Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for automatic Processing of sheet material, e.g. Banknotes, according to the Preamble of the main claim.
- banknotes With the bank note processing machines currently in use the banknotes are generally in one Stack individually and by means of a transport route led past a sensor device. The single ones Banknotes are checked by sensors of the sensor device and depending on the test result certain destinations or stacker units supplied.
- banknotes can be the banknotes according to different Assess criteria. Accordingly, there are several stacker units present that the banknotes of different Categories to units of an adjustable Stack the number of pieces. For example, if you want banknotes certain category with a number of 100 banknotes to be stacked, it is necessary after arrival the 100th note on the stacker in continuous Banknote stream a separation between the 100th and the subsequent banknote intended for the same stacker to make.
- a solution is known from EP-OS 0 119 814, which with one stacker per banknote category. Is to a separator is provided on the stacker. First located this separating element in a rest position until analog stacked 100 banknotes for the above example have been. Then the separating element is in the Banknote flow between the 100th and the following Note introduced so that the subsequent notes be temporarily stored on the separating element. Meanwhile can the stacked unit of banknotes be emptied. After emptying, the temporarily stored Banknotes placed in the stacker. The Separating element returns to its rest position.
- the solution has the disadvantage that at higher transport speeds relatively high actuating forces for acceleration the separating element must be applied what can only be achieved with a correspondingly high effort can. At very high transport speeds the safe functioning of the truck is not guaranteed become.
- the object of the invention is therefore a Method and device for automatic processing or stacking of sheet material, e.g. Banknotes to propose that reliable even at high transport speeds is working.
- the banknotes as known per se, isolated, on a transport system handed over, checked and dependent on the check according to predetermined categories in so-called forklifts Units of predetermined numbers stacked.
- For every Category is in the banknote sorting facility Forklift provided.
- the basic idea of the invention is in that the transfer of banknotes to the Transport system is interrupted after in the Sensor device is determined that the predetermined Number of pieces in a category has been reached.
- the too banknotes of the same category are buffered in the sorting system, until the stacker drops the predetermined one Number of pieces processed.
- the time for that Interruption of the separation must be such that the first banknote after the break in separation is isolated, only reaches the truck when it is ready for use again.
- the Banknotes temporarily stored in the stacker itself.
- the Stacker is designed as a spiral stacker, such as described in DE-OS 32 32 348.
- the truck consists among other things of a stacking wheel with spiral arranged compartments and a stripper.
- the necessary temporary storage of banknotes will performed within the stacking wheel.
- the banknotes are stacked in units of 100 notes there is a need to separate between the 100th and the following, already in the stacker note. This separation is through solved a special stripper that continuously can be withdrawn from the spiral stacker.
- the Withdrawal is done so that the 100th banknote is still is stripped from the spiral stacker, but that any further banknotes that may follow in the spiral stacker remain.
- the stripper must be back in his working position will have returned when the im Stacker remaining banknotes after a corresponding one Turn the spiral stacker to the storage position.
- the invention has the advantage that per banknote category only a stacker is required. Because the withdrawal of the scraper compared to the banknote transport speed performed relatively slowly can be used to operate the scraper actuating forces to be applied are comparatively low. The There is separation between individual notes in the banknote stream therefore also with high transport speeds appropriate accuracy feasible.
- the necessary temporary storage of banknotes through a buffer line integrated in the transport line be made.
- the banknotes are there with the help introduced into the buffer section of a conventional switch and returned to the main transportation system as soon as the truck is ready for use again.
- Fig. 1 shows a schematic diagram of an inventive Contraption. It consists of a separator 10, introduced into the at least one stack of banknotes 110 which is made up of a number of individual banknotes, such as banknotes 102 and 103.
- the banknotes shown 100 and 101 have already been removed from the banknote stack 110 removed and individually a transport route 30 to hand over. With the help of the separator 10 accordingly arises a continuous flow of individual banknotes.
- the subsequent sensor device 20 is composed of a or several sensors together, which have certain characteristics check the banknotes. Depending on the test result the banknotes are either on the transport route 30 to a stacker 50 or via the transport route 31 other, not shown here, further processing Units transported.
- a buffer 40 which in the Is able to store a number of banknotes, depending on the Dimensioning of the intermediate memory 40 for a predetermined one Caching time.
- the flow of banknotes is coordinated by a controller 60. she is able from the other components of the device Receive information and certain information or to issue control commands to them.
- processing banknote 100 For processing the banknotes of the banknote stack 110, this is first introduced into the separator 10 and the separator 10 from the controller 60 via the data line 71 activated.
- processing banknote 100 is to serve here. It will first isolated from the separator 10 and into the transport system 30 passed. The transport system 30 transports the banknote 100 into the sensor device 20, where the banknote 100 is checked for certain features. The sensor device 20 transmits the test result the data line 72 to the controller 60. This activates certain control devices via the data line 73 in the transport system, e.g. Turnouts so that the banknote 100 according to the test result of the associated processing unit is fed. This can e.g. the stacker 50 in which e.g. the as real identified banknotes of a certain face value get saved.
- the controller 60 monitors the number of banknotes that to the individual processing facilities be handed over. First, e.g. from the sensor device 20 the banknote 100 checked and the test result to controller 60 via data line 72 transmitted. Controller 60 determines that the banknote 100 is intended for the stacker 50 and with this Banknote the predetermined number of a category of Banknotes in the stacker 50 is reached, it stops the separator 10 via the data line 71. The banknote 100 thus represents the last banknote of the stacking unit 120 of the stacker 50 and is due corresponding control commands from the controller 60 the data line 73 is conveyed into the stacker 50.
