Abstract

The support comprises spring elements arranged in a regular grid pattern and attached by their feet to the support base. The grid corresponds in size and shape to that of a supported cushion layer, e.g. a mattress which is carried on support plates on top of the spring bodies. The plates cover the cushion underface with gaps only between each plate and each grid crossing point includes one or more spring elements with spring bodies onto which connecting arms are integrally formed. In a design variation the connecting arms are non-permanently connected to the spring elements at each grid cross point. A use for the support is claimed in which the spring element grid and the mattress layer are sewn inside a cover with the side edges under the cover covered by cushioning strips.

Description

The invention relates to a pad with rigid or semi-rigid underlay, in regular rows and columns arranged spring elements, the feet of which are fixed on the base are the heads of which have support plates which cover the surface to be upholstered, with the exception of the gaps between adjacent support plates. essentially cover completely and on the one continuous, mattress-like overlay can be placed, the spring elements between Foot and head have a spring body.

For the upholstery of beds it is (for example from DE 36 12 603 A1, EP-A-0 031 132, DE 93 17 114 U1) known, the lying area as to form a surface divided into partial areas. Each of these sub-areas has a platter. The entirety of these plates forms the lying surface, which is provided with a (simple) pad becomes. This type of upholstery offers a significantly increased Comfort compared to mattresses stored on a slatted frame. Such upholstery pads are always in connection with to see a mattress frame, so that here only the dimensions the beds can be operated, taking into account their rectangular shape is. Retrofitting of unusual sizes or of the rectangle deviating forms is excluded. In particular, the EP-A-0 653 174 a cushion cover in which the spring elements feet on points that are fixed on a plate or on a slat, and which are provided with support plates that cover the support surface - apart from the gaps between adjacent support plates - in essentially cover completely. The disadvantage here is that the feet the spring elements on the base or on the slats are so that they cannot be easily installed.

It is therefore the object of the invention against the background shown the prior art, a generic cushion pad propose that is weight-saving, the size and shape to the Available upholstered or lying areas advantageously adapted can be placed on top of this, and also easy retrofitting existing upholstery, especially beds allowed, and the can be produced economically and is simple and easy to install.

This task is solved by the respective characteristics of the independent Claim; advantageous development and preferred embodiments describe the subclaims that refer back to each.

To solve the problem is a cross-piece that can be placed on the base formed grid provided that the size and shape of the can be adapted to the padded surface. Every crossing piece has at least one spring body; the spring bodies are there in the middle or in a regular arrangement on the connecting straps arranged. Each of the spring elements has at least one per se known spring body provided with a support plate. This Plates cover - apart from the gaps between neighboring support plates - essentially the surface to be padded complete. These crossing pieces form the lattice elements of the grid to be placed, which by means of the connecting tabs to an in Size and shape of the pad adjustable grid joined together become. These connecting tabs are in a first embodiment molded and releasably attached in a second embodiment.

In both embodiments are spring elements provided one of which is either centered on the intersection or more are provided in a regular arrangement on the arms are; here it goes without saying that also combinations with a central spring body and further spring bodies on the Poor are possible. The distances between the vertical axes are Spring elements chosen so that the support plate covers the padded surface cover almost completely, between adjacent edges the support plate remains a gap ensuring its mobility.

A development of the second embodiment is given by that the feet of the spring body as the joints between the crossing pieces and the connecting straps or between two connecting straps bridging butt connectors are formed. By this training take over the spring elements themselves the tab function and connect crossing pieces with each other, whereby it is it goes without saying that there are also bridging distances tabs can still be used.

The crossing pieces and / or the connecting straps serve as receptacles for the spring elements. To do this, the spring elements are either integrally formed on the base plates of the crossing pieces or them are designed as spring elements, the foot parts of plug or clip elements have, which in corresponding openings of the crossing pieces be introduced. It goes without saying that also the crossing pieces can have plug-in elements, for example plug-in plugs, which are inserted into corresponding openings in the foot parts. The plug-in dowels or their hole receptacles are advantageously designed such that that a clamping effect occurs that the plug-in dowels in the receiving hole fixed.

The base plate is advantageously designed as a rectangular plate, where the two longitudinal edges abutting each other at right angles with locking tongues and the other two, also abutting at right angles Longitudinal edges have approaches with locking openings. The locking tongues and the locking openings are symmetrical in pairs arranged to the center line of the spring elements. The other two Longitudinal edges is at least one to one of these locking tongues or Corresponding latching tongue or latching opening are provided, which are designed so that they can be joined together and interact with one another Latching means can be locked together. This Training allows the base plates to be joined together, whereby by the paired arrangement of the catch tabs and the catch opening approaches The connections are symmetrical to the center line of the spring elements be stabilized.

