Durch die erfindungsgemäße Lösung kann die Scharnieranordnung aus Kunststoff einfach hergestellt werden. Die Scharnierachse definiert die Schwenkachse für den Klappenteil. Die begrenzte Linearbeweglichkeit der Scharnierlasche relativ zu ihrem Befestigungsort gewährleistet die zusätzliche Hubbeweglichkeit des Klappenteils. Vorzugsweise sind wenigstens zwei Filmscharniere zur Lagerung des Klappenteils vorgesehen, die einem unteren Rand des Ausschnitts und damit auch einem unteren Rand des Klappenteils zugeordnet sind. Das Flächenprodukt kann aus mehreren Flächenteilen zu einem dreidimensionalen Hohlkörper zusammengefügt sein und wenigstens ein Flächenteil ist mit dem Ausschnitt versehen, der durch den Klappenteil verschließbar ist. In vorteilhafter Weise ist als Flächenprodukt ein Faltwandungsring für einen Palettenbehälter vorgesehen, wobei der Faltwandungsring auf einem Palettenboden aufstellbar ist und oberseitig durch einen Deckel verschließbar ist. Der Faltwandungsring besteht aus mehreren Flächenteilen, die jeweils in einem Twin-Sheet-Verfahren aus zwei thermoplastischen Kunststofffolien unter Bildung einer Doppelschale für den jeweiligen Flächenteil tiefgezogen sind. Wenigstens einer dieser Twin-Sheet-Teile ist mit dem Ausschnitt versehen, der durch den Klappenteil verschließbar ist. Auch der Klappenteil ist vorzugsweise als Twin-Sheet-Teil aus thermoplastischen Kunststoffmaterialien hergestellt. In vorteilhafter Weise sind auch der Palettenboden und der Deckel des Palettenbehälters als Twin-Sheet-Teile aus entsprechenden thermoplastischen Kunststoffmaterialien hergestellt. Besonders vorteilhaft sind sowohl der Faltwandungsring als auch der Palettenboden und der Deckel des Palettenbehälters aus gleichen Kunststoffmaterialien, vorzugsweise aus HDPE, hergestellt. Durch die Integration der relativ zu ihrem Befestigungsort begrenzt linearbeweglichen Scharnierlasche in einer Hohlkammer ist die Scharnierlasche jeder Scharnieranordnung geschützt angeordnet, so dass Beschädigungen vermieden werden können. Die erfindungsgemäße Lösung eignet sich auch für andere Flächenprodukte, die insbesondere als Twin-Sheet-Teile aus thermoplastischem Kunststoff hergestellt sind. Für das Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Faltwandungsrings gemäß der eingangs genannten Art wird die der Erfindung zugrunde liegende Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, dass der Klappenteil gleichzeitig mit dem Flächenteil aus den beiden Kunststofffolien tiefgezogen wird, wobei der Ausschnitt des Flächenteils zu einem Seitenabschnitt des Flächenteils hin offen ist, und wobei der Klappenteil während des Tiefziehvorgangs geringfügig versetzt zu dem Ausschnitt des Flächenteils angeordnet ist, und wobei eine Randkante des gegenüberliegenden Seitenabschnitts des Flächenteils einen Rand für eine offene Seite des Ausschnitts bildet. Durch das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren ist es möglich, den Klappenteil gemeinsam mit dem mit dem Ausschnitt versehenen Flächenteil in einer gemeinsamen Werkzeugform herzustellen und den entstehenden Materialabfall auf ein Minimum zu reduzieren. Die geringfügige Versetzung des Klappenteils relativ zu dem Ausschnitt ist notwendig, um die Anformung entsprechender Rastmittel am Klappenteil einerseits und am Rand des Ausschnitts andererseits bereits bei der Herstellung mit auszuformen. Erfindungsgemäß können Klappenteil und Flächenteil somit in einem gemeinsamen Twin-Sheet-Tiefziehvorgang hergestellt werden. Für die Vorrichtung zur Durchführung des Verfahrens, die mit einem Twin-Sheet-Tiefziehwerkzeug versehen ist, in dem zwei Kunststofffolien unter Bildung von Teilschalen tiefziehbar und durch Zusammenpressen der Teilschalen zu dem Flächenteil miteinander verschweißbar sind, wird die der Erfindung zugrundeliegende Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, dass das Twin-Sheet-Tiefziehwerkzeug zur Bildung eines einstückigen Twin-Sheet-Teiles, das den Flächenteil und den Klappenteil umfasst, ausgestaltet ist. Das Twin-Sheet-Tiefziehwerkzeug weist einander gegenüberliegende Werkzeugformen für das Tiefziehen der jeweiligen Kunststofffolie auf, in der der herzustellende Klappenteil geringfügig versetzt zu einem Ausschnitt des Flächenteils angeordnet ist. Nach dem Herstellen des entsprechenden Twin-Sheet-Produkts wird der Klappenteil im Bereich des Ausschnitts durch spanende Bearbeitung von dem Flächenteil getrennt.