- the Banknotes that are at the time of the singling stop are already in the transport route 30 (here banknote 101) or which are currently being isolated (here banknote 102) become sensor device 20 transported, checked there and the corresponding further processing Units fed. Should some or all of these checked banknotes for stacker 50 be determined, they are initially in the buffer 40 saved at an appropriate time is activated by the controller 60.
- the separator 10 from the controller 60 via the data line 71 reactivated and the separation process continued with the banknote 103 of the stack of banknotes.
- the controller 60 can also be operated via the Data line 75 receive information from the stacker 50, which indicates its operational readiness. Because of This information is then activated by the controller 60 again the separation process.
- the stacker 50 can Readiness information before the time of his send actual readiness so that the next possible banknote the stacker 50 at the time reached its actual readiness.
- the cache 40 receives simultaneously with the activation of the separation process via data line 74 Control command to empty the stored in it Banknotes in the stacker 50.
- the sensor device 20 and the transport path 30 was omitted because of these components and their function are sufficiently known.
- FIG. 2 each show a special embodiment of the stacker 50 and the buffer 40.
- the peculiarity of the first embodiment exists in that both the stacking of the banknotes and the temporary storage during the separation gap be performed in the stacker 50.
- the in Fig. 2 in shown in a highly schematic form a stacking wheel 51 with spirally arranged compartments, a stripper 52 and a stacking compartment 53.
- a special feature here is the flexible design of the Scraper 52 so that it moves out of the stacking wheel 51 or be driven into the stacking wheel 51 can.
- the intermediate storage 40 is by means of the stacking wheel 51 and the stripper 52 of the stacker 50 realized. The interaction of the individual components is described in more detail below with reference to FIG. 2.
- the stripper is in normal batch operation 52 in a position in which it is located in the stacking wheel Leaves can strip out. This position is in Fig. 2A is shown and is in the following working position called.
- the individual banknotes are taken from the transport route 30 transported directly into the stacking wheel 51.
- the stripper 52 detects the banknotes at each Edge facing the center of the stacking wheel 51 and strips these banknotes out of the stacking wheel 51 so that they are stacked in the stacking compartment 53.
- FIG. 2B shows how the stripper 52 strips the banknote 100 out of the stacking wheel 51, while this is extended from the stacking wheel 51.
- the banknotes 101 and 102, which are at the singling stop were already in the transport route 30 according to the example shown also the stacker 50 assigned. You will therefore be off the transport route 30 transported in the stacking wheel 51. Banknotes 101 and 102 remain during the extension of the stripper 52 in stacking wheel 51.
- 2C shows the stripper 52 in its extended position Position.
- the banknotes 101 and 102 remain Intermediate storage for one or more revolutions in the Storage wheel 51. Reach due to the singling stop no further banknotes the stacker 50.
- the stacked unit 120 of banknotes can now e.g. by means of a suitably shaped gripper, which, however, here is not shown, emptied from the stacking compartment 53 become.
- the separator 10 is at an appropriate time reactivated by controller 60 so that the next Banknote 103 reaches the stacking wheel 51 so that it is brought into the subject, if possible, onto the subject the banknote 102 follows.
- Fig. 2D shows how the stripper 52 back to the working position in the stacking wheel 51 is retracted without the banknotes in the stacking wheel 51 to influence.
- the temporarily stored banknotes 101 and 102 are then emptied from stripper 52 into the Stripped out stacking compartment 53 and the subsequent banknote 103 reaches the stacker 50.
- the stacker 50 is located now in normal batch mode again.
- the extension or extension of the stripper 52 can, for example by a stepper motor or a linear drive will be realized.
- 3 shows another Possibility of using a contour disc 54 exists. This is on one axis with the stacking wheel 51 attached. There are guide grooves in the contour disk 54 55, in the shape of the course of the subjects of the stacking wheel 51 are adapted.
- To remove the Stripper 52 becomes a bolt 56 by a corresponding one Guide groove 55 in a designated Opening introduced at the top of the stripper 52. This can e.g. by means of a not shown here Solenoids happen.
- By rotating the stacking wheel 51 including the contour disk 54 is now the bolt 56 guided along the guide groove 55.
- the stacking wheel 51 after Recording the banknote 102 for a short time for at least accelerates part of the rotation of the stacking wheel 51 be so that the banknotes are stripped faster and the waiting time for one turn of the Stacking wheel 51 can be reduced.
- the stripper 52 can thus be inserted earlier into the stacking wheel 51 and the stacker 50 is thus earlier again ready to accept the following banknote 103.
- the number of banknotes that are cached must depend on the length of the transport route 30 between the separator 10 and the sensor device 20 from.
- the exact times of the stop or activation of the separator essentially result from the dimensions of the transport route 30 and the transport speed of banknotes.
- the buffer is 40 not integrated in the stacker 50, but as a separate buffer section 80 into the transport section 30 brought in.
- Fig. 4 shows a schematic diagram of a Such a buffer section 80. It consists among other things a switch 81, with the help of which the banknotes for intermediate storage led out of the transport route 30 become. These then arrive on a transport route 82 in a self-contained transport route 83, in which they are cached. Essentially it will the number of banknotes in the buffer by the The extent of the transport route 83 is determined and the duration the caching by the number of revolutions of the Banknotes in the transport route 83.
- This embodiment has the advantage that it is not based on certain properties of the truck 50 is instructed, whereby special components of the stacker 50 are dispensed with and this can be done arbitrarily.
