To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, PERCY citizen of the-United States, residing at Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylvania; have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Combined Circular, Coin-Carrier, Mailing, and Return Envelops; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skillcd in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.

This invention relates to a combined advertising circular, coin carrier, mailing and return envelop.

The object of the invention is to provide an article of this character composed of a single sheet on which the reading matter, instructions on the'coin carrier, and the address on the return envelop may all be printed at one-impress, and in case a composite printing and addressing machine is used, the prospective customers name may,

- be made at the same impress.

Another object is to provide an easily folded article of this character which will be carried by a one cent stamp and which when returned may be securely sealed to protect the contents.

With these and other objects in view, the invention consists of certain novel features of construction, combination and arrangement of parts as will be more fully described and claimed.

It is to be understood that the material from whichthis mailing sheet is formed is preferably light but tough paper out by suit able machinery and referably scored on the dotted lines to facilitate the folding of the various partsas is necessary. I

In the embodiment illustrated a substantially rectangular sheet 1 is shown divided midway its length by a line of scores 2 extending transversely thereof and longitudinally by a line of scores 3 which extends from one end edge of the sheet to the transverse line 2, and the sheet 1 from the inner end of this line 3, is slit to the opposite end edge of the sheet'l thereby dividing the sheet 1 into four rectangular sections, 4, 5, 6 and 7 the sections 4 and 5 being foldably connected by the line of scores 3 and the sections 4 and 6 and 5. and 7 being connected at their ends bythe score line 2 and on which line. said sectionsare adapted to be folded. The. connected sections 4 and 6 form the spacefor the. letter to be written or printed. Section 5 formsthe outer face of, the. return envelop on which thereturn address is printed and the section 7 contains on its face the first address or the address of the prospective customer.

A coin holder 8 extends from the free edge of the section 4 and is here shown substantially rectangular in form and is provided at its inner edge'with a lip 9 which assists in retaining the coin in position on said holder as will be presently described.

This coin holder or flap 8 is provided with two lines of scores 10 and 11 which extend from the center of its free outer edge to points at the inner corners thereof, thus dividing said member 8 into triangles providing foldable triangular fiaps 12 and 13 which, in connection with the lip 9, are adapted to be folded inwardly over the coin to be transmitted and forma pocket for securely holding the coin during transpontation.

Sealing flaps 14 extend from the three free edges of the section 6 and another sealing flap 15 is secured to the connected end of said section on the outer face thereof, these flaps being designed for fastening the sheet in closed position when returned by the customer to the original sender and which thereby renders the sending of money in such sheet safe.

- In the useof this mailingsheet when it is first sent out in the form of a circular letter, the coin holder or flap 8 is first folded inward flat against the inner. face of the section at and the section 6 is folded on the line 2 over said section 4: and flap 8 and then the section 5 is folded inwardly along the score line 3 and the section 7 is folded backwardly or outwardly against the section 5, thus exposing the address of the prospective customer or the person to'whom it is desired to send. the letter. l Vhen the parts are in this position, they may be held by an ordinary paper clip 16 to prevent the separation of the parts during transportation. When it is desired to return this mailing sheet to the original sender and to inclose therein a piece of money 1n the form of a coin or otherwise, the coin is placed on the inner face of the flap 8 and the end or corner flaps 12 and 13 are then folded inwardly thereover and the lip 9 folded over them, thereby securely incasing the coin.-- Theflap 8 is then foldedin'wardly againstthe inner face .of section 4 along the score line 8' which connects the flap 8 withsaid section 4. The section 6 is then folded inwardly over section 4 and incloses the coin holder between its inner face and the inner face of section 4. Section 7 containing ,the receivers orcustomers address, is then folded backward with the outer face thereof engaging the outer face of section 5 and section 5 is then folded backward along-the score line 3, thus positioning motion 7 between the outer faceof section. 5 and the outer face of section 4.

memes When in this position, the inner face of section 5 will be exposed and on which is printed the return address or the name of the original sender to whom the sheet is desired to be transmitted. When the parts are in this position,'the sealing flaps. 14 along the side and end edges of section 6 are folded over the outer face of section 5 along the side and end edges thereof and sealed thereto, said flaps being-preferably provided with nnicilage in the ordinary -1nanner. When the parts are thus disposed, the device is ready to be mailed and will beproperly conveyed to the point desired by placing a two cent stamp thereon.

I claim as my invention:

1. A mailing sheet comprising a plurality of foldably connected sections two of whichare separated by longitudinal slit, and sealing flaps disposed along the free side and end edges of one of the slit separated se'ctions, and sealing flaps secured to the outer face of the connected end of said section,

2. A 'mailing sheet'comprising a plurality of foldably connected sections, a coi-n'holder foldably connected to one end of oneof said sectionsvand having t-foldable flaps thereon for incasing a coin, two of said sections being separated longitudinally by a slit and one of them provided along one face on both side edgs and one end with sealing flaps and on its'opposite face at its other end with a sealing flap.
