Claims (16)
- Apparatus for labelling vessels such as bottles, cans and other containers and packaging, the said apparatus including a vessel conveyor and a labelling station (4-7) positioned on the periphery of the said vessel conveyor so as to be operational in an alternate manner, having a label transfer and dispensing device (9) for labels (8), which are delivered on a carrier strip, adhere to the said carrier strip and are applied by means of the dispensing device in the transfer region adhering onto the outside surface (10) of the vessel, the said vessel having undergone a superposed rotational movement, as well as having a pressing apparatus (11) with pressing element (13) for pressing and/or smoothing the labels applied onto the vessels, characterised in that the pressing apparatus (11) is disposed so as to be displaceable independently from the labelling transfer and dispensing device (9) and to be displaceable along the periphery of the vessel conveyor and in that the pressing element (13) of an inactive labelling station (4, 6) can be moved out of its operating position into a rest position at least slightly outside the plane of movement of the vessel and the said movement can be effected independently of the label transfer and dispensing device (9).
- Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the pressing element (13) is moveable into a rest position and the labelling station (5 - 7) is moveable into a reloading or service position.
- Apparatus according to claim 1, characterised in that the pressing apparatus (11) is part of the labelling station (5 - 7) and is moveable with the said labelling station or independent of the said labelling station out of the operating position and vice versa.
- Apparatus according to the preceding claims, characterised in that the pressing element (13) is mounted on a coupler mechanism (18) so as to be pivotable in and out.
- Apparatus according to the preceding claims, characterised in that the pivoting of the pressing element (13) and/or the pressing apparatus (11) is effected in a vertical plane.
- Apparatus according to the preceding claims, characterised in that the pivoting of the pressing element (13) and/or the pressing apparatus (11) is effected in a horizontal plane.
- Apparatus according to the preceding claims, characterised in that the pressing apparatus (11) includes a plurality of pressing elements (13), which are disposed spaced apart and are adjustable separately to the vessels to be labelled.
- Apparatus according to claim 7, characterised in that the pressing elements (13) and/or their surface on the side of the vessel is formed from resiliently deformable material.
- Apparatus according to preceding claims 7 - 8, characterised in that the pressing elements (13) are secured to a displaceable holder element (15), which is under the effect of a restoring force.
- Apparatus according to preceding claims 7 - 9, characterised in that the pressing elements (13) or their holding parts are mounted so as to be exchangeable in a simple manner by means of a quick-change device (14).
- Apparatus according to preceding claims 7 - 10, characterised in that the pressing elements (13) are mounted so as to be moved at least approximately in a radial manner forward and backward.
- Apparatus according to preceding claims 7 - 11, characterised in that the pressing elements (13) are mounted so as to be moved at least approximately in a circular manner forward and backward.
- Apparatus according to preceding claims 7 - 12, characterised in that the contour of the pressing elements (13) is configured corresponding to the course of the corresponding rotating vessel surface.
- Apparatus according to preceding claims 7 - 13, characterised in that the pressing elements (13) are formed from an arbitrarily modifiable plane (17) that is adaptable to the surface of the vessel to be processed.
- Apparatus according to preceding claims 7 - 14, characterised in that the plane of the pressing elements (13) is divided into a plurality of part planes corresponding to the material of the vessel and label to be processed and the positions of the said part planes are adaptable to the surface of the vessel to be processed by means of automatically actuatable adjusting elements of the pressing apparatus (11).
- Apparatus according to preceding claims 7 - 15, characterised in that the pressing elements (13) are positionable by means of a multi-axis positioning unit and/or correspondingly associated rotation apparatuses.
