Abstract

A sealed, implantable electronics module adapted for inclusion in an implantable hearing aid system, the electronics module comprising: a microphone; an amplifier for receiving an input signal from said microphone, and for providing an output signal to a microactuator also included in the implantable hearing aid system; a energy storage device for powering operation of the implantable hearing aid system; a housing for receiving and hermetically enclosing said microphone, said amplifier and said energy storage device; and an electrical connector coupled to said amplifier for providing the output signal to the microactuator of the implantable hearing aid system.
