Definitions
- the invention relates to an application system for two-component materials, which comprises a first component accommodated in a first packaging unit and a second component accommodated in a second packaging unit. It further relates to an application device for such a system and a method for producing a bonding and / or covering of two-component materials.
- coordinate-controlled systems predominate, in which primarily pumps or pneumatic conveyors are used to expel the system components from the respective packaging units.
- Such systems are only partially suitable for small series production and generally not for the craft sector.
- the Applicant has therefore developed systems of a wet-reactive composition and a much lower proportion of hardener component to be mixed. These systems meet important practical requirements in an excellent way.
- a dynamic mixer which preferably has at least one of the following features: at least one tapping element for opening the first and / or second packaging unit, two premixing chambers and a rotor with rotor blades designed to effect feed in connection with the mixing process.
- the mixer has these features in combination.
- the first packaging unit in one embodiment of the invention is a tubular bag
- the second packaging unit is a rigid-walled cartridge.
- the first and second packaging units are firmly connected to one another, and even further, a plurality of mixers are accommodated in a packaging that is separate from the combination of the first and second packaging units. This takes into account the fact that, with customary package sizes, the complete processing of the package contents of the two components usually takes place in a plurality of processes spaced apart from one another and a new mixer must be used at the beginning of a new processing process.
- the invention further proposes an application device with battery or battery operation which, in addition to a holder for holding the specially designed packaging units of the system components, has an electric drive with battery power supply for coordinated expulsion of the moisture-curing composition from the first packaging unit and the curing agent.
- Component of the second packaging unit and means for driving a used in the application device in use dynamic mixer has.

- the device has a in a central region attached to the body, in side view U- or V-shaped handle, which is designed to receive a battery pack in one of the legs of the "U” or "V".
- Advantageous embodiments of the proposed method result from the above-mentioned specifics of the packaging units of the moist-reactive composition and the hardener component (tubular bag or cartridge with rigid wall) and, in a further embodiment, from their constructive connection to a coherent packaging unit.
- a further method aspect results from the separate provision of the mixer or preferably several mixers in a separate packaging, which takes into account the fact that the contents of the packaging unit (s) are usually completely consumed only with work interruptions that require a replacement of the mixer.
- the hardener component in the second packaging unit will be provided at a volume of 5% or less, more specifically between 1 and 3.5%, of the volume of the wet-reactive composition in the first packaging unit. This leads, compared to previously practiced much higher proportion of hardener, to an advantageous reduction of the mixing power, the required precision is ensured by a suitable mixer design.
- the application device is operated at a mixer speed in the range between 50 and 100 min -1 , more specifically between 60 and 80 min -1 , at a discharge rate of 1 ml / s. These speeds are quite practical with regard to the energy consumption and the service life of the battery pack.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an application system for two-component materials, which comprises a first component accommodated in a first packaging unit and a second component accommodated in a second packaging unit. It further relates to an application device for such a system and a method for producing a bonding and / or covering of two-component materials.
The processing of bicomponent fabrics for the production of adhesive bonds and / or seals has long been known in the most diverse fields of technology and daily practice. Various packaging configurations for the components of the system and adapted application devices have been developed for the various areas of application, some of which differ significantly in terms of practical requirements.
In industrial applications, coordinate-controlled systems predominate, in which primarily pumps or pneumatic conveyors are used to expel the system components from the respective packaging units. Such systems are only partially suitable for small series production and generally not for the craft sector.
In the trades, for example in the field of production of adhesives or seals or in the vehicle replacement glazing, formerly hand-operated application devices dominated, and for some years there are mains and battery-operated devices. These have greatly facilitated the exhausting expulsion process for the craftsman and the use of larger packages made possible with appropriate expelling forces in the first place, but the application is limited.
Certain handicraft limitations also arise from the chemical composition of known bi-component materials and the associated physico-chemical parameters and processing conditions. Thus, systems with very high proportions of the individual components - such as 30: 1 or higher - difficult to mix sufficiently accurately with known devices. Certain systems have at least at low temperatures of a few degrees Celsius, but which must be mastered in craftsmanship quite well, so high viscosity or toughness that their expulsion from the packaging is possible only with great effort or power consumption. Furthermore, in certain known systems, the permissible "open time" (pot life) is too short and / or the so-called "safe driving time" (in the field of vehicle replacement glazing), especially at low temperatures, unfavorably long.
