Referring more particularly to the said drawing, the improved device consists,

briefly, as shown, of two main parts, namely, the arm rest proper A, and the attaching means 3 therefor. The former part is composed of anfelongated body 5 made of a single ply or thickness of some suitable flexible textile or other material in the center of which body is arranged a pad 6 of any desired size andshape. Thispad is preferably constructed of sheet rubber of the required thickness to support the elbow of "the wearer above the writing surface, and it is vulcanizedto the outer face of the body 5 at its edges, the portion 7 of such body directly above the pad being cut away, as will be understood from Figs. 1 and In t the construction illustrated, the pad is of a circular or dislclike form, and the opening 7 in-the body, beneath which it is disposed is likewise circular, but of slightly less diameter than the pad itself. A writers arm rest comprising a bandage-like body portion consisting of a single thickness of flexible material adapted to be applied against the. under surface oft-he fore-arm at the elbow; means for adjustably drawing the ends of said body directly toward each other against the adjacent side surfaces of the arm,.to blnd up the ad ace nt 5 point of the elbow.

A writers arm rest comprising a band age-like body portion consisting of a single thickness of flexible material adapted to be applied against the under surface of the fore-arm at the elbow; elastic means permanently connected to one end of said body and adapted for adjustable and removable connection to the other end thereof, to draw said ends directly toward each other and against the adjacent side surfaces of the arm, with varying degrees of tightness; and an arm-supporting pad secured to the central portionof the under surface of said body and adapted to lie beneath the point of the elbow.
