled mask, the inner wall 1 of which is preferably of soft and readily yielding rubber, the outer wall 2 being considerably stiffer than the wall 1. Around the eye holes 3, the mouth opening 4 and the nose portion 5 the inner and outer walls are connected together being made integral in the formaof a cord 8 by which the mask is attached to tion of, the mask as by vulcanization or the i like. The inner and outer walls are likewise joined together at their edges and are reinforced by the marginal band 6 in which there are disposed eyelets 7 spaced uniformly apart and adapted for the reception the face.
Treatment is had'by the mask by filling the space between the inner and outerwalls withwater of the desired temperature and that this may be placed in the mask, there is provided a filling mouth 9 equipped with a removable closure 10.
Filled with water, the mask is applied to the face by securing the same in position thereon through the'instrumentality of the cord 8. V
The invention having beendescribed, what is claimed as new and useful is A device for the purpose indicated consisting of spaced inner and outer walls of which the inner is the more flexible. the said walls integrally connected around the eye holes, the mouth opening and nose portion as well as the edges, a binding strip secured to the device at the connecting edges and provided with eyelets whereby a cord may be employed to attach the device to the head ofa person and a filling spout provided with a removable closure so that the space between the walls may be filled with a'liquid.
