- the coaxial connector in a housing made of conductive Material in the form of a monoblock can be integrated.
- the monoblock forms the coaxial outer conductor in the form of bores. Insulating plastic sleeves are inserted into these holes, in which the coaxial inner conductors are held.
- the coaxial socket module is the coaxial socket in the receiving opening a housing degenerated into a base plate pressed in.
- coaxial connector known from the latter reference has compared to that by reference US 5,169,343 known coaxial connector the further advantage that coaxial plug module and coaxial socket module optionally for one, two, three, four, five or six coaxial connectors can be equipped. In other words the quantity diversity here is not just two but one.
- the invention has for its object for the RF coaxial connector of the latter type, in particular to provide a further solution for its coaxial socket module, the lower in terms of their manufacturing tolerances Requirements and thus cheaper to manufacture is.
- the coaxial outer conductor of the coaxial socket module at least are partially integrated in the housing in that Receiving openings Receiving openings from the housing side Are sleeves that are in the housing to the mating side for the Coaxial connector module in the form of conductive coaxial outer conductors extend that the housing-side sleeves one in their Outside diameter preferably widened step-wise have tubular base and that so created in this Insulated plastic sleeves are used for the coaxial outer conductor that take up the coaxial inner conductor.
- the invention is based on the finding that similar to the Monoblock version for the housing of the coaxial connector module for the coaxial connector according to EP 0582960 A1 also for the housing of the coaxial socket module Coaxial outer conductors can be integrated into the housing, that its receiving openings for the coaxial sockets on the housing side conductive sleeves that extend the function of coaxial outer conductors for the coaxial sockets can.

- the housing 3 of the coaxial connector module 1 and the housing 4 of the coaxial socket module 2 can in itself be a metal housing, for example made of zinc injection molding.
- Both The exemplary embodiments shown in the drawing are Housing 3 and 4, however, completely or only partially metallized plastic housing.
- the layer thickness of the metallization is at least equal to the penetration depth of the electromagnetic to be transmitted via the coaxial connector Waves.
- the housings 3 and 4 are completely metallized.
- Coaxial outer conductors of the housing 3 and 4 are no coaxial inner conductor used yet.
- the coaxial outer conductor are not visible in Fig. 1, but through there the strip-shaped cover 10 inserted into the rear wall 5 and in Fig. 2 by the visible in the bottom 6 with 11 Opening openings indicated.
- the housings 3 and 4 Due to the area-wide metallization of the housings 3 and 4 are all coaxial outer conductors on the one hand of the coaxial connector module 1 and on the other hand the coaxial socket module 2 with each other electrically connected. This is usually desirable because the potential of the coaxial outer conductor is usually lies on ground. For example, should the two on the right through their receiving openings 11 indicated coaxial outer conductor potential of the other four coaxial outer conductors on the one hand on the part of the coaxial socket module 2 and on the other hand, on the part of the coaxial connector module 1 if necessary after manufacture and metallization of the housing 3 and 4 can be separated, there are basically for it two possibilities.

