Abstract

The antenna has a base body (6) with a contact region (3) and a receiving arrangement, whereby the base body and receiving arrangements are at least partly enclosed by a casing that especially consists of a soft material. The base body is designed so that when the finished antenna is fitted relative movement does not occur between the base body and the casing.

Description

The invention relates to an antenna, in particular a mobile radio antenna for vehicles, according to the features of the preamble of claim 1.

Such antennas, in particular mobile radio antennas for vehicles, are known. These have a metal base body which, on the one hand, has receiving means, is in particular provided with an antenna coil or an antenna rod and on the other hand has a contact area with which the antenna moves into a corresponding one Contact area connected in the vehicle, in particular screwed in, becomes. A large part of the body, with the exception of the contact area, and at least some of the receiving means are electrically non-conductive Surrounding sheath to protect the metal parts inside from corrosion protect and achieve an overall more pleasing appearance. This type of antennas allows the antennas to be removed from the vehicle for example when the vehicle drives through a car wash. on the other hand it is important that when the antenna is on the vehicle, a good connection given for reasons of stability as well as transmission must be on the one hand the function of the antenna and on the other hand its stability to ensure. Especially with screw connections, via which the antenna on the It is important that the vehicle is attached, that it is tightened securely. Because of the design of the antenna with the metal components inside and its casing there may be a relative movement between when the antenna is screwed on the metal inner components and the outer casing. This rotary movement causes one on at least one flank of the base body acting force, the force acting on an inclined surface of the base body (figure 4a). The casing can therefore slip over the inner parts. This is not ensures that the antenna as a whole is secure and secure with the installation site, in particular the vehicle. This poses problems particularly when the base body and the receiving means are approximately one have a round cross-section, just during the series production of such Antennas can be realized inexpensively.

The invention is therefore based on the object of an antenna, in particular an antenna Mobile radio antenna for vehicles, with which the above-described Disadvantages are avoided.

This object is solved by the features of claim 1.

According to the invention it is provided that the base body is designed such that at the installation of the finished antenna at its installation site, especially on the outer skin of the vehicle, a relative movement between the base body and the Sheathing does not take place. A rotating movement on the casing caused thus an almost rectangular force effect on at least one flank of the Basic body, which just prevents a relative movement. This ensures that when handling the antenna on the jacket, first a secure attachment of the antenna is guaranteed at their installation site. Especially with a screw connection can be tightened sufficiently. Also at disassembling the antenna has prevented the relative movement between the main body and the casing the advantage that the antenna is reliable can be removed from their installation location. Would there be a relative movement here the antenna could no longer, or only with the help of tools be removed from their installation site. However, this suits the driver if he for example want to unscrew the antenna before entering a car wash, not available.

Base body and receiving means can be two or more individual components that be put together in a corresponding manner. The basic body can also be formed in several parts. A single (one-piece) component would also be conceivable, that offers the function of both, the main body also receiving means is, i.e. that in combination of the base body with the antenna coil, the spring, a connector, a choke coil or the like the entire antenna results.

As designs or means of preventing the relative movement between the The base body and the casing is at least one in the longitudinal direction of the antenna aligned web and / or at least one aligned in the longitudinal direction of the antenna Groove available. The at least one groove can be simple in terms of production technology introduced into the base body, which is manufactured, for example, as a turned part become. If, for example, the base body is manufactured as a cast or stamped part, the at least one web can be easily attached. It is also conceivable that the base body is provided with at least one hole into which a pin is used. The base body can equally well be provided with slots, in which wings are used that extend beyond the surface of the base body protrude. Because of these designs and means with which the body is provided prevents a relative movement after the covering has been attached can take place between the base body and the casing. The Applying these means and the design of the base body has the advantage that the base body is in the area of the thicker antenna base, which is used for Assembly and disassembly of the antenna is easier to reach than the central area of the Antenna or the antenna rod.

In an alternative embodiment, it makes sense that the base body, at least partially, especially in its intermediate area, a triangular or quadrangular Has cross-section. A rotating movement on the casing also causes here an almost rectangular force effect on the outer surfaces of the base body. Because of these special cross sections, there is also a relative movement between the body and the casing avoided. Because with a hexagonal Cross-section (or with more corners) there is a risk that the sheathing turns over this polygonal cross-section, because the sheathing from one elastic material, in particular an elastic thermoplastic.

