- Die Schmierung lässt sich optimieren, wenn der Schmiermittelaustritt im Oberflächenbereich der bewegten Teile erfolgt. Dadurch kann das Schmiermittel gezielt an definierte Schmiermittelpunkte (Schmiermittelflächen) gebracht werden.
- Die Verteilung des Schmiermittels zwischen zwei zueinander bewegten Bauteilen oder zwischen einem bewegten und einem statischen Bauteil ist präziser, wenn die Schmiermittelzufuhr über das (ein) bewegte(s) Bauteil erfolgt.
- Mehrere Schmiermittelleitungen können an einen gemeinsamen Schmiermittelverteiler strömungstechnisch angeschlossen werden. Vom Schmiermittelverteiler können so einzelne Schmiermittelleitungen, Gruppen von Schmiermittelleitungen oder alle Schmiermittelleitungen hinsichtlich Zeit, Menge, Druck der Schmiermittelzufuhr beziehungsweise dem Ort der Schmiermittelabgabe gesteuert/geregelt werden.
- Mit den vorgenannten Maßnahmen lassen sich definierte Teile der Maschine zu definierten Zeitpunkten mit definierten Schmiermittelmengen versorgen.
- Mit den beschriebenen Maßnahmen lassen sich auch Schmiermittelmuster erstellen, die eine verbesserte Schmierung ermöglichen.