- the groove middle bar 13 should not go over the top of the groove 12 survive.
- the housing-outside groove shown in Figs. 1 and 2 12 with its groove middle web 13 can also, for example the housings 3 and 4 are moved to the left, so that a subsequent isolation of the two left Coaxial outer conductor from the remaining four right coaxial outer conductors can be brought about.
- With three outside of the housing Grooves 12 with groove middle web 13, that is, in their multiple exterior application, can if necessary subsequently the potentials of all six coaxial outer conductors be separated from each other.
- the electrically conductive connection of the coaxial outer conductor the coaxial plug module 1 and the coaxial socket module 2, which, it should be mentioned again, in Fig. 2 through the six receiving openings 11 for the coaxial inner conductor in the bottom 6 of the Housing 4 are indicated by means of connecting pins 14, which is fastened individually or several times to earth strips 15 are used.
- the pins 14 are for their electrically conductive connection with them on the part of one Document or a circuit board assigned connections provided with press-in contact heads 16. Individual pins 14 are in metallized wall holes 17 in the bottom 6 inserted and held there in the press fit. For attachment the pins attached to ground strips 15 in the bottom 6 metallized wall slots 18 are provided.
- the housing 4 in FIG. 3 Coaxial socket module 2 shown on the outside only the bottom 6 is provided with a metallization M.
- This metallization M which is therefore only partially provided extends to the receiving openings 11 and the inner wall that described in more detail in FIGS. 5-10, in the housing 4 integrated coaxial outer conductor.
- the groove 12 with the groove middle web is therefore not annular here on the circumference of the housing 4 but only on the outside the bottom 6 are provided.
- a corresponding partial Metallization can be found in the housing 3 of the coaxial connector module 1 can also be made.
- the partial metallization of the housing 4 of the coaxial socket module 3 can be driven further because the outside of the bottom 6 of the housing 4 only so far with a metallization M around the receiving openings 11 must be provided around as this for contact with the pins 14 is required. Any desired Potential separations between the coaxial outer conductors can be taken into account immediately.

Abstract
Description
Require circuits for high frequency electromagnetic waves Coaxial connector for effective transmission of the electromagnetic energy within the one representing it Line section practically no jumps in wave resistance may have. In today's usual implementation such circuits come in circuit board technology Coaxial multiple connectors, namely straight coaxial connectors and coaxial angle connectors, in high Packing density for use, their electrical, printed circuit board side Connection by means of press-fit into the circuit board Connection pins is made.
The invention relates to an RF coaxial connector, consisting of arranged in a multiple connector housing Coaxial connectors - coaxial connector module - and in one Multiple socket housings arranged coaxial sockets - coaxial socket module - in which the coaxial connector module and the Coaxial socket module each on a base, for example a printed circuit board, attached and in on the pad fortified state with their bottom side with the coaxial conductors connected pins a conductive connection use them to make connections assigned on the document side, in which the coaxial inner conductor of the coaxial connector module insulated with their bottom-side connecting pins in bores representing its coaxial outer conductor Housing are included, in which the coaxial inner conductor of the coaxial socket module with its bottom-side connecting pins each isolated from their coaxial outer conductors Receiving openings of its housing are arranged and in which the coaxial socket module and the coaxial connector module, the over an equal number of coaxial plugs and coaxial sockets in the same order, on the part of their connection Have means for their mutual centering.
Known RF coaxial connectors, such as those are known from the literature US 5,169,343, require a particularly high manufacturing outlay, if the coaxial connector in terms of number of its Coaxial connections have sufficient flexibility should.
Like the literature US 5,169,343 with the help of the figures shows the housing of the coaxial connector module and of the coaxial socket module for six each Coaxial plugs or coaxial sockets designed in pairs combined into connectors, can be used in their housing are. In this way it is possible depending on the need and application the housings of the coaxial plug module and coaxial socket module with two, four or six assigned to each other To equip coaxial plugs and coaxial sockets. Of the high manufacturing outlay for such coaxial connectors results from the inevitable placement game between the connectors to be inserted into the housing, the associated eccentricity of the coaxial mating face towards the theoretical center as well as inadmissible Inclinations of coaxial plugs and / or coaxial sockets when pressed into the housing or the connector side Receiving openings. To inadmissible chain lengths here Avoiding positional tolerances can occur when manufacturing the Individual components only very tight tolerances are allowed, which leads to correspondingly high manufacturing costs.
As the further reference EP 0582960 A1 shows, can be the described manufacturing costs of such coaxial connectors significantly lower for the coaxial connector module, that the coaxial connector in a housing made of conductive Material in the form of a monoblock can be integrated. The monoblock forms the coaxial outer conductor in the form of bores. Insulating plastic sleeves are inserted into these holes, in which the coaxial inner conductors are held. At the In contrast, the coaxial socket module is the coaxial socket in the receiving opening a housing degenerated into a base plate pressed in. The problems already described also occur here with regard to the chain length of the position tolerances.
The coaxial connector known from the latter reference has compared to that by reference US 5,169,343 known coaxial connector the further advantage that coaxial plug module and coaxial socket module optionally for one, two, three, four, five or six coaxial connectors can be equipped. In other words the quantity diversity here is not just two but one.
The invention has for its object for the RF coaxial connector of the latter type, in particular to provide a further solution for its coaxial socket module, the lower in terms of their manufacturing tolerances Requirements and thus cheaper to manufacture is.
This object is achieved according to the invention in that the coaxial outer conductor of the coaxial socket module at least are partially integrated in the housing in that Receiving openings Receiving openings from the housing side Are sleeves that are in the housing to the mating side for the Coaxial connector module in the form of conductive coaxial outer conductors extend that the housing-side sleeves one in their Outside diameter preferably widened step-wise have tubular base and that so created in this Insulated plastic sleeves are used for the coaxial outer conductor that take up the coaxial inner conductor.
The invention is based on the finding that similar to the Monoblock version for the housing of the coaxial connector module for the coaxial connector according to EP 0582960 A1 also for the housing of the coaxial socket module Coaxial outer conductors can be integrated into the housing, that its receiving openings for the coaxial sockets on the housing side conductive sleeves that extend the function of coaxial outer conductors for the coaxial sockets can.