Due to the snap-in connections, the base plates of the spring elements can easily be put together into (almost) any shape, particularly by using the embodiment with a reduced width (one snap-in tongue attachment or snap-in opening attachment on two mutually opposite side edges) to form cushion pads. The locking tongue approaches are advantageously designed so that their material thickness "h" is half compared to the thickness "H" of the base plate. In contrast, the catch opening approaches have free spaces in the area of the overlap, the depth of which corresponds to the material thickness “h” of the catch tongues. This measure ensures that the thickness of the base plate is the same throughout the joint area; There are no beads at the joints.
In an alternative form, the base plate is rectangular and has an extension with a latching tongue on the narrow side edges and an extension with a latching opening on the opposite side, which are aligned in the center line of the spring element. The longitudinal side edges, on the other hand, are provided with two latching tongue approaches and two latching opening approaches, which are aligned symmetrically to the center. In another alternative form, the base plate is square. It has two latching tabs on two right-angled longitudinal side edges and two corresponding latching opening approaches on the two other opposite longitudinal side edges, each on either side of the center line. In these designs, the base plate is strictly symmetrical and allows additional base plates to be attached in one and in the other direction, whereby further rectangular partial surfaces - such as half or quarter panels - can be attached in order to be able to provide molds with upholstery that differ from the grid dimension deviate and / or are not delimited by straight, right-angled lines.

The locking means are advantageous as locking tongues with molded locking lugs trained, each arranged twice with their backs against each other stand, the interacting other locking means are designed as a locking opening, the edges of which here outwards pointing locking tabs are engaged. In another training the locking lugs point inwards and act with a locking opening web bordering to the outside. With both arrangements act the two locking tongues of a locking connection against each other, so that it is ensured that the resting position is always defined.

These lattice elements connected to one another in this way can easily be used Place the attachment on a flat surface. Through this Training can be a surface of any shape to be upholstered with a thus formed latticework are provided, the support plate almost covering the entire upholstery area is determined by the distances between the Support plates with each other and apart from marginal areas. Here The base does not have to be a flat base, it can because of the flexibility of the lattice work thus formed from lattice elements also uneven surfaces - for example with a trained inclined bearing from the head / neck area or from the leg area - with this type the padding. Neither is there a need for self-contained Surface, because this lattice also bridges gaps can be.

The spring elements, which each of the grid elements has, then give the possibility to use a mattress-like overlay on their Spring properties - because of the spring properties of the spring body Grid elements - no overly large requirements have to be made. While in the first embodiment, the lattice elements into one regular grids are interconnected at the second embodiment, the grid elements brought into a regular arrangement linked by means of connecting tabs, that the grid is created; these connecting tabs can accordingly the crossing pieces are formed; but they can also be applied Tabs are inserted between the crossing pieces so that the crossing pieces of both embodiments to the grid with each other are connected.

According to an advantageous further development, the spring elements are fixed in the crossing area or along the connecting arms with holding elements molded onto the crossing element or the connecting arms. Holding elements are provided on a lower plate inserted from the back of the grille, which are guided through openings in the crossing piece or in the connecting arms, and which interact in a form-fitting manner with shapes of the foot. For this purpose, both crossing pieces and connecting arms are provided with openings arranged in a grid pattern, through which the holding elements for the spring elements can be passed. The formations are designed as centrally arranged, central openings which, in one embodiment, permit a form fit; in addition, their cross-section is approximately triangular, cruciform or the like.
In another development, a central round hole is provided in the central region of an intersection element, into which a pin, which is attached to the spring element, is inserted. This design allows the spring element used to be rotated; The central circular hole is advantageously provided with at least one, preferably with two locking ramps, which form inclined planes partially surrounding the hole, and the holding element guided through this hole is designed in the form of a nozzle and provided with a nose that overlaps the locking ramp / s. This training allows tensioning and locking. The nose is advantageously formed by a cross pin to the axis of the pin, the projecting ends of which slide onto the inclined planes of the locking lamps and thus fasten the spring element to the base.

