Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a hearing aid with an earmold which is connected to a receiver in a sound-conducting manner, with a microphone which feeds the listener via an amplifier, with manually operable operating elements, and with a connecting element which can be suspended above the ear and arranged between a behind the ear when worn Housing and the earmold.
With HDO hearing aids (HDO = behind the ear), the microphone, the amplifier, the controls, the battery and the handset are housed in a common housing. At the upper end of the housing a tubular rigid bracket is attached, which is curved so that it can be hung over the ear, so that the housing is behind the pinna when worn. The end of the bracket protruding into the housing is acoustically coupled to the receiver, and a flexible sound tube is placed on the other end and ends in a passageway in the earmold. With such HDO hearing aids, the relatively long sound path is unfavorable because it causes undesirable losses. In addition, there are several transitions with different cross-sections on the way from the listener to the ear, which can lead to diffraction and reflections. Another disadvantage is the sound tube, which quickly hardens and becomes brittle, so that it has to be replaced frequently. Finally, through the visible end of the bracket and through the visible sound tube for outsiders, the use of a hearing aid recognizable.
IDO-Hörgeräte haben jedoch den Nachteil, daß aufgrund der begrenzten Abmessungen die Verstärkungsleistung begrenzt ist, und daß die Betätigung der Bedienungselemente wegen der geringen Abmessungen insbesondere älteren Personen Schwierigkeiten bereitet.IDO hearing aids (IDO = in the ear), in which the earmold and the housing with the microphone, amplifier, operating elements, earpiece and battery form a unit that can be attached within the conchae, have the advantage that they can be fitted properly optimal position, and that they do not indicate easily that a hearing aid is used. However, IDO hearing aids have the disadvantage that the amplification power is limited due to the limited dimensions and that the actuation of the operating elements is particularly difficult for older people due to the small dimensions.
The invention has for its object to provide a hearing aid of the type mentioned, which works with higher efficiency than an HDO hearing aid, and which can be attached to the ear to suit the anatomy.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the connecting element consists of a flexible element, each remaining in its bending position, which connects the housing containing the amplifier to a housing containing the receiver and the attached earmold, and in the lines for the electrical Connection of amplifier and handset are arranged.
The fact that only the amplifier and possibly the battery is arranged in the housing behind the ear, while the listener directs the sound directly into the ear via the earpiece, eliminates the long sound path from the listener to the ear, and the sound tube with its disadvantages also omitted. Due to the flexibility of the connecting element between the amplifier housing and the receiver housing, the hearing aid can be adapted to the user's ear without pressure.
The control elements, such as volume controls and switches, are preferably also arranged in the receiver housing and electrically connected to the amplifier via the connecting element. This enables convenient operation.
The microphone is preferably recessed in the receiver housing so that its sound inlet opening points to the rear when the hearing aid is worn. This prevents annoying wind noise.
In a further embodiment, the receiver is interchangeably connected to the receiver housing. This measure makes it possible to insert a handset adapted to the respective degree of hearing loss of the user into the handset housing when it is initially equipped, or to adapt to a changed degree of hearing loss by simply changing the handset.
The receiver housing is expediently given the shape of a receiver for portable cassette players, so that the external impression of a hearing device is avoided. Because the housing only contains the amplifier behind the ear, it can be designed like the end of a normal temple, which further reduces the impression of a hearing aid.

Hierdurch werden beim Benutzen des Hörgerätes im Freien Windgeräusche vermieden.1-4, the hearing aid contains a housing 1, which corresponds in size and shape to the handset of a conventional portable cassette player, and contains a volume control with an externally accessible
The
