stamped out of a single piece of metal, the forward upper portion of the overhanging end thereof being connected by the crosspiece 6a. The valve stem extensions 15 and 21 are free to move in their openings and the saddle 9 is likewise free so -that should these parts, which are exposed to the exterior stick and be prevented from operating, they can be removed from the gun with very little trouble, and cleaned and restored to place without dismantling the gun.
1What l claim is:
l. ln a spray gun, the combination of a valve stem and a pressed metal trigger'for operating said stem, said trigger consisting of leg portions whose upper ends converge and are internally connected over the valveA stem and Whose lower ends are connected to;- gether by a fastening member and provided with extension flanges for affording a finger surface.
2. ln a spray gun, the comb-inationot` a valve stem and a trigger'rfor operating said valve stem, said trigger being made of a. single blank integrally connected at its upper end bent to embrace a portionof the spray gun and having its lower extremities shaped to accommodate'the operators finger.
3. The combination of a. spray gun, a trigger, a valve stem, and a floating independently movable member interposed between the valve stem' and trigger.
4f. The combination of a spray gun, a trigger, valve stems for operating valves in' control of air pressure and paint or the like, respectively, and a ioating independently maar@ movable member interposed between said trigger and the ends of said valve.
5. ln a. spray gun, the combination of a casting formed Wit-h duets for compressed air and paint, valves for controlling said ducts, stems on said valves, atrigger, and a oating member interposed between said trigger yand said valve stems for sequentially voperating the latter, said trigger co-operating with said floating member at a point between said valve stems.
having detachable stemextensions extendingto the exterior and removable independently of the valves, and means for operating said valves through said detachable stem extensions. Y
8. ln a spray gun, a casting having an air duet7 a trigger, avalve stem, a saddle interposed between said trigger and said valve stem, and guiding posts on said ,saddle mounted for movement in openings on opposite sides of said casting, said trigger cooperating with said saddle at a point between said posts. ln testimony whereof I hereunto affix my signature this 15th day of J une, 1921.
