Abstract

In einem programmgesteuerten Haushaltgerät 1 werden Daten, z.B. über aktuelle Betriebszustände, ermittelt und in codierte Lichtsignale umgesetzt werden, die an einer gut zugänglichen Stelle durch ein Lichtaustrittsfenster 4 nach außen gesendet werden. Die Lichtsignale werden von einem Auslesegerät 5 empfangen, an das ein Lichtempfänger 8 angeschlossen ist, der am Lichtaustrittsfenster 4 des Haushaltgerätes 1 befestigt werden kann. Vom Auslesegerät 5 werden die Lichtsignale decodiert und die Daten des Haushaltgerätes angezeigt. Die Schnittstelle zum separaten Auslesegerät besteht somit aus einem einfachen Lichtaustrittsfenster 4, das sich besonders vorteilhaft in die Außenwand des Haushaltgerätes 1 integrieren läßt, und keiner Korrosions- oder Verunreinigungsgefahr ausgesetzt ist, wie beispielsweise elektrische Anschlüsse, wodurch die Daten vom Haushaltgerät 1 einfach und sicher zu einem getrennten Auslesegerät 5 übertragen werden können.