To simplify production, there are at least the crossing pieces the grid is formed as a plastic injection molded part; is advantageous it when doing the connecting lugs as crossing arms to the crossing pieces are molded. Alternatively, the connecting pools attached to the crossing pieces as separate parts. To put together connectors are provided with which the joints of the Junction points and the connecting tabs can be connected; it is advantageous to design the base of the spring elements in such a way that it can be used as a connector.

It is also advantageous if the connecting straps as injection molded parts are made of plastic; alternatively there are connecting straps designed as extrudable extrusions made of plastic. The latter training in particular allows a profile with undercuts for fixing correspondingly designed spring element feet.

In an advantageous development, the base plates are also included Spring elements and their support plates molded in one piece from plastic; It is advantageous if a number (approximately 2, 3 or 4) the interconnected base plates are injection molded in one piece. Through this one-piece manufacture, which is based on the use of a Plastic is parked for the entire spring element, can the spring elements thus obtained are used immediately, others Work handles to complete these spring elements are superfluous.

In an alternative embodiment, the base plate and the spring element if necessary, manufactured separately with head plate, for the different Plastics can be used. These spring elements however, must be completed with additional work steps. During the separate production of the base plate and spring body The advantage is that different plastics are used a one-piece production allows economical production even larger units that make up the latticework can be. With one-piece production of multiple base plates it goes without saying that that of the tongues and the Tongue recordings specified grid size is also observed here, so that single base plates or partial base plates are also used can, whereby it does not matter whether these base plates in one piece with the spring element with spring body and support plate are provided, or they still have to be applied. This allows also the use of different "hard" upholstery elements in a latticework.

These grids formed in this way can now easily form and the size of a bed, a seat or lying surface in about one Mobile home or on board a sports boat. The grid is provided with spring elements, which ultimately the upholstery properties determine the document; therefore with such documents instead of elaborate mattresses also simple editions, for example simple foam pads, find use, especially in harsh handling on board a boat does not last long enough have, and their replacement - in contrast to the replacement a mattress - can be economically justified. By the Cutting to size and shape also "cuts" stitches, this can result in gaps in the edge area, which may be half Support plates (or support plates that are cut accordingly are) can still be filled. However, the area to be upholstered - apart from these possible gaps in the edge area - covered over the entire area and the empty spaces right on the edge don't bother them are covered by the edition.

This type of padded design is particularly useful Lying surface when that formed by the spring elements Grid on its rigid or semi-rigid surface with a more or less strong padding sewn into a cover becomes. This results in a mattress-like one that resembles a futon Pad that can be easily placed on smooth floor.

To this Any base 3 is placed on the grid, which of the Spring elements 20 with their spring bodies provided with the support plates 29 21 is formed. This support plate 29 form the in Partial resolved upholstery surface on which the mattress 6 is placed is. Each of the spring elements 20 has a spring body 21, the lower end of which stands as the foot 23 on the crossing piece 13, and the top of which forms the head, the one with a platen 29 is provided. The foot of the spring elements 20 is shown with the middle plate of the crossing piece 13 from which the grid is assembled is connected so that the spring body 21 firmly on the Crossing piece 13 is held.

Figures 2 and 3 show two different designs of one Grid: FIG. 2 represents one of four grid elements 12 Mesh of the grid 10, and it goes without saying that by attaching further grid elements 12 this grid can be brought to the required size, including a predetermined one Shape - if necessary, by trimming marginal grid elements 12 - are complied with as required can. The grid element 12 is formed by intersection pieces 13 the sides of which arms 14 are attached, in one embodiment crossing pieces 13 and arms 14 made in one piece, preferably injection molded, and, in another embodiment, the crossing pieces 13 and the arms 14 separately manufactured and assembled become; the crossing pieces 13 are also advantageously injected here, while the arms 14 may be extruded. This essentially Double-T-shaped arms have a central web in one design 14.1, on which side flanges 14.2 are formed on both sides.

In these embodiments, crossing pieces 13 and arms 14 form the grid elements 12, which have central recesses 13.1 and 15.1 provided in the middle plate of the crossing pieces 13 or in the arms 14 are in the lugs 24.1 on the base plate 24 of the spring elements 20 (or guides of a lower base plate 26) engage or through the pins provided with a locking pin 26.2 26.1 (FIG. 7) are guided to fix the grid elements 12 in their position, the shape of these recesses 13.1 the shape of the engaging element is adjusted. 2 and 3, these recesses 13.1 and 15.1 are cross-shaped, accordingly, the lugs 24.1 have a corresponding cross shape on. In addition to these central recesses 13.1 and 15.1, there are others Recesses 13.2 and 15.2 provided in the corresponding lugs 24.1 engage on the underside of the foot plate 24 so that each the grid elements 12 (or the spring elements 20 or 30) secured against rotation is fixed in the grid 10. It is because of the symmetrical design possible, the spring elements 20 (or 30) inserted in each case rotated by 90 °, so that the directions of the fold webs 22 (or 32) run crossed and so in the same direction Dodge adjacent spring elements 20 (or 30) when force is applied is prevented.

