8. -In a' plu the combination with a sleeve provided witi a. lamp bulb engaging portion, of an insulating core having a section arranged within said sleeve and provided with a portion arranged therewithout, a contact carried by said core having its forward end arranged within said lamp bulb engagingportion, a spring exerting a forward ressuref'on said contact, a terminal engagmg section carried by the end of said contact and movable therewith, said insulating core being formed with a chamber extending laterally therethrough to receive lead wires extending to said terminal engaging section, said chamber being roportioned to allow a limited freedom o motion of said lead wires during adjustment of said contact.
