Be it known that l'. Animar M. Fernse, a citizen ot the United States. residing ,at San Francisco, in the county of San Francisco and State oi California. have invented een tain new and useiiil Improve-ments in Wall- Seats, of which the following is a. specifica tion.
This invention relatos to iinprovenients in that type of foldable wall seats disclosed in my previous patent for wall seat, No. 1,132.004, granted lilarch 1G. "isir, the object of the present device.I however, being to provide a simpler and, therefore, more easily and cheaply manutartured article.
While the foregoing is one of the nlain features of this device, from a strae'tiiri'il standpoint the essenee or' my inventimi lies in the peculiar Connections intermediate the seat -ineinbe' and its roiperating harl: eiement and those intermediate the latter and its snpport suoli that, firstly, a quick or ready disengagement of the first mentioned connections is possible, for the purpor-ies hereinafter to be more fully explained, and that, secondly, the back will have viniparteld to it a movement into the housing,r provided for the seat construction and into an inoperative position lying dirertly adjacent to the seat element aforesaid.
A still further object is to provide nieans which in one direction of movement of the seat positively artiiates the bark to direntit into proper operative position and which in the other direction of movement guides said bark into its inoperative position.
These and such other objects as may horeinafter appear are attained by the novel oon- .strnctiorn combination. and arrangement of parts to be hereinafter specifically described and rlainied. f

It will be obvious that the seat section will assume its complete closed position and maintain such position when and as long as the weight of the back section parts is rearward `of the hinge connections (l, and lilcel wise the parts will assume their open position automatically when the weight is brought forward of the-hinge connection just mentioned..v
It will be apparent from the Jforegoing description that a very simple one-operation seat of a foldablc character is provided and one which may he readily manufactured cheaply where such construction may be desired. l
It will be understood, of course. that. slight changes in the details of construction and arrangement ofparts ma y bc made within the.. spirit of the. invention and within the scope of the appended claims.
l-laving thus described my invention, what I claim as new is:

A foldablc seat of the class described comprising, in con'ibination, a, support, a seat section pivotally attached thereto, a back section operatively connected tothe. seat section, a shift-able connection intermediate the back section and the support, stop means for limiting movement of thc, scat section and sustaining the. same when in its downjV wand swung position, and stop means carried by the support and adapted to bey inipinged by the upper portion of the back section to limit forward movement of the same and to prevent bouncing of the scat when the latter is dropped into contact with its stop means aforesaid.