Reihen angeordnet. Aus dem Boden 6 des Koaxial-Buchsenmoduls
2 und dem Boden 7 des Koaxial-Steckermoduls 1 stehen Zentrierstifte
8 bzw. 9 hervor, die bei ihrem Aufsetzen auf eine
Unterlage, vorzugsweise eine Leiterplatte, in ihnen dort zugeordnete
Ausnehmungen eingreifen.
Like the
Durch die flächendeckende Metallisierung der Gehäuse 3 und 4
sind alle Koaxial-Außenleiter einerseits des Koaxial-Steckermoduls
1 und andererseits des Koaxial-Buchsenmoduls 2 miteinander
elektrisch leitend verbunden.
Due to the area-wide metallization of the
One way is to make the
The housing-outside groove shown in Figs. 1 and 2

Anwendung kommen.Instead of one or
The electrically conductive connection of the coaxial outer conductor

For the sake of completeness, we would like to point out

dargestellten Koaxial-Buchsenmoduls 2 an dessen Außenseite
Diese also lediglich teilweise vorgesehene Metallisierung M
In contrast to FIG. 2, the
In entsprechender
Weise kann auch der Koaxial-Steckermodul 1 teilweise
metallisiert sein. The partial metallization of the
in das rohrförmige Fußteil 24 erstrecken.5 is a partial section of a coaxial socket module

In die metallisierten Hülsen 23 sind isolierende Kunststoffhülsen
27 eingesetzt, die die metallischen Koaxial-Innenleiter
28 in sich aufnehmen. In ihrem Rohrinnendurchmesser sind
die Hülsen 23 zweifach stufenförmig abgesetzt. In gleicher
Weise sind die Kunststoffhülsen 27 in ihrem Außendurchmesser
zweifach abgesetzt.
Insulating plastic sleeves are in the metallized
If higher demands are placed on the plug properties,
it makes sense to integrate the coaxial outer conductor

Ein zweites Ausführungsbeispiel für eine Teilintegration der
Koaxial-Außenleiter zeigen die den Fig. 7 und 8 entsprechenden
Fig. 9 und 10.
A second embodiment for a partial integration of the

bzw. 47 eingeschoben. Die die Kunststoffhülsen 44 bzw. 45 in
Like the coaxial connector module shown in section in FIG. 11

14 versehenen, in Fig. 2 dargestellten Massestreifen
The mutual shielding between the one above the other

Also with the coaxial connector module 1 according to FIGS. 1 and 11

In the embodiments shown in the drawing is the coaxial connector module 1 as an angle connector part and the coaxial socket module 2 as a straight connector part shown.
