Be it known that l, FREDERICK HOWARD AULD, a citizen of the United States, residing at Columbus, in the county of Franklin and State'of hio, have invented a certaln new and vuseful Improvement in Containers for Razor-Blades, of which the following is a specification. l

rll`he objectV of this invention is to provide an improved container designed to receive a package of safety razor blades and from which container, when the cover thereof is removed, the package is projected intoposition to ermit the easy abstraction of-one or more o the blades.

The invention is embodied in the example herein shown and described, the features of i noveltybeing nally claimed.

In the several views 5 designates the container proper which is a box-like structure of ordinary elongatedrectangular form of. about the circumferential dimensions of the razor blades, and having 'an ordinary rabbet .e 5a or seat around its rim for the reception of the cover 11. In one end of the box is soldered or otherwise secured the'receptacle for the razor blades, said receptacle consisting of a body or piece preferably'of fairly stii sheet metal 6 cut and bent to form a central tongue 7 projecting upward from the body 6, upwardly extending side flanges 8 having inwardly standing lips or keepers 8", and an upwardly bent end 9 having a :forwardly bent lip or keeper 10.- The spring body 6- may be said to constitute a movable bottom for the container. The upwardly bent-end 9 a'ords the portion for attaching the razor receptacle to the end wall of the box 5. s uiicient frictional engagement with the box to prevent the projection of the razorrecepdepresses the springtongue 7 and the resilience of tongue presses the package up- 4ward with the uppermost blade in contact Y with the keepers 8a.

When a blade is desired for use it is only necessary to remove the cover 11 whereupon thev receptacle is. automatically projected from within the box after which the uppermost blade of the package is easily withdrawn from under the .keepers 8a by' the prop er application of the thumb or linger.

The forms ofthe parts can be changed without departing from the invention as claimed.

What I claim is:

1. A container for razor blades and the like comprising, in combinationya box-like structure and a movable bottomtherefor secured at one wall therein, said bottom con slsting of a resilient body plrovided with a resilient tongue projecting ererom, and a keeper between which and -the resilient tongue the articles are'placed.

2. A container for razor blades and the like comprising, in combination a'box-llke structure and a Amovable bottom therefor secured at one wall therein, saidbottom con-V sisting of a resilient body provided 'with a resilient tongue projecting upward there-1 v from,