The Applicant has therefore developed systems of a wet-reactive composition and a much lower proportion of hardener component to be mixed. These systems meet important practical requirements in an excellent way.
It is an object of the invention to provide a particularly suitable for artisanal application application system for two-component fabrics of the latter type as well as a suitable application device and finally a corresponding advantageous method for producing a bond and / or seal.
This object is achieved in its system aspect by an application system according to
In the proposed application system, a dynamic mixer is used which preferably has at least one of the following features: at least one tapping element for opening the first and / or second packaging unit, two premixing chambers and a rotor with rotor blades designed to effect feed in connection with the mixing process. Preferably, the mixer has these features in combination.
The first packaging unit in one embodiment of the invention is a tubular bag, and the second packaging unit is a rigid-walled cartridge. In a further refinement, the first and second packaging units are firmly connected to one another, and even further, a plurality of mixers are accommodated in a packaging that is separate from the combination of the first and second packaging units. This takes into account the fact that, with customary package sizes, the complete processing of the package contents of the two components usually takes place in a plurality of processes spaced apart from one another and a new mixer must be used at the beginning of a new processing process.
The invention further proposes an application device with battery or battery operation which, in addition to a holder for holding the specially designed packaging units of the system components, has an electric drive with battery power supply for coordinated expulsion of the moisture-curing composition from the first packaging unit and the curing agent. Component of the second packaging unit and means for driving a used in the application device in use dynamic mixer has. The flexibility of the use of known application devices reducing and handling in certain situations aggravating network connection is omitted here.
In a preferred embodiment, the holder of the application device comprises a first cartridge receiving device, which is designed to receive a first packaging unit designed as a tubular bag, and a second cartridge receiving device, which is adapted to receive a cartridge formed with a rigid wall formed second packaging unit. Correspondingly, the electric drive comprises a first spout rod with an ejector piston mounted thereon for expelling the wet-reactive composition from the tubular bag, and a second spout rod having an ejector piston for the hardener component integrated with the rigid-walled cartridge and a drive shaft for the dynamic mixer, all of which are arranged on the output side of an input side connected to the electric motor gear unit. An application device according to the invention in this embodiment ensures wide use of the aforementioned novel two-component material in a particularly suitable packaging configuration in various fields of application, in particular in the field of vehicle replacement glazing.
In a compact and advantageous to be handled configuration, the application device has an elongated cylindrical body, in the longitudinal axis in series, the holder for receiving the first and second packaging unit, the first and second ejection bar and the mixer drive shaft in juxtaposition, the transmission unit and the electric motor are accommodated. Specifically, the device has a in a central region attached to the body, in side view U- or V-shaped handle, which is designed to receive a battery pack in one of the legs of the "U" or "V".
Advantageous embodiments of the proposed method result from the above-mentioned specifics of the packaging units of the moist-reactive composition and the hardener component (tubular bag or cartridge with rigid wall) and, in a further embodiment, from their constructive connection to a coherent packaging unit. A further method aspect results from the separate provision of the mixer or preferably several mixers in a separate packaging, which takes into account the fact that the contents of the packaging unit (s) are usually completely consumed only with work interruptions that require a replacement of the mixer.
Specifically, it is contemplated that the hardener component in the second packaging unit will be provided at a volume of 5% or less, more specifically between 1 and 3.5%, of the volume of the wet-reactive composition in the first packaging unit. This leads, compared to previously practiced much higher proportion of hardener, to an advantageous reduction of the mixing power, the required precision is ensured by a suitable mixer design.
In a further embodiment of the method it is provided that the application device is operated at a mixer speed in the range between 50 and 100 min -1 , more specifically between 60 and 80 min -1 , at a discharge rate of 1 ml / s. These speeds are quite practical with regard to the energy consumption and the service life of the battery pack.
In the following the invention with reference to the preferred embodiments with reference to the figures will be described in more detail, with only the features necessary for understanding the invention features are shown. The metering and
The
The gear unit 8 is driven by an electric motor 9 in the embodiment of the dosing and

For operating the device, an operating
The embodiment of the invention is not limited to these examples, but also in a variety of modifications possible, which are within the scope of professional action.
