To all whom it may concern;
Be it known that I, WALLACE C. RIQHMAN, a citizen of the United States, and residing at East Cleveland, in the county of Cuya hoga, State of Ohio, have made a certain new and useful Invention in Concrete Buildings, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to method of constructing concrete buildings, and particularly the walls of such buildings, wherein what are known as concrete boards or slabs employing individual units are. used, together with means for insuring proper jointure between adjacent boards or slabs in the finished building are employed.
A further object of the invention is to provide means for efi'ecting jointure between adjacent slabs or boards without the use of concrete or other jointing material, thereby making it possible to construct a portable or demountable concrete house, building or the like.
Further objects of the invention will appear more fully hereinafter.
The invention consists in construction, combination, location and relative arrangement of parts, and the method employed in the construction thereof, all as will be more fully hereinafter set forth, as shown by the accompanying drawin and finally pointed out in the appended cfiaim.

The same part is designated by the same reference character wherever it occurs throughout the several views.
In accordance with my invention, I propose to mold concrete boards in any suitable or desired manner. For example, in the manner shown and described in my co-pending application, Serial No; 278,644, filed February 24, 1919, and patented August 7, 1923, as No. 1,483,841 wherein I employ wooden frame, and a sand core with which plication above identified.

ll form a mold, into which the concrete is poured after suitable or proper mixing to form a concrete board of the desired size and shape. While this method of construction of the board is adaptable for my present invention, 1 do not desire to be limited to the particular method employed, of forming the board itself. In accordance with my present invention, I propose to form the 6 entire wall of a building fiat upon the ground, the wall in turn consisting of a pill-- rality of boards or slabs separated from each other by a suitable smooth member.
Referring to Fig. 1,1 show the boards with N their wooden forming frame removed, that is with the boards actually molded, and in the boards, if desired, may be molded window frame 7, and door frame 9 in the exact position and relation to the entire wall thus formed, in which the window and door of the structure are to be positioned in the completed building. In this case separate slabs 2 and 30 are formed above and below the window, and a separate slab 5 above the door. The slabs 2 will be supported by vertical concrete posts 31, 32, alongside the window opening, and likewise the slab 5 above the door will be sup-ported by the concrete columns 33, 34, on opposite sides of the door opening. Each board is separated from its adjacent board by a thin metal strip indicated at 10, which affords the flat smooth edge to the sides of adjacent boards, as will be readily understood. Bolt cores 12 and 13 extend transversely through the entire assembled wall made up of the individual boards and through the separators or strips 10, so that the completed wall will have at its top and bottom a hole extending through the entire longitudinal width thereof in proper alignment relative to each other, for a )urpose which will be more fully hereina ter set forth. In accordance with my invention I propose in the initial casting or molding of the wall structure to give each board an identification designation, for example, and as shown, I 3w have numbered the boards 1, 2, 3, etc., in sequence. The boards thus formed are xfiled February pressed or transported in any suitable manner to the place where the buildin is to be erected. A base 17 provided wit a projecting edge 18 adapted to fit into the groove 16 which has been likewise made either from concrete or any suitable material is first laid and the boards'are erected in the same relation to each other as they were originally formed. Bolts 19 and 20 are passed through the holes 12 and 13 respectively, and the individual boards are various walls 0 the building thus constructed and erected, and all the parts joined together in any suitable or desired manner, or example, as shown and described in my co-pending application, Serial No. 278,653, 24:, 1919, and patented Oct. 18, 1921, No. 1,393,966. It will be seen from the foregoing that I have provided an exceedingly simple and eflic-ient manner of construction of a portable or permanentconcrete building which can be easily and readily erected and easily and readily taken down without injury to the concrete boards which come to make up the finished building. hold the extreme end slabs of the wall, and similarly arranged and disposed bolts for the adjoining wall sections will likewise tie together the slabs of said sections, and, in practice the bolts of one side or section of the wall will cross those of the adjoining side or section of the wall, at the corners of the structure, thus efiiciently tying the entire structure together.-
Many modifications and changes in details will readily occur to those skilled in the art Without departing from the spirit and scope of my invention as defined in the claim, and I desire it to be understood that the foregoing description and disclosure is to be regarded in the illustrative sense, and not in the limiting sense.
Having now set forth the objects and nature of my invention, and having shown and described a structure embodying the principles thereof, what I claim as new and useful, and of m own invention, and desire to secure by etters Patent, is
In a concrete building structure, a wall formed of separate concrete boards, said boards being formed side by side and provided with grooved top and bottom edges and smooth side edges and having bolt cores near the top and bottom edges thereof, a base and a top seated in the bottom and top edges, a plastic material interposed between the side edges of adjacent boards, and bolts passing through the cores of all of the boards for uniting the same into a unitary structure.
