UNITED STATES PATENT ot er.
PETER J. FLEOK, or NEW YORK, N. Y.
roo'r-Rnsr FOR, vanpm'rons.
Application filed May 12, 1915.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that 1, PETER J. FLECK, a citizen of the United States, residing at New York city, in the county of New York, State structure and which is of a maximum simplicity it being more specifically the object in this latter connection to provide such a foot-rest wherein the attaching portion comprises merely a single length of resilient wire which may be readily snapped in place on the radiator to provide, a sufliciently strong support for the foot engaging portion.
lVith the above and other objects and advantages in view, the invention resides more particularly in the novel combination, formation and arrangement of parts as more fully hereinafter described and pointed out in the appended claim.
Reference is had to the accompanying drawing, wherein similar characters of reference designate corresponding parts throughout the several views, and in which:
Figure 1 is a perspective view showing the improved device embodied with a radiator structure, the end portion of the structure being broken away to more clearly disclose the invention, Fig. 2 is a central vertical sectional view through the improved device, attached, Fig. 3 is a perspective view of the attaching member of the device and Fig. 4 is a perspective view of a modified form of attaching member.
Referring particularly to the accompanying drawing, there is shown a radiator structure comprising the series of vertical Specification of Letters Patent.

spaced pipe sections 5 connected at their lower portions by the usual tubular member 6 and connected at their upper portions by the relatively smaller tubular connections 7. i
.The improved foot-rest as shown in Figs. 1 to 3 of the drawing comprises an attaching portion and a foot holding plate detachably engaged, therewith. The attaching portion comprises a single length of wire including astraight intermediate section 8 adapted to lie against the pipe sections and having its end portions curved at 9 to resihently snap around the pipe sections, the
endsections 11 of the wire being directed substantially at right angles to the curved portion and terminally bent to provide bowed feet 12 to seat on the lower connecting member 6 of the radiator. The foot engaging member comprises a plate 13 having one edge bent at an acute angle at13 to hook over thesection 8 whereby the plate is secured and having its lower edge bent outwardly at 14: to provide a rest. This plate is preferably of resilient material and the bent edge portion 13 engages the pipe section-to resiliently hold the plate at a slight angle to the radiator.
To secure the attaching portion to the radiator, one end portion 9 of the intermediate section is placed around one of the pipes and fits snugly thereagainst and the otherportion is snapped into place. By this construction a considerable outward pull may be exerted on theintermediate section without detaching it, 'while a relatively greatly lesser pull exerted at one end will detach the portions. Thus as the pull of the plate is distributed all'along said section, it will be efficiently held in place.
In Fig. 4, is shown a slight modification wherein the attaching-portion is turned up side down and has its end sections 11 hooked at their ends at 15 to hook over the top connection 7. r a
From the foregoing it'is seen that a comparatively simple structure has been provided which will. efficiently perform the functions set forth, attention being parher comprising a bar having end portions ticularly directed to the fact that the device comprises only two simple integral members.
What is claimed is:
A foot rest comprising an attaching memand a foot engaging portion carried by the In testimony whereof, I affix my signature, in the presence of two Witnesses.
