Definitions
- the invention relates to a plastic spacer plug for window bars of insulating glass panes consisting of hollow profiled bars according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the known spacer plug (G 89 06 630) is provided in the plug surface with honeycomb depressions, the bottoms of which form a longitudinal wall extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the plug, which thus divides the plug into two parts and the stability of the plug when it is driven into the hollow profile rods as well as when firing after the impact, by supporting the surrounding walls and thereby preventing these walls from deforming in a manner that affects the quality of the fastening.
- the elastic behavior of the stopper is essential for its correct installation in the rung profile cavity, especially if the wall of the rung is very thin, as is often the case with the decorative rungs frequently used today.
- the honeycomb construction gives the stopper the desired strength, but due to the desired press fit between stopper and rungs, it can lead to a deformation of the rung wall when the stopper is knocked in, which affects the appearance of the rung in the connection area of the rung / spacer profile.
- the stopper should also be such that it does not slip out again after being inserted or hammered into the profile rod cavity before the rung is shot.
- the object of the invention is therefore on the one hand to maintain the strength achieved by the honeycomb structure of the rung, and on the other hand to maintain the suspension properties or elasticity to improve the plug in the areas in which it comes into direct contact with the inner wall of the window rung.
- width B of the transverse walls of the stopper measured transversely to the longitudinal direction of the stopper is substantially smaller than the stopper width measured over the two parallel outer edge edges, a width ratio of 1: 3 having proven to be expedient.
- transverse walls are expediently connected to one another by a longitudinal wall extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the stopper, which together with the transverse walls supports the bottom wall and top wall of the stopper, which at least partially run parallel to one another.
- the plane of symmetry of the plug has proven to be suitable for the arrangement of this longitudinal wall, and the transverse walls are advantageously distributed along the longitudinal wall at an equal distance from one another.
- the spacer plug 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is made of plastic and is adapted in terms of its outline to the inner cross section of the window rung in which it is to be used.
- the stopper is inserted into the respective rung end and fastened to the frame profile body of the insulating glass pane by means of shooting, whereby the rung is fixed to this profile body, that is to say the spacing profile of the pane.
- the stopper 1 has at its rear end 7 an end flange 13 which, when the stopper is inserted into the end of the rung, rests on the one hand on the end face of the rung and on the other hand on the frame profile body surface opposite this.
- the end flange is provided with lateral recesses 9, 10, which are adapted in shape to the cross section of the rung profile, not shown in the drawing.
- the stopper surface is provided with honeycomb-like recesses 21, which are separated from one another by parallel intermediate walls 6 extending transversely to the direction of insertion of the stopper indicated by arrow C, the width B of which, measured transversely to the longitudinal direction of the stopper and thus the direction of insertion, is substantially smaller than that of the two parallel outer ones Edge edges 4, 5 measured width D of the plug.
- the width B of the partitions 6 is about one third of the plug width D, which means that the parallel bottom wall 2 and top wall 3 of the plug, which are delimited by the outer edge edges 4, 5, of the partitions 6 in Area of their parts 17, 18 projecting beyond the lateral outer edges 15, 16 of the intermediate walls are not supported and therefore elastically deformable, while the parts 19, 20 of the top wall 2 and bottom wall 3 lying directly on the intermediate walls 6 are supported and therefore rigid.
- the support of the top wall 2 and bottom wall 3 is further supported by the longitudinal wall 14 extending in the direction of the plug longitudinal axis, the surfaces of which on both sides form the bottom of the honeycomb 21 and which is connected to the intermediate walls 6.
- the arrangement is such that the longitudinal wall lies in the plane of symmetry of the plug and the intermediate walls 6 are formed symmetrically with respect to their width B to the longitudinal wall, the intermediate walls being at the same distance E from one another.
- top wall 2 and bottom wall 3 in the region of their parts 17, 18 projecting beyond the intermediate walls 6 is further increased by the fact that, as can be seen from FIG. 3, the thickness of the top wall 2 and the bottom wall 3 increases relative to their parallel edges 11 , 12 reduced.
- the front end 8 of the stopper 1 is closed off by an intermediate wall 6 and tapered, while the rear stopper end 7, which has the end flange 13, is part of the last intermediate wall 6.
- the length L of the intermediate walls 6 measured in the longitudinal direction of the stopper and thus in the insertion direction C is usually smaller than the distance E of the intermediate walls from one another and thus their length, and the stopper height H is dimensioned such that it corresponds to the profile height cross section of the rung.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a plastic spacer plug for window bars of insulating glass panes consisting of hollow profiled bars according to the preamble of claim 1.
The known spacer plug (G 89 06 630) is provided in the plug surface with honeycomb depressions, the bottoms of which form a longitudinal wall extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the plug, which thus divides the plug into two parts and the stability of the plug when it is driven into the hollow profile rods as well as when firing after the impact, by supporting the surrounding walls and thereby preventing these walls from deforming in a manner that affects the quality of the fastening. On the other hand, it has been found that the elastic behavior of the stopper is essential for its correct installation in the rung profile cavity, especially if the wall of the rung is very thin, as is often the case with the decorative rungs frequently used today. It has been shown here that the honeycomb construction gives the stopper the desired strength, but due to the desired press fit between stopper and rungs, it can lead to a deformation of the rung wall when the stopper is knocked in, which affects the appearance of the rung in the connection area of the rung / spacer profile. In addition, the stopper should also be such that it does not slip out again after being inserted or hammered into the profile rod cavity before the rung is shot.
The object of the invention is therefore on the one hand to maintain the strength achieved by the honeycomb structure of the rung, and on the other hand to maintain the suspension properties or elasticity to improve the plug in the areas in which it comes into direct contact with the inner wall of the window rung.
This object is achieved in that the width B of the transverse walls of the stopper measured transversely to the longitudinal direction of the stopper is substantially smaller than the stopper width measured over the two parallel outer edge edges, a width ratio of 1: 3 having proven to be expedient.
The transverse walls are expediently connected to one another by a longitudinal wall extending in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the stopper, which together with the transverse walls supports the bottom wall and top wall of the stopper, which at least partially run parallel to one another.
The plane of symmetry of the plug has proven to be suitable for the arrangement of this longitudinal wall, and the transverse walls are advantageously distributed along the longitudinal wall at an equal distance from one another.
This dimensioning of the width of the transverse walls in relation to the width of the stopper, in particular in connection with the special design, makes it possible for the parts of the ceiling wall and the bottom wall which protrude beyond the lateral outer edges of the transverse walls to be elastically deformed and for those which lie directly on the transverse walls Parts of the top wall and bottom wall are rigid, give the stopper an elasticity in the direction of its height H, which enables the longitudinal edges of the bottom wall and top wall of the stopper to be adapted to the inner cross-section of the rung and thus on the one hand completely prevents buckling of the rung in the connection area and on the other hand prevents one Ensure that the plug is resilient in the rung. This adaptation and thus the desired elasticity of the top wall and bottom wall at the longitudinal edges can be favorably promoted by reducing the thickness of the top wall and the bottom wall towards their parallel edges.
Further advantageous refinements are characterized in the subclaims.

The spacer plug 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 is made of plastic and is adapted in terms of its outline to the inner cross section of the window rung in which it is to be used. For this purpose, the stopper is inserted into the respective rung end and fastened to the frame profile body of the insulating glass pane by means of shooting, whereby the rung is fixed to this profile body, that is to say the spacing profile of the pane.
For this purpose, the stopper 1 has at its
The stopper surface is provided with honeycomb-
The support of the
The elastic behavior of the
The front end 8 of the stopper 1 is closed off by an
The length L of the