Dabei kann es sich bei einem der Arme 14 durchaus auch um das Anschlußende an einem der Kreuzungsstücke 13 handeln.FIG. 3 shows an arrangement of 4 grid elements 12, in one Mesh, the 4 crossing pieces 13 connected with molded arms 14 are, and to the means of the outwardly protruding half-arms more stitches can be added. These are free half arms trained so that they form-fitting with a corresponding End of a half arm of a subsequent lattice element 12 or connectable to one of the sides of a following crossing piece 13 are. Can be connected (as shown on the right half arm) also arm connectors 16 are used, as shown in Figure 4. It goes without saying that the multi-lattice elements made in one piece can also have other configurations. These arm connectors 16 engage with corresponding lugs 16.1 in the central recesses 13.1 or 15.1 or 13.2 or 15.2 they, spanning the joint, establish the connection. Here it is advantageous if the spring element feet and the arm connectors have corresponding training, it can then in addition to the Arm connectors also use spring elements to attach to each other to connect abutting arms of the grid element. With that you can then also produce upholstery layers, the lattice base of which Dimensions of the support plates of the spring elements differing periodicity Has. A possible formation of such a connection with the arms 4 shows the crossing pieces or the arms among themselves Side view: Here an arm connector 16 is used, which with its protruding nose 16.1 engages in the central recess 15.1, it being assumed that the length of the arms 14 is such that the separation point just such a cruciform recess 15.1 cuts. The arm connector 16 has further lugs 16.2, which in grab the recesses 15.2 and produce a lock there. One of the arms 14 can also be the connection end act on one of the crossing pieces 13.

A further embodiment of the grid element 12 is shown in FIG. 5: Here the crossing pieces are directly from the base plates 36 of the spring elements 30 formed (wherein in the representation of Figure 5a Spring bodies, which are connected to the feet of the spring body 31, only are indicated). These base plates 36 are with the feet 33 the spring body connected, here as two opposite each other arranged fold webs 32, formed by outer shafts 32.1 and Inner shafts 32.2, between which there is an adjustment of the spring characteristic extend tension members 32.3 formed like a hollow profile, shown are. The head 37 of the spring body 31 is with the support plate 39 provided on which the (not shown here) mattress-like cushion cover is placed.

The base plates 36 are either square or rectangular educated. In the case of a square design, two are at right angles to one another Longitudinal edges with lugs 36.1, the locking tongues 36.2, and the other two, also abutting at right angles Longitudinal edges with lugs 36.5, the snap openings 36.6, provided, the locking tongue approaches 36.1 and the catch opening lugs 36.5 are aligned. With the rectangular one Base plate 36 'are longitudinal side edges and narrow side edges present, the two opposite longitudinal side edges two latch tabs 36.1, each symmetrical to the center line of the spring body 31, and the narrow side edges each have a locking opening approach 36.1 in the center line of the Have spring body 31 which with the locking tongues 36.2 or with Locking openings 36.6 are provided, which are aligned with each other. Analogous this also applies to the narrow side edges, each with a Locking tongue approach 36.1 and a locking opening approach 36.5, which in turn align, are provided. Since the rectangular base plates 36 ', measured with the lugs 36.1 are just half the width like that square base plates 36, they can be easily combine.

The snap connection between the base plates 36 and 36 'is thereby manufactured by the locking tongues 36.2, which over the from the locking opening 36.6 formed locking web 36.7 are pressed, the locking lugs 36.3 pushed apart during insertion and the locking tongues 36.2 elastically deformed; jump due to this elastic deformation these locking tongues back after insertion, the locking lugs 36.3 reach behind the outer edges of the locking web 36.7. Here are the Approaches 36.1 with locking tongues 36.2 formed such that their height "h" corresponds to half the height "H" of the base plate 36, while the with the locking openings 36.6 provided approaches 36.1 in the area Overlaps are so excluded that here the height of the free space 36.5 corresponds to the height "h" of the lugs 36.1 with locking tongues 36.2.
