IMPROVEMENT `IN WOOD-BUCKETS.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent an making part of the same To all whom it 'may concern.-`

Be it known that I, SAMUEL S. VAlL', of Keokuk, Lee county, Iowa, have invented a. new und useful Improvement in Articles of Manufacture and Trude, constituting Wood-Buckets#7 aud'I declare the following to be a. full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing and to the letters ot'reference marked thereon, in which- Figure l is a perspective elevation of my woodbucket.

My invention hns for its object the production of-u suitable article of manufacture and trade, to serve for conveniently carrying stove-wood into houses for use,

My improved article is made substantially as shown and 'set forth.

A is the wood-bucket, constructed of sheet metal, or otherwise, with rectangular parallel sides() C a-nd ends E E in vits horizontal section, so ns'to receive the sticks of wood most conveniently, while it is of o. nature convenient to construct of sheet metal, which seems best suited to the purpose, considering the uses for which it would be required, where durability and strength, neatness, and imperviousness to fire, :is well as lightness, are required.

The bucket is intended to serve, also, instead of en unsightly permanent wood-box, for holding wood, in the house, for which it may be ot' as large size as is otherwise convenient.

I :im aware-there is little of startling-novelty in my invention but I'belicve much tba-tis new and useful as au article ot' manufacture and use.
