Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a waveguide intended to be mounted on the wall of a cooking cavity of a microwave oven between the antenna of a magnetron equipping said oven and an opening made in said wall .
It relates, more specifically, to a waveguide comprising a metal casing of generally tubular shape with a substantially rectangular cross section formed by a cap comprising an elongated upper wall whose an anterior region extends above the wall and whose posterior region extends above the magnetron, two longitudinal side walls, two anterior and posterior transverse walls, and a base comprising a bottom wall traversed by a passage hole for the antenna and open facing the opening to allow the exit of the waves.
The housing of such a waveguide must be perfectly assembled so as to avoid any leakage of waves, and the connection of the lateral and transverse walls with the upper wall forming the cap must in particular have no defects. To accomplish this connection, one must perform rigorous trimming of the parts, folding while respecting the dimensions and assembly by welding. Then each cap is then carefully checked, particularly at the welds. It follows that these operations are delicate and long and present an additional cost in mass production.
L'invention a pour but d'éliminer ces inconvénients. The invention aims to eliminate these drawbacks.
According to the invention, the cap is formed in one piece obtained by stamping and trimming a metal sheet.
Thanks to this stamping, a cap of a seamless piece is obtained having constant dimensions ensuring a careful geometry for its rigorous assembly with the base and the cavity wall, and thus preventing any microwave leakage.
The characteristics and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description which follows, by way of example, with reference to the appended drawing in which:
Figure 1 is a schematic perspective view of a waveguide according to the invention mounted on a cavity of a microwave oven; Figure 2 shows in exploded view and in perspective the waveguide of Figure 1; Figure 3 is a plan view of a strip illustrating the different machining operations for the development of a waveguide cap.
The waveguide shown is intended to be mounted on the wall 1 of a cooking cavity of a microwave oven between the antenna 2 of a magnetron 3 installed laterally to a lateral face 4 of the cavity, and an opening 5 (shown schematically in broken lines) made in the wall 1 of the cavity. This opening 5 is made along an edge of the cavity and therefore extends both on the lateral face 4 and on the
As best seen in Figure 2, the waveguide comprises a metal housing of generally tubular shape with cross section S substantially rectangular. This housing is formed by a
According to the invention, the
Thus, a cap of a seamless piece is obtained having a careful geometry with a view to its precise assembly with the base 13 and the cavity wall 1 and thus preventing any microwave leakage.
As shown in particular in FIG. 2, the anterior
deuxièmes tronçons 18 et 20 pour obtenir lespetits bossages 19, et en poinçonnant dans un côté du deuxième tronçon 20 une série de trous 27 d'aération du guide d'ondes ; - C) détourage des parties 9' et 10' ;
We will now describe the process for manufacturing the