In an alternative embodiment of the invention is at the attachment point between an intermediate part fastened to the base body and the receiving means, which prevents the relative movement between the base body and the casing. If the base body and the receiving means, in particular a spring, an antenna coil, a choke coil, a connector or an antenna rod, not be made in one piece, it is necessary that the base body with these Receiving means is provided. This can be done, for example, by means of a solder connection, Welded connection, adhesive connection or material connection of another kind, or a press fit. It can be between the base body and the receiving means an intermediate part is inserted and connected with, so that the The basic body is designed in such a way that the relative movement is prevented. In which The intermediate part can be, for example, a star-shaped component, wherein also a component with grooves and / or webs in the longitudinal direction of the antenna are aligned, can act.

An embodiment of an antenna and a base body to which the invention but is not limited, are described below and based on the Figures explained.

This antenna 1 has a particularly conical antenna base 2, which is provided with an electrically conductive contact area 3, wherein the antenna 1 via the contact area 3 configured as a screw connection used at their installation site, in particular screwed. Longitudinal extends from the antenna base 2, a central region 4 of the antenna 1, an antenna rod 5 adjoins this. In addition, designs are also one Antenna conceivable in which the actual receiving means does not reach into the antenna rod 5 are sufficient, but are only in the central area 4 (so-called stub antenna).

Figure 2 shows the antenna 1 according to Figure 1 in section. Here you can see that in the area of the antenna base 2, a base body 6 made of metal is arranged, on which a Antenna coil 7 is attached. This antenna coil 7 extends at the shown embodiment to approximately in the middle of the central region 4, wherein there the antenna rod 5 connects to the antenna coil 7. As can be seen in Figure 2 is, the base body 6, the antenna coil 7 and the lower part of the Antenna rod 5 surrounded by a sheath 8. Because at least when operating the Antenna 1 this must be flexible, the antenna coil 7 is designed as a spring. At the same time, the casing 8 consists of an elastically deformable Material, especially a thermoplastic elastomer (TPE). After manufacture the base body 6, the antenna coil 7 and the antenna rod 5 are these metal components connected together, for example by soldering or a squeeze. After the components involved have been connected, the sheathing 8 encapsulates the connected components, while it is also conceivable insert into a mold and manufacture the casing 8 by filling out the mold.

Figure 3 shows the base body 6 in the middle of Figure 3 in its side view. On The base body 6 has the contact area 3 (in particular one end thereof) Screw thread), while the area facing away from the contact area 3 as Receiving area 9 for the receiving means, in particular the antenna coil 7, is designed. In this embodiment, the receiving area 9 is designed as a pin, over which the spring-like antenna coil 7 are pushed and fastened can. It is also conceivable that the receiving area 9 is designed as a blind hole, in which the receiving means are plugged in and fastened. Between the contact area 3 and the receiving area 9 there is an intermediate area 10, for example can be designed corner-shaped. Since it is due to this corner-shaped Design of the intermediate area 10, especially when using a soft material for the casing 8, a relative movement is not possible between the base body 6 and the casing 8 during the screwing movement prevent, the base body 6 has at least one in the longitudinal direction of the antenna 1 aligned groove 11, so that due to this shape and the environment the antenna 1 with the casing 8, this casing 8 is no longer relative can move to the base body 6. As in Figure 3, left representation (in the contact area 3) and can be seen in the right representation (in the recording area 9) several grooves 11 at least over the intermediate area 10 and optionally Furthermore. Instead of the grooves 11 there are of course webs, Wings or the like are conceivable, the grooves 11 having the particular advantage that the material of the casing 8 can settle in the grooves 11 without that the diameter of the casing 8 is weakened.

Figure 4a shows a section through a base body 6 according to the prior art. Here, when the antenna is screwed on, there can be a relative movement between the metal inner components and the outer casing. This rotary movement D about the central axis M causes one to at least one Flank of the base body acting force F, the force F at an acute angle α acts on an inclined surface of the base body 6. Therefore, the casing slip over the inner parts.

FIG. 4b shows a section through an inventive device to solve this problem Base body 6 with longitudinally extending grooves 11. A rotary movement D on the casing around the central axis M thus causes an almost rectangular one Force action F on at least one flank of the base body 6 or of the grooves 11, which just causes a relative movement between the base body 6 and the casing 8 is avoided. Instead of the grooves 11 (or additionally), a web can also be used There may be 12 or more webs, as indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 4a is. Approximately the same advantageous force relationships result for the webs like with grooves. The flanks of the grooves 11 or the webs 12 can also be in one other than a right angle to the surface of the base body 6 aligned his.
