Definitions
- the invention relates to a self-closing door hinge, according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Hinges can be with an upper part on the pivoting door leaf and with a lower part on a door frame or z.
- a self-closing function and holding in the open position are usually brought about by forced lifting or lifting with rising door hinges and special design of the parts sliding on one another.
- DE-OS 21 29 026 describes in a simple manner how the door leaf can be held in a certain opening angle by sliding edges with a substantially horizontal support surface or platform.
- a disadvantage of all the devices mentioned is that the control of the opening or closing process is always associated with a simultaneous lifting of the door leaf, which is why a distance required for lifting must be maintained between the upper hinge parts or between the door leaf and door frame and the hinge pin is thus visible. Controlling the opening and closing process with rollers or corresponding devices on curves or tracks specially made for this purpose is comfortable, but requires additional material and places high demands on accuracy and material resistance.
- the object of the invention is therefore to propose a door hinge that can be held in the closed and open position by a lock, in which no forced lifting of the door leaf takes place and a convenient but precise control of the opening or closing process is possible with simple means .
- a door hinge consisting of a lower part, in which a hinge pin is inserted, and a hinge upper part, which is rotatable on a hinge pin, and which can be held in the closed and open position by a lock;
- the hinge is characterized in that a sliding block is rotatably mounted on a hinge pin and is axially displaceable in an upper hinge part and has a curve on its lower edge which can interact with a curve of the hinge pin in such a way that when the upper part of the hinge rotates, the sliding block is raised and is set in the intended positions, with the upper hinge part and the lower hinge part continuously abutting end faces.
- the sliding block 1 is a wide ring 13 with preferably four drivers 12 arranged on its circumference. These drivers 12 are preferably parallel to the hinge axis 7 over the entire ring width Bumps 15 with which the sliding block 1 can slide in recesses correspondingly formed on the inner wall 42 of an upper hinge part 4 as grooves 41.
- Bumps 15 with which the sliding block 1 can slide in recesses correspondingly formed on the inner wall 42 of an upper hinge part 4 as grooves 41.
- the top hinge part 4 with projections and the sliding block 1 with matching recesses.
- the vertical guidance of the sliding block 1 has the result that it follows the rotary movement of the door leaf (not shown) fastened to the upper hinge part 4 about the hinge axis 7, whereby according to the sliding process of its lower edge 11 on a shoulder 22 of a hinge pin acting as an abutment 2 moves up and down in the direction of the hinge axis 7.
- the configurations of the lower edge 11 of the sliding block and the hinge pin shoulder 22 as curves 16 and 21 bring about a controlled opening and closing process of the door, as a result of which desired stopping points can be set.
- the curve 16 of the sliding block 1 has cams 14 of the same design which engage in grooves 23, 24 of the curve 21 which are shaped differently in terms of their depth, as shown in FIG. 3.
- the different grooves 23, 24 cause a differentiated depending on the position Persistence of the door, which is why the forces required to change the position are different.
- the change in position is also influenced by the bevels or transitions that are present in the sliding curves 16 and 21 and by the pressure of a spring 5 on the sliding block 1.
- the spring 5 sits after the sliding block 1 on the thinner part 2a of the hinge pin 2 and influences Via its pretension by means of a support ring 6 adjustable in several positions, the closing force of the door, which is generated in the case of doors with forced lifting by the weight of the doors.
- the thicker end 2b of the hinge pin 2 is inserted into a lower hinge part 3 and fastened in holes 26 by means of screws 31.
- the sliding block 1, spring 5 and support ring 6 with cotter pin 61 can be placed on the thinner end 2a of the hinge pin, with the preload of the spring 5 depending on the choice of one of the holes 25 on the Hinge pin 2 aligns.
- the upper hinge part 4 can be pushed onto the hinge bolt which is already installed with the locking mechanism until its end face 43 rests on the end face 32 of the lower hinge part 3.
- the door hinge described is particularly suitable for shower cubicles, but, as far as its use is concerned, is not restricted to special doors and can also be installed in all other doors, windows or flaps.
- metals and plastics can be used, which may be by surface treatment or z.
- B. applied surface coatings are reinforced.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a self-closing door hinge, according to the preamble of
Hinges can be with an upper part on the pivoting door leaf and with a lower part on a door frame or z. B. in shower partitions on a wall or a wall compensation profile and pivotally connected to each other by a hinge pin provided with a locking mechanism.
A self-closing function and holding in the open position are usually brought about by forced lifting or lifting with rising door hinges and special design of the parts sliding on one another.
For the forced levy such. B. specified in DE-OS 21 25 293, lower and upper parts of the hinge bevelled in opposite directions and slide so that one another when opening the door leaf takes place at the same time.
A control of the opening and closing process via so-called sliding curves, which, for. B. from rollers or balls provided additional parts can be found, inter alia, DE-PS 95 231.
A disadvantage of all the devices mentioned is that the control of the opening or closing process is always associated with a simultaneous lifting of the door leaf, which is why a distance required for lifting must be maintained between the upper hinge parts or between the door leaf and door frame and the hinge pin is thus visible. Controlling the opening and closing process with rollers or corresponding devices on curves or tracks specially made for this purpose is comfortable, but requires additional material and places high demands on accuracy and material resistance.
The object of the invention is therefore to propose a door hinge that can be held in the closed and open position by a lock, in which no forced lifting of the door leaf takes place and a convenient but precise control of the opening or closing process is possible with simple means .
To solve this problem, a door hinge is assumed, consisting of a lower part, in which a hinge pin is inserted, and a hinge upper part, which is rotatable on a hinge pin, and which can be held in the closed and open position by a lock; can; the hinge is characterized in that a sliding block is rotatably mounted on a hinge pin and is axially displaceable in an upper hinge part and has a curve on its lower edge which can interact with a curve of the hinge pin in such a way that when the upper part of the hinge rotates, the sliding block is raised and is set in the intended positions, with the upper hinge part and the lower hinge part continuously abutting end faces.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
The vertical guidance of the
The configurations of the
The
The door hinge described is particularly suitable for shower cubicles, but, as far as its use is concerned, is not restricted to special doors and can also be installed in all other doors, windows or flaps.
As a manufacturing material for the hinge parts, metals and plastics can be used, which may be by surface treatment or z. B. applied surface coatings are reinforced.
