Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a wooden chair in solid construction with a backrest attached to at least one spar, each spar between the seat and the The backrest is divided and the parting line is separated by an in rod-shaped spring element anchored on both spar halves is bridged.
By dividing the spars a wooden chair in one Bending stressed area and bridging the joints each by at least one flexible spring element is achieved that the spars around these cross-sectional areas are elastically flexible and thus the backrest is compliant. A slightly springy backrest is used for the Leaning on is perceived as very pleasant and comfortable. When falling over the resilient spars soften the back of the chair also the impact and thus reduce the risk of Damage to the backrest.
Such a wooden chair is for example from DE-AS 1 264 002 known. To split the brain or end grain at the ends of the handlebar halves an elaborate edging of the end spigot of the spar parts in Steel cans proposed. These steel cans are with the Execution described there to achieve in practice useful shelf life indispensable. Still can it with the proposed spring rod attachment to one Wear of the mounting holes for the spring rod the at least to a decrease in the predetermined Restoring force leads. The depressions shown in the figure give the bar spring a at the bore ends somewhat higher elasticity, but the clamping area begins in the critical area of the tapered pin and is dependent on the stabilization by the steel can.
The object of the invention is a wooden chair with resilient backrest to create an improved Has durability with less manufacturing effort.
According to the invention the object is achieved in that in each two bar halves bores for receiving the spring element are provided, the one on the end face of the the first area larger in each spar half Diameter of at least about 25 mm in length and one adjoining second area of narrower diameter have, in which one end of the respective spring element attached to a length of at least about 25 mm is.
It has been shown that by relocating the Serving for the actual attachment of the spring elements Borehole areas by at least the amount mentioned in the Range of usual manufacturing tolerances can fluctuate, one significant improvement in durability can be achieved can without additional elements such as e.g. an elastic Sleeve or a steel sleeve to reinforce the ends of the bars would be necessary. This is due to the fact that the spar ends in the more distant areas below the acting forces of the spring element significantly have less tendency to split than in the so-called Brain or end grain area. Cross-sectional tapering on the Ends of the bar halves are without deterioration in the strength value possible, provided they are not up to the narrowest Bore areas are sufficient.
The larger diameter of the first bore area creates at the same time space for the elastic deformations of the spring element, so resilient and comparatively in itself rigid spring elements are used can, the desired elasticity of the backrest due to the comparatively large clamping distance of at least 50 mm plus the gap width between the bar halves is achieved. In this way, the gap can be a Minimum dimensions can be reduced if, for example, the lines of the design in the area of the flexible joint should not be interrupted clearly. The through the other drilling areas are available alone Clamping distance already offers sufficient possibilities to achieve adequate elasticity.
On the manufacture of a wooden chair with the invention anchored spring element is very simple. In the simplest In this case, it is sufficient to have stepped bores in the two halves of the spar to provide with the two areas, a suitable Introduce glue into the narrower bore areas and finally the spring elements in the narrow bore areas to plug in. Instead of a particularly simple step hole, that already meet all strength requirements the further first bore area can also be a have variable diameters along its length and, for example be adapted to the deformation of the spring element.
The durability values of the connection can be checked Improve extension of the bore sections, being above of lengths of 50 mm with regard to the two areas on the occurring loads only smaller Improvements can be achieved.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention Spring element made of plastic and is with its ends in the second bore areas of the spar halves to be connected glued in. Find stiffness elasticity values preferably fiber reinforced, especially glass fiber reinforced Plastics use.
Spring elements made on a plastic basis have opposite metallic spring bars have the advantage that plastics wood very much in its elasticity properties are more similar and a much better bond of Plastics with wood as possible between metal and wood is.
Vorzugsweise besitzen die Federelemente aus glasfaserverstärktem Kunststoff eine Länge von wenigstens ungefähr 150 mm und bei kreisförmigem Querschnitt einen Durchmesser von wenigstens ungefähr 10 mm.Preferably, the spring elements made of glass fiber reinforced Plastic length of at least about 150 mm and with a circular cross section a diameter of at least about 10 mm.
A wooden chair with two bars with spring elements made of fiberglass with a length of 200 mm and a diameter of 12 mm, in bores each about 50 mm long first and second areas, has been subjected to a fatigue test several hundred thousand stress processes already go through without the onset of injury the connection would have been recognizable so far. Such one Wooden chair can be optimized in terms of its durability and the desired elasticity values apply.
To pinch fingers in a narrowly selected gap To safely avoid, it is appropriate to use the gap between to lock the handlebar halves to the outside. This can either through a rubber sleeve, the gap or the The parting line can also be completely filled with elastomer be.
Closing the gap also creates an optical one Consistent internal guidance of the spar, which with the appropriate Coloring of the rubber cover or the elastomer filling can hardly be distinguished from one-piece wooden spars.

Fig. 1 zeigt einen Stuhl 10 in Massivholzbauweise.
Fig. 1 shows a
Own between the
In Fig. 2 ist eine Teilansicht des Stuhles 10 nach Fig. 1
dargestellt. In dieser Darstellung ist der Federstab 28 erkennbar,
der die Holmhälften 30, 32 des Holms 20 elastisch
miteinander verbindet.
ist.2 is a partial view of the
The
erzielen. The

The diameter of the
While in the wooden chair shown in Fig. 1 and 2

erreicht.The

dem in Fig. 3 dargestellten Stuhl 50 entspricht. Die beiden
Holmhälften besitzten jedoch plane Stirnflächen 72, 74, so
daß sich eine Trennfuge mit planparallelen Begrenzungsflächen
72, 74 ergibt.
In Fig. 4 a
The desired elasticity of the
